I’m losing my mind. I pumped earlier and have no idea where I put the milk, I’ve looked everywhere and am so annoyed.

Hey all. Not to bring down the mood, but I’ve been diagnosed with PPD. I started Zoloft on Saturday but all it’s done so far is increase my anxiety. I’m hoping my mom will be able to come down next week to keep me company.
On the upside MH has been really supportive and DD is an amazing big sister.

I don’t know much about Zoloft but that is what I was going to try for my anxiety hopefully it starts to help soon.

I’m doing better in regards to my hematoma. But, my stitches fell out. And my blood pressure is high so now I’m on meds for that. I’m panicked about my health with those things, so ready to be back to normal. I know I’m impatient.
Something funny, seems many of you have similar age older child. My DD (4) the other night cried “but I can’t go to bed without something squishy” which was stated after I told her to stop touched her brothers head during bedtime stories 😂

Sorry your struggling @ges the medication usually takes a few weeks to start working so it is normal not to feel anything yet and hopefully it will end up being helpful.

I think I need to figure out a way to move the PnP further away from my bed. N wakes up all grunty and I end up just getting up to feed her even though she isn’t crying, just so we can all settle back down and get some sleep.
Other than sleep, we’re doing pretty good here. I just refreshed myself with the moms on call book and will probably start working towards a schedule next week. Weekends are just too crazy and I’d like to actually get out and go to my DD1’s activities with her this weekend.

@ges072115, Zoloft took about a week for me for it to kick in.

Thanks everyone. I’m glad to have this group that’s in the same stage as us, you all get it.
Also I have to share this - my DD is basically a little mommy to DS. If he cries she runs over to him and pats his head and says, it’s okay buddy, big sister is here. Which of course makes me tear up.

Measles are now in my city. I think it’s 4 or 5 cases so far. I am extremely freaked out and not handling this well at all.
I’m waiting for my therapy appointment currently.
I’m also thinking about putting in a call to my pcp about getting started on meds again for anxiety.

I was on celexa for anxiety before I was pregnant with dd and it helped so much. ❤️❤️

I am sure i was vaccinated as a child...not sure if i would need a booster... its kind of crazy to me that measles is making such a return. I had no idea so many people were not vaccinating their kids.

I’m also thinking about putting in a call to my pcp about getting started on meds again for anxiety. They were in my city a year ago, and I actually had a friend who's daughter was exposed and got it. She was okay, and the process that the CDC goes through to make sure it doesn't spread is INTENSE but effective. I say this to try and help ease some of the anxiety, but I understand how scary it still can be. If your bigs haven't gotten the vax yet you should be able to get them in (as long as they're over 1yr) to get it though, which should help too.

I am just really hoping it doesn’t spread more. For now we will just avoid large crowds and hope that helps!

I couldn't remember how old they were, they offered and gave it to E last year at her 3yr appt even though she wasn't due for it until her 5yr, I was glad because I didn't know when she was supposed to get it or that she could get it early (things I should know, I know 😬).

pambee I didn’t know this much about the vaccine or measles until this past week. I’m so glad mh isn’t traveling right now bc one of the places that’s been exposed is our airport and the time the person was there is the day/time he always flew out. My therapist said with my anxiety I am reacting normal for me. Ha. I think I’m going to schedule an appt with my pcp about going back on meds.

We have been preparing for family to visit over the next week. I wanted to just have the first weeks postpartum with just our little family and recover without visitors this time. I am really glad I did it this way. My husband's parents were around just after the births of my first two but it did not go well. My parents are here right now and then my husbands will be coming after. Everything is going well so far I hope it continues when my in laws come. It is also my dd1's first ballet recital this weekend so that should be adorable.
