What (if anything) are people doing for baby books? I am doing old fashioned books with printed photos like I did for DD, but I keep seeing ads for queepsake (sp?) and other digital ones. Also, if you are taking photos but not many videos, I encourage you to take a few short ones, even if they are a few seconds. It's so sweet to go back and see DD moving around and "talking" as an infant! I bought a simple baby book to fill in, I had one for E as well and kept up with it pretty well. I haven't printed any pictures for it yet but I just plan on printing the few that I need for it every couple months so I don't have to pick up pictures every month. I also make Shutterfly books, I have a newborn one for each of them from our newborn photo shoots and a first year one for E, and will make a first year one for H as well. I like that they take up less space and I can easily make copies for our parents (which double as great mother's day gifts, lol). I have all my pictures backed up in "the cloud", but I do think sometimes how I love/d going through albums and being able to easily grab a picture to take somewhere or do something with. I just don't have the patience or stamina to print them all too, haha. I am NOT a pack rat and I just don't want to store them all.

How much does your LO nap during the day? H really only gets one real nap in, in the afternoon when I swaddle him and put him in the crib and he sleeps for 1.5-3 hours. Besides that he gets cat naps in the bouncer or car seat if we're running errands (15-30 minutes each usually). I've tried swaddling him for a morning nap too but he won't stay down. Just curious what your babes are doing. He sleeps from 8-8, with one or two quick wake ups to eat but he always is back to sleep within 30 minutes.

Eames I also do a regular baby book with photos and do first year photo book. I also have a family scrapbook now. Last year I did start using the app, one second everyday. It takes a second of a video or you can use a picture, then at the end of the year I compiled it all into a video. I love it and it is super easy and sends reminders to do it each day. I love seeing how much they have grown and hearing their little voices! I am doing a seperate one for just the baby to have a personal video for when she turns a year.

I just found out there was a fire at our daycare and now I’m freaking out a bit. They are currently closed for repairs and using a facility in a nearby town, they have a temporary building here that they will be using starting June 10th which is his start date. It happened over a weekend so no one was hurt but I’m just feeling nervous now. I guess it could happen anywhere though, right?

pambee, usually at least 45 minutes to an hour but occasionally we get cat naps too. They generally eat (20 min), play for as long as I can get them, then sleep until our next feed. We're pretty set in a schedule with 4oz BM feeds at 7:30 am, 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 4:30 pm during the day. Snack feed of 2.5oz usually during dinner around 6 pm. Then another 4 oz feed before bed (8 pm). They still wake up at midnight or 1 and 4am ish for 4 oz each time. They don't always take a full 4 oz, but they usually do. ETA we usually get one longer nap up to 2 hours or more.

OMG @bex15! Was the fire at the one undergoing repairs? Perhaps something related to construction? If so, glad it sounds like there were no kiddos there.

It was at the one under construction but they are doing the repairs now because of the fire, it wasn’t the cause. I didn’t ask a lot of questions over email about what happened because we’re meeting with the director next week so I figured we would talk about it in person. The news story I found said they didn’t know the cause.

DD had her 2 month check up yesterday. She weighs 11lbs 13oz and is 22.5” long. She got her shots and oral rotavirus vaccine, and she’s been fussy, not eating as well, and more sleepy since. Lots of snuggles for us today!

I’m majorly side eyeing that one guy...oh what’s his name...the guy at the pageant that said he was already starting to fall in love with Hannah. It was the very first group date...yeah...ok. 🙄

I’m at my husbands family cabin because I didn’t want to stay at home with just dd this weekend and be lonely.
She won’t sleep in the pack and play. So I have to co sleep and it’s making me nervous. I’ve gotten like 30 minutes at the most with her. I’m so irritated that we’re even here. I drove separately so we can go home tomorrow if I want but we’re supposed to get severe storms at home and honestly I don’t know if I can handle that with my anxiety.
I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. I also feel lame that I’m letting my anxiety get the best of me.

I hope your bleeding stops soon grover! Sorry your period returned so quickly! I wouldn’t be able to sleep either haleyscott! I agree with trying to transfer her to the PNP after she’s asleep. I had to do that with my DD. I hope you get some sleep soon and that your anxiety calms down ASAP!

Yogurt and orangehibiscus she woke every time. I even brought her swaddle from the snoo to see if that would help I did eventually get a little bit of sleep. Mh said I could get a nap in later. I’m hoping tonight will go better. Thanks guys!

I did get a nap in & she slept most of the night, in bed with me. But it wasn’t as bad as last night. I think we will stay until tomorrow. I don’t know if I’ll be back up with her this summer unless we just come hang for the day.

My ILs are here and MIL already has made 2 comments that made me 🙄
1) about how their dog will be able to clean our floors and his job will be "cut out for him." I'm sorry but I sweep after dinner and our cleaning ladies were just here last weds! I have newborn twins and a 4 yo and think we're doing pretty good.
2) she was "surprised" that the twins still eat every 3 hours during the day. Said in a questioning/negative tone.

How do I know when to move up to the next size nipple for bottles? Are you still BF? I forget. If you are, we just stayed with the earliest flow (0-3 months) until we were done with bottles around 1 year. It kept DD used to less flow. Now that we are almost EP and doing bottles, I'm curious what others say!

So, we went to a Memorial Day BBQ yesterday, and I saw a photo of myself from the side on Facebook. I didn't know the picture was being taken.
My stomach is still so large. I was aghast. I know I had twins via c section 12 weeks ago and need to give myself some grace, but I just can't believe I look like I do. My weight is almost back to pp weight, but my gosh.
So I'm going to commit to the following 3 healthy choices: eat a veg or fruit with every meal and as snack 2x a day (so 5 a day), don't drink as many calories (only water/coffee/maybe an alcoholic drink but only on weekends), and look into some post c section recovery exercises I can do.
I don't fit into any of my pants and I knew that I still had a belly, but I was actually feeling really body-positive lately on all the amazing things my body has done/is doing (twins still getting all breast milk). So I'm bummed.

How do I know when to move up to the next size nipple for bottles? We moved DS from NB size 1 nipples to 1m size 2 nipples because he was getting frustrated with the slow flow and screaming and fussing during feedings. He’d suck and suck and get nothing and was taking in a lot of air.

Eames you absolutely need to give yourself grace, your body has been through a lot and that’s so awesome that you’re still able to do all breast milk for them! I think those are great goals, I go back to work in two weeks 😫 and figure there are no excuses for me not to get very serious about losing weight then.

Eames I am enjoying the bikini body mommy challenges. We have a thread on general discussion and people are at different stages so you could jump in! Her 8.0 challenge just began May 18 but a lot of us are doing 5.0 too. I didn't loose pounds yet but I've lost inches. If you feel something like that would interest you.

So I'm bummed. Give yourself a lot of grace, but also know people are stupid when it comes to flattering angles. I swear to God, when I take pics of H, I’m like bending over backwards to make sure that he looks great, his muscles look good, he’s sucking it in (even though the a-hole has nothing to suck in). He takes a pic of me and I’ve got 7 chins and rolls in places that aren’t rolly and one eye is always like half closed so I look drunk or like I’ve had a stroke or something. Of course we should all try to be healthier and I’m trying the BBM myself, but also take into consideration that other people are shit picture takers.
