@lastnamewitheld I did end up going to the ER a few days later and no DVT, just good old fashioned muscle spasms. I felt silly going, but multiple urgent cares wouldn’t see me and so off I went. But I did feel way less anxious after confirming I was good to go.

Welcome lastnamewithheld. A few of us also hang out on TTGP if you ever make your way over there - that thread is slightly more active.

Update: Day 6 u/s today and things look good. I had my hopes all up and it's not fantastic but it's better than last time. Currently:
estrogen 1,485
right 16.7, 14.5, 13.9, 13.7, 13.1, 9.4, 9.3, 9.2
left 15.5, 11.2, 10, 9.1, 8.9
On this day last time my estrogen was only 334! and all follies were all below 12 I think. My day 8 estrogen last time was only 619 and follies were still smaller then they are today so that's all good.
Last IVF we saw 12-13 follicles but there were a lot of stragglers and ended up with 7 mature. I'm reeeaaaally crossing my fingers for more mature eggs this time. FX FX FX FX!!!

charliefox that all looks great!! Keeping my fingers crossed things keep progressing well! AFM, FET is in the morning and I’m a little bit of a stressball. Going to take a nice bubble bath tonight with a cupcake and a (small) farewell (hopefully for 9 months) glass of wine. Oh, and end the night with a PIO shot in the a$s. I went for a run this morning and I swear my injection sites hurt from the impact.

Are signatures okay here? Or should I disable it?
AFM: Period watch is still on. It's CD29, so it'll probably come over the weekend (eyeroll) I'm only worried bc I vaguely remember my RE saying meds would start CD2, but IDK. That was like November when I last spoke directly to him. AHHH. I just want to get started!!!!

I’m here cheering you guys on. I’m miserable though. I’m not sure what to do. We might do one more IUI with donor sperm. We tried it 6 times before IVF and it didn’t work but it’s kinda the only thing we can afford to try right now. We looked into donor embryos and I was shocked at the price. We also found a cheaper clinic but they won’t take us because of my BMI. They cherry pick their clients. I hate that money has to play such a big role in our decision. Ugh.

champagne, they DO have weekend hours, but I have to drive to the main building an hour away for it. (which, in the grand scheme of things isn't too much of a biggie--just another inconvenience ) and UGH to your whole situation. It sucks that everything is so GD expensive. So frustrating. I feel like I've read somewhere that IUI success rates go down the more you try--IDK if that's exclusive to using the same two sets of sperm/egg for all tries (would your donor be the same from your previous tries?) but I mean, it's not ZERO... VS banking the $$ for IUI+meds for a DE cycle. Everything is so cost-prohibitive and there's really no *right* answer. anyway, I'm sorry to ramble. This is all just so frustrating. I wish at the end of the day, after spending all these financial and emotional resources, that there was a guarantee of a healthy baby at the end of it.

charliefox ,Those are solid numbers! How much longer are you stimming? FX for those follicles to continue doing their thing!! No clue how long I'm stimming, they plan meds for 10 days but tomorrow I start daily ultrasounds to keep an eye on things. We'll see! Last time I stimmed 11 days but I was slow to respond, this time things seem to be much more "normal", however I'm done taking clomid and started cetrotide so growth might slow down.

I’m glad they have weekend hours but sorry about the hour drive. That sucks. We will pick a new donor if we proceed. I haven’t heard about the likelihood of success goes down with the same donor. I’m going to have to look into that.

Hope transfer went well @share bear!
Today is CD1 so time to call the clinic. I'm just feeling really down about this cycle and don't have high hopes.
TW......
MC was in January, D&C was late January. This is my second period since and it's extremely heavy, last one was so awful I thought I would bleed to death. I know they're ready to get this show on the road and know if they are moving onto adoption or having a baby, but it feels like my body is telling me to wait (if that makes sense). Such heavy periods are not the norm for me and it almost feels like we're setting ourselves up for failure by trying while it's still so out of the ordinary. Ugh. I don't know. This has been such a long process and I know they're anxious, but I'm feeling like it's best to wait one more month to let things regulate a bit more even though the clinic says it's fine to do now.

