J has bacterial pink eye - poor guy H had conjunctivitis in both eyes a couple weeks ago and we had to do the ointment 3 times a day. It was awful. You have my sympathies

J has bacterial pink eye - poor guy Noooo! My big girl had bacterial pinkeye last weekend. Antibiotic drops cleared it up so quick though & thankfully it’s not contagious after 24 hrs on the drops!

Ugh...too many beers. My sister's dog died today and he was her everything so I felt so sad for her (I ugly cried for about a hour). My neighbor took me for a hour walk but then I hung out at her house and they kept setting beer in front of me. I haven't drank that much in awhile.

H had pink eye at the beginning of March that landed him in the ER. I was so thankful neither of the boys caught it.

E has a few words, but definitely not 20. Let’s see...MAMA (shouted very frequently these days), Dada, DD1’s name, meow, nurse, ball, that, banana, hi, candle. She doesn’t say no, but she shakes her head no for every question.
Still not walking, but took 3 steps the other day! I’m hoping she starts soon because lately all she wants to do is walk while holding my fingers and throws the most dramatic fit if I don’t want to (because you know, eating dinner or something.)

We seem to be following the anecdotes that earlier Walkers are later talkers here. We booked a cruise for Jan 2020 right after the baby turns 2.

I find them easier to do then other types of vacations. I am taking a trip to Disney in September and I am a little terrified. Lol

Hi everyone! I am back from our girls' trip and it was so fun to get away for a few days. I missed DS but enjoyed relaxing and having too many drinks

How often is everyone brushing their babies' teeth? Any tips on getting a good brushing in? We do try to do it each day but I feel like we are never doing that great of a job of actually cleaning the teeth! He moves around so much and just wants to eat the toothbrush lol.

I’m really bad honestly with brushing his teeth pinkcat. It’s something I’m striving to get better at.

I'd say we are yes on the early walker, later talker pattern. She was walking some at 9 months (really walking closer to 10) but has just a few words: this, dad-deee, ed-en (her verion of her brother's name), her own versions of "thank you" and "all done" that surely no one but us would understand. She has uttered "mama" a couple of times but that could have been an accident. That's all I can think of now. She gets English/Spanish at home and German at day care so I'm not worried if she emerges as a later talker, it is to be expected!
I'm also not doing a great job at keeping up here, but I do tend to read and lurk, just not post much! I ran a half about a week ago, not great but not bad either. I just got through what was probably my busiest work week ever and I'm so glad it was done! We are working on some new stuff that I'm really excited about but I had zero time to do planning/grading so I majorly fell behind.

Oh, my big news! We weaned! It was earlier than I expected and sort of a spur of the moment decision on my part but we were down to once a day at bedtime...I missed bedtime last Thursday due to late night at work so DH put her to bed. Friday night I asked him to do it again and we'd see how it went. I also was about to start my period (it started today) so I figured supply might be low and less chance of clogs, etc. Everything seems to be OK! I put her to bed tonight for the first time since then and she did grab at my shirt once when I was sitting with her in the rocker but was fine with her bunny lovey when I stood up with her.

The baby is getting such a personality. He’s definitely my wild child out of the two boys. He’s into everything and when you tell him no/redirect him he either screams forever or laughs at you.he also loves to shove his hands in his mouth and make himself gag.

I haven’t been around much lately, work has been crazy overwhelming. Any babies (I guess they are now toddlers!) saying many words yet? H is trying with all his might, but not quite there yet. He will occasionally say mama, dada and bye bye. But it’s definitely not consistent. Tons of babbling though. We've got hi, mama, and dada consistently, and then dog and dinosaur but not sure other people besides me would know what he was saying lol. He is working on bubba.

My kiddo is pretty advanced in his vocab and can say about 20 words. I would say 15 are to the point where others could understand it. My oldest was definitely not saying this many words at this age so don't compare your kiddo to this. We've got this, this, cheese, night night, hi etc. He's recently tryig to say Blipi (some of you will know that one) but has not said his brother's name. He has yet to say bye...it's always night night lol He had his 15 mo checkup today and he's in the 97th% for weight and about the 71st for height. My about-to-be-3-year-old: "I know how to spell my name! B-L-I-PP-I!"

I think at this age it's most important just for getting them used to having them brushed so I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Thank you so much. I really am, it was just upsetting for awhile to log on here. We started trying again right away. I'm in my 2nd TWW since the loss. So hopefully I'll have good news to share again in the next few months! Missed y'all!

We do it twice a day but sometimes it only lasts 5 seconds. No real tips because I have no idea if I’m doing it well. But he does seem to like the taste of the toothpaste.

I brush her teeth every night, but whether it’s particularly effective varies. She throws her head back and tries to grab it from me, so I have to hold both of her hands with one hand and brush with the other while she squirms and shakes her head around. So...you know. Then I let her chew on the toothbrush. Speaking of dental hygiene, I asked DD1 what she wanted to do the other day, since we had no plans, and she says, “How about we go to the dentist?” 😂 I guess all their stickers, toys, movies and constant praise worked.
