We had a win last night, DD went to sleep with no issues and we did nothing special. FX that was just a regression and things will go back to normal. She is now eating more than me for breakfast.
We are heading to my friends for a play date this morning. I'm excited to surprise her with my pregnancy belly since I haven't told her yet.

August Blooms maybe she's working through a growth spurt. That would explain the rough sleep and bigger appetite.

DD is at my dad's house this morning. I have an US at the MFM at 11am, then I'll head over there for a visit.

Good morning! H & I have been going through a refinance when we made an addition to our house. When I got home yesterday, we had received a check in the mail for $400 due to a mistake the bank made. I thought it was going to be a bill due, so it was quite a nice surprise.
In baby news, this little one has started moving around much more frequently now. I used to only feel him a few times a day, but now it is much more regular. And, I'm not complaining.

Good day for us over here. I had DS watch a few of the music clips from Moana for fun, and he LOVED the song, "We Know the Way." Like, immediately started dancing and shaking his booty to it. So cute. The kid likes a good beat!
The baby must have also liked the song, because he was squirming around while DS was dancing too. Hahaha...probably just a coincidence, but I'm taking it as a sign that we need a family trip to Hawaii or New Zealand sometime in the future!

I've had two bad nights of the sleep on the heels of being sick. I'm like a zombie. I'm just here to say that every morning I'm super jealous of Taitai because she gets to go to bed.

DD who is 2, hurt her finger at the park this morning by putting it in a sand toy and it got stuck and cut her, but you would have thought she got her finger chopped off the way she acted, lol.. I didn't have any bandaids on me which I think would have helped the situation so we had to leave the park. #ToddlerProblems

Oh, I'm so sorry rebeccabunch . First tri is hard, but adding sickness in there is just so so rough. So we've had this plan to get DS into a big boy room with a big boy bed this summer so that DS2 can have the nursery. We wanted to attempt this transition well in advance of football starting and DH going back to school (also WELL in advance of new baby brother arriving). We purchased a bed, DH got his new room cleared out last week, I got it painted, and I have some curtains in my target cart. New twin sheets have been washed and the new mattress was just delivered. This is getting so real - my baby isn't a baby anymore and I'm going to have another baby soon and I'm just a puddle of emotions at my desk today.

Okay, embarrassing story time.
So, yesterday H and I went to Kroger because our fridge bulb went out and we needed gas for the car and lawn mower. So, I told H to drop me off at the store while he ran over to get fuel, he'd come and pick me up.
Okay. I get my bulb, and head out of the store to sit on the lawn furniture and wait. I see our little red Ford pull up and come to a stop in the middle of the lane right in front of me. I get up, cross the road and open up the passenger door.
I dont recognize the interior of this car. Not my husband. A very, very confused young guy was looking over at me and all I could do was stammer "oh my god, you're not my husband I'm so sorry".
2 minutes later my actual husband pulls up and the "other red Ford" was coming the opposite way. I can only hope that he saw me get into a car that looks exactly like his so he doesn't think I'm a crazy lady.
In the future, I'll just wait for my husband to roll down the window and cat call me, like he does every time he "picks me up".

I haven't been around much lately. We've had gorgeous weather, so been spending lots of time outdoors. Plus getting my house ready for guests this weekend and finishing our kitchen redo. So exhausted today and no excuses for it. I need some if my toddlers energy.

cythe 😂 I would be so embarrassed DH would never let me live that down. rebeccabunch I hope you start feeling better soon. First trimester can be so terrible. CoachTsWife Wow I'm impressed with all you've done so far. I've only got a Pinterest board started with ideas. thatgirlrachel Extra cash that you didn't expect to get is always a nice surprise. Thanks for the toddler advice everyone. I'm so #blessed with her sleeping that when she doesn't it's like OMG what is happening!?!!?! Play date was super fun, the girls played so well together. DD ate all the snacks so for sure she is bulking up for another growth spurt. She's napping and we are having yet another thunderstorm. I'm chilling on the couch watching a British house hunters type show and eating a ton of cookies hoping the thunder doesn't wake her up for at least another 20 minutes.

We bought a new van this weekend and today I took it out on an inaugural field trip to the zoo (we didn't drive it before today really because we were getting insurance and registration sorted out). It is cloudy and looks like it could rain any minute. Oh well, DD and I had a fun morning and are just eating a picnic before heading home anyways

She loves her crib now and I love that she loves it, so we'll cross that bridge someday, but omgggg I could have a PBK field day right now!

August Blooms, we want to get everything done before August 1st. When football starts, DH is super busy we can't handle much extra during the season. (LOL that we're having a baby mid-season.....) Anything that can be done prior to football/school starting, we are doing.

Fair Warning, Long:
After a few quiet days on the baby movement front (for sure two days of no discernible movement but possibly three), I called my OB and she had me go do a NonStress Test (which means we had to go to L&D at the hospital), even though I'm only 24w3d. Nurse wasn't too sure since I was so early but doctor called them directly and said "do it". I had spent all day yesterday doing the stuff they tell you to do when you're farther along and doing kick counts or whatever (cold beverages, a little caffeine, lay on left side yadda yadda). I have a Doppler and have found her heartbeat each time I tried (and I tried a lot this past weekend) but my OB warned me in my last pregnancy to never let the Doppler replace the feeling of movement, especially once I had been feeling it at reliable times and such.
Once there, Baby's heartbeat couldn't be found initiallly. Because I have a Doppler I kinda knew baby usually is super low and sure enough, once I lowered my shorts a bit they were able to find her. Baby was definitely super low so it took some adjusting to get the monitors to register the heartbeat where baby was choosing to chill. After 45 minutes, baby finally started making movements. They monitored me for awhile more (30 minutes?) before unhooking me. My doctor called and had the hospital register me on some "fast track" list for NonStress Tests because due to baby's super low placement and my placenta location, I might be a frequent flyer this pregnancy. She assured me everything is fine and this was just precautionary and not a big deal and all that. It was quite the morning but everything is ok and, while I feel slightly crazy, I'm more relieved baby made some noticeable movements finally.

cythe haaa I would have been so embarrassed. Also, I went to the Kroger Marketplace Sunday and it was so nice! I found the baby gowns, but had DS with me and he didn't let me look as long as I'd like. They also have legit toy aisles! Amazing.

danvers, that sounds so scary. Glad everything was ok and they have a plan to monitor the rest of your pregnancy. I just took a 20 minute nap in my office. Pretty sure I was snoring. Oops.

They're not the softest of things, but I think the gowns will be effective.

I feel the same way way about getting DDs big girl room ready. We're going to transition her after a short vacation this weekend. I totally considered her a toddler (maybe even still my baby) but she's almost completely potty trained and going to sleep in a big girl bed! Has your DS slept in a big bed at all yet? I'm worried about the transition but want to give us plenty of time before October to get DD situated.

This is on our "maybe wish list" and one of the big reasons DH taught summer school so the money would be there possibly if we decide to...