Day 8 of stims, I have a bunch of follies in the low 20's and high teens but there are some stragglers around 11 & 12. They're having me stim one more day. So for now, retrieval will be Monday. I am so bloated and uncomfortable, it was not like this last time. These follies are bigger and there are more of them, ooof.

charliefox I hope your procedure goes well on Monday! I can’t believe your already there. If I remember right you are doing a freeze all and PGS testing? wineandcake Waiting is hard when your on the other side. Have you told them how you’re feeling? I would probably rather wait but that’s just me.

wineandcake I’m sorry you’re going through this. Hopefully you can find a way to talk to them about this. Maybe also to someone at the clinic can help support you in the conversation? Hugs, lady charliefox you’re so close!!! I’m sorry you’re so uncomfortable. The home stretch week is so tough. Hang in there, and vent away here.

champagne, yup - freeze all and pgs. Good memory! So retrieval is all set for Monday morning and I am so happy to not have to set my alarm to wake up and do injections tomorrow! Also, I had withdrawn my want for the ERA test because our RE explained that while it's gained a ton or popularity it's actually only based on a study of EIGHT people. However, it's really the only diagnostic we have left to do and H really wants to do it so I'm hoping we can jump into that cycle and do it before a May FET (which is as early as we could do a FET due to MH's military schedule). Always something going on. IF is so time consuming!

Good luck today, charliefox!!! I hope your discomfort means that you'll get tons of great eggs! (and your discomfort is relieved SOON!!) big hugs, wineandcake, the waiting game is so shitty, but YOU'RE in control here. If waiting another cycle might help you, then I say GO FOR IT! AFM, So CD1 *was* Friday, so I reached out to the coordinator like I was supposed to--apparently I *am* taking lupron BEFORE NEXT CD1, which I assumed, but the nurse I spoke to for orientation said that I *wouldn't* be. I swear, I hope this new clinic can get their shit together and this is just growing pains with the merging of my old place and the new place, because it seems like no one really has the same story. If I were starting out and didn't have frozen embryos (ie: had never given myself all the shots, and had to do the stimming/monitoring etc) already I think I would have popped a spring and quit already. Thankfully, I had to do lupron last time, so I remembered that I had to start that prior to the fresh cycle so I wasn't entirely shocked. But it's just like, ugh. Come on. Now we wait some more! I'm anticipating getting some more details from the coordinator today, so that'll be nice to have a physical plan written out in front of me.

charliefox I hope today went smoothly! @lastnamewitheld that sounds really frustrating. I’m glad you were able to figure it out, no thanks to confused staff. AFM: I am over PIO and estrace. The side effects are not my friend. Also, somehow, I am no bleeding a ton from the injections. I always pull back first to check for blood before injecting, and still end up scrambling to apply pressure. I’m also too paranoid to apply heat after, even though I know a heating pad to my butt cheek won’t raise my core temperature enough to make a difference. TL;DR I’m a mess. Is it next Monday (beta day) yet?

Thanks all! Egg retrieval is done. Got 9 eggs.
I was really hoping for 10, and we would have gotten 11 but the biggest two were empty. RE guesses that they were too big and the eggs degenerated. It was either we push for the smaller ones to catch up or we did the retrieval early enough to get the big ones. There was really no way around it. Still 9 is more than 7 last time.
I’ll update with the fertilization report tomorrow, we’re doing ICSI since only 4 out of 7 fertilized last time.
Oh, and RE did a saline ultrasound and found a polyp so I’m having a hysteroscopy next, then we’re doing the ERA, and finally hopefully transferring in June.

Fertilization report: Out of 9 eggs only 7 were mature, they were able to fertilize 6 of those via ICSI.
Will get the day 3 report on Thursday.
I am super frustrated. This round of IVF was sooooo much harder than last time but we still ended up with the same number of mature eggs. Grrrr.

Embryo Day 3 Update: 5 out of 6 are right where they need to be (8-10 cells) and the last one is 4 cells but still growing so not a lost cause yet.
Now we get to stress out until our day 5 update on Saturday. FX!

So today is 10-11dp5dt and BFN. Stark white, not even a tiny squinter. Beta is tomorrow morning, but I’m just calling it. That’s essentially the equivalent of a bfn at 15-16 dpo, right?
