Happy March!
This place is super dead and I feel like people doing IUI or other IF treatments don't have a place to put their thoughts so I added that to our thread (which has historically been only IVF & FET). If this super offends anyone and they don't want to share threads then please speak up.
Anyway, how is everyone doing?

Just suffering on BCP over here. Makes me feel worse than stim meds. Blah.
Need to figure out meds and order tomorrow. Last BCP is Monday. Baseline is next Thurs. Can't wait to finally get going.

I’m here! My next labs and lining check is Friday, then I’m hoping for transfer next Wednesday. It is a very specific day, I know. Next week sucks at work. I have meetings every hour literally from 9-5 Tuesday through Thursday. And my clinic only does transfers those days. But I was able to clear my calendar from 9-noon on Wednesday. So here’s hoping Wednesday is our day.
I’m also psyching myself into thinking I have a DVT in my calf from all the Estrace in the past two weeks and from having to increase my dose. Two of my siblings had multiple dvts in their teens and 20s due solely to bad luck and I’m super paranoid that I will be next. Is it weird to ask the IVF nurse if they can ultrasound my calf along with my uterus on Friday? Just for peace of mind?

Is it weird to ask the IVF nurse if they can ultrasound my calf along with my uterus on Friday? Just for peace of mind? Not sure if they would be necessarily qualified to u/s for a DVT but I would definitely mention it. If I've learned anything in all this IF stuff what I've learned is to always mention things. As for the transfer, is this a FET? Have they given you a maybe date? My clinic always gives a date and only moves it if your lining needs more time, their embryo lab can only do 4 unfreezes/day so it has to be planned out. If you have a lining check on Friday would you start PIO that day? A quick count means that for a Wednesday transfer you'd need to start PIO Friday, no? GL!!!

charliefox yup this is a frozen transfer. It was originally roughly estimated that the transfer would be this week, but my lining was thinner than anticipated and my hormones were a little wonky at last week’s check. RE felt confident with a higher estrace dose this week and a little more time, that all will look good on Friday and I will be able to start the 5-6 days of PIO (and potentially crinone) before transfer.

**Grad lurking** sharebear If you think you might have a DVT, you do NOT need to wait until Friday to mention it. You should go into the ER tonight or call first thing tomorrow morning. DVTs can travel places, and they need to be diagnosed and treated urgently. I hope you don’t have a DVT!

charliefox thanks for starting. I’m glad you are close to stopping the birth control and close to stims. Are they changing your meds this time or will that stay the same? sharebear I’m sorry you think you might have dvt. I hope you don’t! I hope your FET timing works out for you. Every clinic is so different. It’s hard to plan work around a bunch of maybes. As for me, betas are Monday. I’ll probably take a HPT Sunday but I might be too scared. I’m a big mess of emotions over here.

Hi! I'm here and lurking, not much to report really. I'm on track for an early April FET at this point. I've been focusing on getting healthy since m/c in January. So far I've lost almost 15lbs and am now back into the 'normal' weight category. Feeling good in general and I think I'm ready to give this one last try.
Good luck to everyone else!

champagne, we're adding clomid this time and I'm starting on a higher dose of gonal-f. Last time we had to up my does a bunch throughout stims, this time we're hoping if we hit it hard from the beginning it will help me produce more mature eggs. That plus ICSI is the plan so we have as many as possible for PGS. I hope the next few days fly by and that Monday brings good news for you! wineandcake, congrats on the weight loss - that's a big accomplishment. I'm glad you're feeling good going into the next FET.

Ack, went in for a lining check and nothing has changed in a week, even on a higher dose of estrace. Very frustrating. So I’ll go back on Wednesday to see if anything has changed at that point, and see what the RE thinks. Ugh ugh ugh

Ugh so frustrating sharebear! I hope that your lining increases and you don’t have to cancel this cycle. Are you taking the estrace orally or vaginal? Mine always switches it to vaginal when I’ve had lining issues.

Mine always switches it to vaginal when I’ve had lining issues. Right now just oral. I’m also on high dose prednisone right now for an asthma flare and I’m wondering if that is messing things up. I’m done with prednisone by the time of the next lining check, so maybe that will help too? I’ll be interested to see if vag estrace is mentioned next. I went to a Resolve support group a while ago and someone also mentioned injecting some sort of estrogen? So many routes of administration!

Trigger warning Betas mentioned
I took a HPT on Sunday and it was positive. I went in this morning for betas and it came back at a whopping 19. I’m so worried. This beta is already starting off lower than my last round which ended in a loss. I go back Wednesday for repeat. I know I should just be happy but I’m so scared.

champagne thinking of you today <3 AFM - lining still hasn't changed, after 3+ weeks of Estrace. Talked over options with the RE and we are going to try an FET next week. I'm feeling like if we just keep waiting and waiting, it may never get to be "perfect." But sometimes "good enough" is okay too? So Thursday is officially transfer day!

sharebear , may I ask how thick your lining is? So exciting to finally get a transfer date! 6.89 :/ ETA: RE was looking for 8+. I'm also currently tapering some meds for an asthma flare, which he thinks may be impacting things.

Beat came back at 8. They said to stop taking the medications. I’m devastated. I don’t know what to do. This was our final chance. We can’t afford another round of IVF. I feel so lost. There’s always been a next step and now I don’t know what to do. I’m broken.

Baseline was this morning - clear to start meds tomorrow! I’m dreading Clomid but the injections are just old news lol.
Also, something weird is going on and my RE has no explanation for it:
Aug 2016 - AMH 1.7 (normal), AFC 15 (normal) Aug 2018 - AMH 0.6 (low), AFC 12 (low-normal) Mar 2019 - AMH 2.1 (normal), AFC 23 (normal-high)
😮 My RE says that AMH fluctuations like that are rare but they do occur, she said that she suspects my AMH to actually be somewhere between 0.6 and 1.7 based on my reaction to stim meds for IVF #1 (7 mature). However, my AFC of 23 for today is crazy! WTF is going on here?! I am so trying not to get my hopes up but now even more anxious/excited for my first monitoring ultrasound next week!

champagne , I'm so sorry charliefox , That's so interesting that your numbers fluctuated back up like that! Hopefully you respond well to the meds! sharebear , did you get your calf checked out? DVT's are scary. wineandcake , congrats on the weight loss! Sometimes getting started is the hardest part. I hope you continue having good feelings for your transfer!

Hi guys! I'm a lurker--I tried to come out of lurkdom on TTGP a couple months ago, but it's like ... why bother? Going through the motions of getting pregnant doesn't work, so why bother putting myself through that!
CW/TW LC Mentioned:
My H and I did IVF and a fresh 3 day transfer in 2016, which brought us our son, who is amazing and wonderful and my heart could just burst, I love him so much. We have 3 embryos on ice. I called the RE back in October to start a FET cycle, but apparently my old clinic was being acquired by a larger clinic in the new year, soooo we waited. and waited. and waited some more.
On Valentine's day I got a message from the new IVF coordinator with all the consents and blah blah blah's that I needed to fill out and sign and have notarized, and now I finally have an orientation today!
I'm excited to finally get the show on the road. And happy to have a place to talk about this--the IF board at the old place was a life/sanity-saver 3 years ago.
