I’m loving that it’s light out at 6pm, but it’s really killing our bedtime routine😒

I placed a huge ON/GAP order last night and I’m excited for everything to come in! Owen is finally in that sweet spot size wise where he fits both the baby and the toddler sections. 12-18m sizehas really opened a whole bunch of new options!

I finished "spring clean" in DS's room today except for shampooing the carpet. I threw away a bunch of boxes and random crap that kept getting thrown into his closet and organized the rest so that everything is out of reach that's not toddler appropriate. I sorted all his toys and organized them for rotation also. So now all his toys except the ride-on-toy fit on the floor of his closet and his Leaf is out now. Which he's at the in between stage where he can't sit on it, but... Anyway I'm excited about the new system.

I should pry start buying above 18m when I find deals so I don't end up buying everything at once. He has a couple pairs of ON jeans that fit great so I wanna get more of those

I think there's 30% off right now.

L woke up screaming around 10 last night and would not calm down for forever. No fever but we tried to give Tylenol and he took maybe half of it. I have never seen him like that before. Just hysterical and could not calm down and fall back asleep even with me rocking him and all the tricks. I am a little worried because he had WCM for the first time at dinner last night (maybe 1/2 oz mixed with 1/2 oz BM, is not much at all). No vomiting or diarrhea though, which I read can be symptoms of milk allergy/intolerance. He’s had plenty of whole milk yogurt and other dairy products before so idk.

snowmoon im sorry for the late bedtime hopefully things even out soon! it’s crazy how sometimes that hour makes such a huge difference. mine have slept too late the last few mornings. which in theory sounds nice but it has thrown off routine and mace things pretty chaotic getting out the door clementine hopefully it was a one time coincidence? maybe wait a day or two and try again in the morning and see what happens? i always get nervous trying new things at night for that reason.

as for me i think i need an attitude adjustment this morning. dd1 is driving me nuts. bedtime for the last 4 nights has been terrible -almost an hour worth of shenanigans (sips of water, hugs, folding blankets the “right way”) and then when we try to shut it down she proceeds to scream for a good 20-30 minutes. we had such a good routine and i have no idea how to get things back on track. dd2 has been extra clingy since friday and i’m not sure if it’s teeth or what. by the time 730 rolls around my patience is just fried. i am planning imaginary adult only vacations right now. we might actually go somewhere in october though🤞🏼

My ds was horrendous this weekend and we had to tap out and leave them with grandma. He cried about not wanting to go to daycare this morning and I didn't even feel a smidge of guilt.

L had his 1 year old appointment yesterday. He couldn't get his shots because he has another cold and his 4th ear infection, so we will try again in April after our spring break trip to Myrtle Beach. We are getting a referral to the ENT, so he probably will be getting tubes. I am so ready for spring and really hope we can start going more than 1 week between colds, ear infections, croup. It has just been one thing after another for him. Also, his height has dropped from the 90th percentile to the 50th percentile. He has not grown height wise since he was 8 months old. The doctor isn't concerned. The way he has been eating I think a growth spurt might be happening soon.
I also am on team I need a break from parenting. DS1 is in constant motion. I think he has an engine in him and it wears me out. With all of L's sickness he gets terribly fussy and is extremely clingy. He is such a happy boy in those moments/few days when he is not sick or teething. This morning he screamed and refused to eat almost all food. I gave him some tylenol for his ears and sent some Ibuprofen with him for daycare. They haven't called, so I hope that means he is doing well.

I think it’s 30% off your order right now but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before it’s 40% off again! I know Gap is 40% off today and I ordered the *cutest* bunny sweatshirt from there for him!

woodenshoes, I’m pretty sure L has only gained a pound and grown half an inch since he was about 8-9 months old. So I’m in the same boat. But he seems happy and eats like crazy so I’m just assuming a growth spurt will happen eventually! I hate daylight savings right now. I thought it meant L would sleep later - nope he is still up at the same time. He was up at 5:30 today. Like 3 days ago that was 4:30. Do not like.

I’m assuming we’re in the middle of some sort of growth spurt. He’s been eating a ton lately and feels heavier when I pick him up!

I’m sorry woodenshoes. I am also ready for some warmer weather and less sickness. It’s supposed to warm up later today and tomorrow, but of course there’s also a chance of rain. Depending on how we feel this afternoon, I may try to get outside for a short walk. I’m still recovering from some bug that I just cannot shake, but maybe some fresh air will help. L had a fever again this morning after a really rough day yesterday, so we went to the pedi. Another ear infection. I guess that was probably the reason for the MOTN screaming a couple nights ago. He was already scheduled to have tubes placed next Thursday, so I’m hoping those make a big difference for him and his poor ears.

clementine ugh sorry that L has another ear infection. My L screamed most of the day yesterday likely because the antibiotic for his ear infection hadn’t fully kicked in yet. He was back to his happy self today. I really hope the tubes help him. I am pretty sure my L will be getting them soon since we are on ear infection 4. The pediatrician was putting a referral in for us to see an ENT.

I go back to work tomorrow and I'm having a lot of feelings about it. Awww good luck today snowmoon! Hope it’s an easy day for you. We had L’s one year appointment yesterday. Confirmed he doesn’t grow. 😭 he’s only gained 2 lbs and an inch since his 8 month appointment. I’m trying not to compare but DS1 was like 3 inches taller at this point. I do...not think they will be the same height.

The time change has been OK for us. I just wake them up at the new 7am and bedtime has stayed the same. It's so much harder getting them to sleep an extra hour in the fall.
We're in a frenzy of packing to get our house ready to hit the market this weekend. We were planning on getting lots done after bedtime yesterday, but then N threw up three times before bed so I spent the evening cleaning and doing laundry. DS is running a fever but he hasn't thrown up yet... I know it's coming, though. I can't believe the horrible timing.
