Tough sleep over here, too. M doesn’t like to nap anywhere besides on top of me, and he wiggles half out of all of his swaddles. I just bought a cosleeper basket thing to go between myself and H in bed to see if that’ll help. I’m so tired 😭 We went through this hell around 3 weeks. It got better. Don't be afraid to tap in your DH. Also I highly recommend the halo sleep sack swaddles.

How old is LO?
- 10 weeks on Monday
How often does LO nap during the day and for how long?
- this varies, what we focus on keeping consistent is the length of his awake periods. For now this is no more than 1.5 hours awake.
How many wakeups are they doing at night?
-2 usually, can be more
Do you feed during every wakeup regardless? - yes but starting to drop the # of Oz offered
Do you have a sleep schedule going yet? If so, what is it?
- our sleep coach says focus on STTN first, then naps, beginning with aiming for first morning nap to be independent in crib. But STTN has to be established first.
Bedtime routine? Do you do the same for naps and night time bedtime? Do you do anything at all?
- bedtime routine: bottle, bath, cream, diaper, jammies, seep sack or swaddle, white noise, blackout blinds, a song, and more bottle if he wants it (this kid is a tank)
- no we don’t do this for day naps but soon we will start our mini version, which is bottle, diaper, sleep sack, white noise, blackout blinds
Do naps and bedtime happen in the same place? (Crib, pnp, being held, etc?)
- so far all night sleep is in a bassinet and naps are occasionally in the bassinet but more often being held/worn/in a car seat picking up sisters etc - we are dropping his night feeds gradually because he is a whopper of a lad and can absolutely stand to go overnight without

My H and I have started sleeping in shifts to manage. 9 until 2 and then 2 until 7. Ish. I feel a lot better. Sometimes "2" is anywhere from 1 until 3, depending on when they wake up. They are usually up at 11-12ish, 2-3ish, and 5-6ish so we switch at the mid wakeup and each do 2. Sometimes I hear them and get up to pump anyway, because I feel engorged and so they have extra milk.
Although they did BOTH sleep for 5 hours last night! From 8:30 to 1:30. Woooo!!!
They are 8 weeks today so I'm going to check out MOC new schedule. We've been very loosely following it. And obviously it was not working very well until yesterday, lol.
I'm glad because the night before we stayed up to watch GoT and 😴😴😴. But it was so good.

I've also noticed they seem to nap/sleep more soundly when I give them lots of time on their playmat to wave their little arms around and kick their legs. Better than when they are held a lot.
Makes sense because DD sleeps better after a day of physical activity!

I feel like I haven't done enough tummy time and whatbot this time since I feel like I'm constant carting him around to all of my DD's activities.

Is it too early to start transitioning DD over to her crib in her nursery? She is 6.5 weeks old.

I say go for it, that's about when we transitioned E because I was going back to work at 8 weeks and wanted her in there by then. We're moving H this weekend (9.5 weeks) but we only waited because I was too lazy to clean out the crib, lol.

Z has been sleeping in the crib for several weeks already. I couldn’t sleep with her grunting noises while she sleeps so she’s been on her own room since maybe 2 weeks old? She’s 5 weeks now. It is a pain because she’s still getting up every 3-4 hours but it is more sleep than what I got when she was in our room.

We’re attempting transitioning to the nursery/crib tonight because he’s about to outgrow the bassinet entirely 😭 he’s huge. If it really sucks to go up we have a second crib we can set up downstairs.

most nights the boys get put down in their room between 8:30 and 9:30. We hit the sack ourselves at 10. They, or at least one of them, will wake up between 1 and 2 am, and then they both wake up around 4-5 am (but then go back to sleep for another hour). I'd love it if we can cut either the first wake up or the 4-5 am one out. At this point, DD was sleeping 9 hours straight. It was glorious. Each boy has now slept from at least 10 pm - 4/5 am, at least twice, but not consistently and never the same night LOL

We are down to just two wake ups. Usually one between 1-3 and one 4-5.

