Welcome to our third? fourth? forum! The Newbie Blog was originally created for TB by Jefa and Banker. It answers many questions about trying to get pregnant, when to test, how to basal body temp, and so much more. Give it a read!
The Newbie Blog
We also recommend these two places for basal body temping and more info:
1. Taking Charge of Your Fertility (available on Amazon.com)
2. The tutorials on www.fertilityfriend.com. Most women here use FertilityFriend to track their basal body temp/secondary signs to confirm their ovulation day.
Good luck!
** A bit more about this board **
1. Weekly Threads: Each week, a "Waiting to Ovulate" (WTO) and a "Two Week Wait" (2WW) thread are posted. These are posted by anyone who wants to start it, but there is a format to it so check a previous one to be sure the format is correct. Anyone is welcome to post in either thread depending on where in their cycle they are. They are for commiserating about where you are, thoughts, feels, questions, and more. We have a "Waiting to do Something" thread that is posted for those of us who are waiting for their bodies to get with the program. If you have abnormally long cycles or aren't cycling normally, then this is the thread for you! We also have a weekly "IF Check-In Thread" (posted on Mondays) for members undergoing fertility testing. This overlaps a bit with the "Trouble TTC and Infertility IVF" board. There is also a weekly thread for those TTCAL (trying to conceive after a loss). You may also want to check in with our loss boards.
2. Weekly Off-Topic Threads: Tuesdays we have a "Grad Check In" thread, Thursdays we have Unpopular Opinions, and Fridays we have FFFC "Flame Free Friday Confessional". Warning these threads are rarely flame free.
3. Snark is part of culture!
** Random Tools **
1. This is an hCG calculator site that you can use to see how hCG builds up on your blood and when a pregnancy test may be accurate. Obviously this isn't 100% and there's a fair amount of guesswork involved in this, but it's a nice tool to visually see how hCG builds and what days post ovulation have the best change of giving you an accurate test result. whenmybaby.com/implantation-doubling-calculator.php
2. This is another hCG calculator that calculates your doubling time for hCG levels.

3. LED has created a helpful list to help you with your signature (siggy) and some simple coding to add gifs, images, etc.
