Good: I ran 25.5 miles this week and went out all of the days I planned to even though it was hard, especially on Thursday. Also, I ran 12 miles today at a 9:49 pace, so I’m on pace for a potential 3+ minute half marathon PR next month!
Bad: too many cookies! We celebrated teacher appreciation this week, and I had zero willpower with the desserts.
Exercise Plans: I’m aiming for 5 runs with Tues and Fri as rest days. Meal plan: Saturday: meatballs, sausage, and veggie noodles Sunday: ground beef stroganoff and mashed cauliflower Monday: chicken fajitas and cauliflower rice Tuesday: bbq meatloaf and mashed cauliflower Wednesday: garlic smothered chicken and green beans Thursday: burgers and sweet potato fries

What went well this week? Workouts were generally good. I am still sore from Thursday so it must have made an impact. Even on my not great eating days, I have been listening to my body and not overeating, which is something I probably couldn't have said a year ago. What didn’t? I have a cold. It developed Thursday and my cardio that day wasn't good, and I totally skipped a workout Friday. Also taking today as a rest day, or I may do some light strength training. My cold has moved from the sore throat phase to the congested phase. I haven't really been in the right frame of mind to be strict with my macros. I am giving myself some grace on it, but I also don't want to lose any progress or be lulled into a false sense of security, since my clothes are still fitting well, know what I mean? I am giving myself until after my cousin's wedding weekend (next weekend) and then trying to get back into it more strictly. I have no problem making healthy meals and sticking to those, but my extraneous snacking has not been great, even if it is generally healthy stuff. What are your plans/goals for this upcoming week? I have OTF scheduled for Sun, Mon, Wed, Thur, and Sat (day of the wedding). The cardio portion of OTF may have to be minimal until I get over this cold. I have my meal plan done and I am about to finish my grocery order to be delivered tomorrow. My plan is to attempt to stick to my macros through Thursday, since Fri-Mon will involve some eating out, and I won't have as much ability to plan. Plus I plan to have drinks, hah. Meal Plan: Sunday- ST Chicken shawarma bowls Mon- Greek pitas Tues- salmon, roasted broccoli, Annie’s shells Wed-Ginger marinated tuna steaks, rice, asparagus www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/ginger-marinated-tuna-steaks-169384Thurs- (something easy with minimal cooking or takeout, leave early next morning) I just purchased the Lillie Eats and Tells cookbook, so I have been browsing that. I can't wait to try some of the recipes! Maybe the following week.

What went well this week? I worked out a lot! I actually only had one day where I didn’t close all of my Apple Watch rings. I did 2 weight lifting workouts, the first week of C25K, and some walking.
What didn’t? Eating wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either. I had 2 days where I didn’t track, and even though I didn’t go crazy or binge, it seems to undo all of my progress. So frustrating.
What are your plans/goals for this upcoming week? Keep working out, keep tracking. Ds1’s birthday is on Wednesday and his party is on Saturday so there will be lots of treats around. I’ll try to avoid them mostly but make a few fit in too.
Sunday- smoked bbq ribs, Mac and cheese, roasted veggies, 3 bean salad Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri- meal prepped chicken tikka masala with roasted veg and cauli rice or shrimp stir fry Wed- Ds1’s birthday dinner, so some of whatever he wants

I made these pancakes this morning, and they were really good! Of course, low carb pancakes are never going to be exactly like the real thing, but I’ve tried several recipes, and this has been the best. I made some with blueberries, and they were really yummy! E gobbled them up. thenovicechefblog.com/low-carb-pancakes/

I had a meh week including not running at all this weekend which I'm crabby about. I'm heading Hs work as soon as I get the girls Tuesday afternoon and we fly out from there at the ass crack of dawn and will be in Iowa until Sunday evening. So I'm basically in don't go too bonkers on vacation and travel mode.
I have every intention of getting my shit together when we get back though. I really feel ready.

I contacted two gyms this week. One was way too expensive for what I would get out of it and the other hasn't gotten back to me yet.
H and I didn't fully meal plan but we did enough that we didn't eat out at all this weekend which is incredibly rare. Of course I will probably get fast food tonight but baby steps!

Honestly, baby steps are the key to a long term plan. That's great!

Guys! I ran 94.6 miles in April! That’s my most miles in a month since May 2016 (just prior to starting IVF). Now to try to maintain it for May.

My mileage the last couple of months has been low and it's making me cranky. I did run a 5k race here in Iowa last night and placed 3rd in my AG and won a medal! So that's fun!
