sunfrogger I took the girls to the playground we met at the other day today and the entire 9min car ride, N was convinced we were going to see you guys. N: “Mama I hope my friend E is going to be there!!” Me: hunny they live very far away and were just here for a visit. She’s not going to be there today N: maybe we should just go to her house then Me: hunny, they live very far away N: they should just live in that house then *points to a house out the window* ... this continued until we pulled in the parking lot, then once we pulled in she saw a red car and goes “See mama?? I told you she was going to be here. That’s her red car” 😂🤦🏼♀️

I totally keep peeking at our pics because we had such a nice time. 🥰🥰🥰

The baby had a check up today. He is 32” and 23lbs. They said he is 50% for weight and 70” for height. 😬He is a big boy. Lol He got his first MMR shot today and I was very grateful for it considering how bad the measles outbreak is.

J had her checkup today, too. She is 75th percentile for weight and 80th for height! The pediatrician was impressed at how far she has come, at 9 months she was in the 3rd percentile for weight and only 30th or so for height. I hope that gives you mommas of tiny peanuts some hope - they may just have a growth spurt hiding in them somewhere!

Is anyone else's kid having intense separation anxiety? I know it's normal but she clings to me and cries at every daycare dropoff and it breaks my heart 😭

peachesncream, yes. I'm not sure what B's deal is. Maybe she is getting more teeth, maybe it's because I'm pregnant or maybe it's just that age? It's exhausting. Luckily she has been spreading the love and also clinging to DH so it's not always just me.

I forgot that our kids haven't had an MMR vaccine yet. Glad that's coming up soon.
I just heard that my former boss/mentor/co-teacher/advisor is moving back to Arkansas. I'm selfishly glad because it was awkward when I would run into her in town. We had a silent falling out when we stopped co-teaching. She treated me like a GA minion and not a professional. I was so glad to get away from her.

The separation anxiety is REAL over here. It’s so bad I can’t even get dressed or cook without her on my hip ugh. I’m so ready for this phase to pass.

We had our 15month well visit today too! She was a complete bear the entire time. She cried whenever anyone even looked at her in the room 🙄 she’s still hanging in the 92% for height, but dropped to the 64% for weight (she used to be in the 80’s). The dr wasn’t concerned at all, said that it’s totally normal for breastfed babies to lean out around this age when they’re done BFing 🤷🏼♀️ I’m not concerned in the slightest. Kid eats more than the toddler does most days haha. She’s just a tall little string bean!

amesie The same is happening with DS as well. At his 12 month appointment he was just under 25 lbs (he is so chunky lol) and in the high 80s for weight, but I took him to get his ears checked on Monday and he is now 25 lbs 4 oz so only gained a few ounces in the past 2.5 months. They said it was totally normal for growth to slow down at this age!

Hi! I’m here. I have been busy today. It’s my wedding anniversary. I went to ww this morning. Then hung out at home until MH went to work. My stepmom came over for a bit. Now I am waiting for MH to get home from work (it’s actually just a break because he goes back at 8pm) and we are going to dinner. We are bring the children because we don’t have a sitter. 🤷🏻♀️

Congrats sarahh! Happy anniversary marygracerich! Is MMR usually at 15 months or 12 months? I was looking at E's immunization records and I almost swore he got it at 12 months so I was assuming V got hers at 12 too but maybe she will get them at 15. In good news, I did a fair amount of reading on it and I believe most people (93%) are fully protected from one and then getting the second raises that to 98% or something so the second at 4yo is more of a safeguard. I was relieved to see that considering DS hasn't had #2 yet. And yes to clingy LO over here but mostly when she is tired. Day care is really trying to get her on one nap so she is really tired kind of a lot during the week. Poor thing. She did get 2 naps today though. I think she's just still transitioning and sometimes needs 1 and sometimes 2.

easternshoregirl I think it can be either. Looking at J's chart she got MMR at 12 months but she also got 3 shots at this most recent visit (HiB, Prevnar, DTaP). CDC says 12-15 months so maybe doctor's offices just split them up different ways.

Congrats sarahh!! Girl tribes unite. 👊🏻 We had our 15 month well check last week. 18lbs 11oz (15th! That’s big for us!) and 28.75in (5th). Something I wanted to mention in regards to percentiles, I played around with a chart calculator I found online and the difference between 10th and 20th percentile was less than a pound. And their weights can fluctuate based on when they’ve eaten, if they need to poop, all that good stuff. When we were struggling during the first year they always wanted our weight checks at the same time of day, before she nursed, on the same scale. And growth is growth! As long as they are moving forward and meeting milestones try not to stress. Also, my friends daughter is 5 days younger than Arden. They have been the same pint size babies since about 4 months old. They weighed the same at their 15 month appointments but her doctor said her baby was only in the 3rd percentile for weight. Clearly they are using different growth charts. I’m sure that isn’t always the case but it is making a big difference! This is getting long but we discovered Arden is at least somewhat allergic to eggs. We think just eggs that haven’t been baked. She generally refuses anything that would have eggs that haven’t been baked (aside from ‘banana pancakes’), so DH and the pedi are like meh don’t worry about it. But I’m worried about it. Not sure what I’ll do with that worry but it stresses me out. And yes, separation anxiety is killing me. She doesn’t go to daycare. But if anyone comes in the room that isn’t me, or I try to have her flipping father take care of her for a minute she loses her mind. OVER IT.

The difference in what vaccines they got is interesting to me. Ian definitely got his first mmr on Wednesday and he only got one other shot but I can’t think of what it was at the moment. The dr did tell us that it was the first time he was being exposed to live vaccines vs the ones that have inactive versions of the diseases in them. 🤷🏻♀️ All I know is that he had his first mmr and that makes me feel a tiny bit better about the outbreak.

H had his MMR vaccine at 12 months plus two others. His 15 month appointment was this week and had the chicken pox vaccine. It was the only one this time.
Hasn’t gained any weight since a year, still 23 lbs. Went up a bit in height to 32.25”.

I took a 5 mile walk with my neighbors yesterday. I really enjoyed it but my ankles were killing me last night. Maybe should have eased into it.
I bought some organization stuff yesterday to try and get the toys in my living room out of rubbermaid totes.

Hey all i/r/t percentages, for bf babies it's recommended you use the WHO growth chart. The CDC results are skewed bc there is a higher percentage than average of formula fed babies. Which is obviously fine but if your bf babe is dropping and you're worrying check the WHO. When I charted Olivia on it even though her % dropped like crazy on the CDC charts, she's remained pretty solidly in the middle on the WHO charts. Also separation anxiety is really bad here. It's REALLY bad. I'm starting to night wean / sleep train bc I can't take it anymore. 3x a night at 14mo is ridiculous. Also look at our cute first little sprout. 🌱

ajetter I suspect the same for Olivia. She refuses regular scrambled eggs but baked eggs are no problem. French toast, pancakes, etc.

It is nasty and raining here (might turn to that 4 letter S word later, send Ts and Ps) and J (and my other two kids) are literally climbing up the walls. J's new favorite activity is climbing to the top of the couch and flipping off 🤦♀️

Per pedi he is 6%!

sunfrogger We’re finally nightweaning too! E was also up all throughout the night. But in the past few days I think we’ve successfully cut out all night nursing till 5 or 6am. I’m hesitant to give that one up because as it is she’ll nurse and then go back to sleep until 8. I don’t want to start my day at 5 or 6am.