H goes down at 8 and wakes up once between 1-3 and then around 6:30, and sometimes will go back to sleep after that too. Occasionally though he'll throw me for a loop and wake up around 4-5ish too. But there have been a handful of times he's slept straight through to 4-5, too. I'd like more of those nights, lol. I've thought about skipping nursing at one of the wakeups and seeing if he'll go back down easily but I haven't been brave enough yet 😬

I finally found my moms on call book and am working on getting the schedule part down. I am not letting her cry like they recommend, but I do try to soothe and put back down to keep to the recommended times.
She wakes up sometime between 4-6am to eat and just does not go back down peacefully after that feeding. She’ll basically grunt and fight the swaddle every 10 minutes from that point on. Not sure what to do about that. Currently, that is H’s shift so I just send her out of the room to sleep while he holds her, but at some point, I need her to sleep on her own at that time.

I haven’t been worrying about a nap schedule yet (he’s 3.5 weeks) but I am implementing a bedtime. Baby gets his last bottle sometime between 7:45-8:00 and then goes down, usually asleep before 8:30. He’s been waking up between 12-1 and again between 4-5. Sometimes he will then sleep until 8 or so, but sometimes (like today) is back up by 6.
Naps occur whenever he seems tired and vary between the bassinet, car seat/stroller and being held.

I don’t have him on much of a schedule yet but he has gotten somewhat consistent with wake ups on his own. Bedtime is usually between 8-9pm, but can be between 7:30-10pm. He usually wakes between 1-2am (last night he slept till almost 3am and it was amazing) then he usually wakes again between 4-5am and he will go back to sleep until around 7am but I don’t sleep because he is so restless and grunts. We had his one month wellness check today and the doctor prescribed medication for acid reflux so I’m hoping that helps. Have anyone else’s kids been on anything?

Who follows Moms on Call? jacks, Eames? (am I making that up?) I bought the book last night. DS has had his two worst nights of sleep the past 2 nights and I'm wrecked. He is napping in his crib right now fully swaddled after I watched their "how-to-swaddle" video and I feel so accomplished. I think I'm going to start implementing the schedule and the bedtime routine on Monday and see how we do, but wondered how it has worked for others?

@ges072115 Yep, I’m following the moms on call schedule! It is working great for us so far. I follow the schedule pretty closely and like knowing when she’ll be hungry/napping etc. makes it easier for me to schedule things or leave the house solo knowing when I need to be back.
Sleeping is still hit or miss. Some days she naps like an angel for 2 hours and other days she stares at me wondering why we’re just rocking away. I don’t follow their instructions for letting her cry to sleep though. Nights are 50/50. Sometimes she’ll sleep until around 2 and others she wakes earlier, but falls back asleep (I guess) with the pacifier.

@ges072115 , I followed MOC with my daughter and now with the twins. The past TWO nights they both slept through the night!! J went down at 7;30 per schedule, I put L down at 8 because I wanted cuddles after the first day in daycare/work. They both slept until 4:55 the first morning, this morning J slept til 6 and L til 5:30!!!
(I don't follow the part where it says to stay out of the room completely til 7 am. Didn't do that with my daughter either)
Edit: we didn't buy their swaddles. Used halos. DD was combo pumped milk and formula, boys are solely FF. J takes 5-6 ounces, L takes 6 ounces (MOC says 5-7 oz per bottle). We do have the SNOO rentals this go around but gonna try the crib tonight.

I bought MOC but it was hard for me to totally implement. I didn't buy their swaddles and they just don't drink as much at one sitting as they say to give them (I think by 10 weeks it was at least like 5 to 7 oz at a time?) They are still drinking 4 oz of BM per feed and that is around what I produce.
During the day they eat every 3 hours and at night it's usually every 4 hours with maybe one longer stretch. I'm sure that's why they are still waking up, but I can't get them to take in more per sitting, they just spit it up.
Hopefully as they grow and their stomachs mature things will shift. For now we are surviving by taking shifts during the night, but it sucks for me because I usually have to get up to pump anyway!

I have been considering buying MOC too. Let us know how you like it @ges. Sorry sleep is so bad. I’ve been struggling with how little sleep I’ve been getting too.
