HBO just released another teaser.. IS THAT JONS SWORD?!?! Maybe I can’t handle this next season. YES! And I'm pretty sure that's Jaime's hand too. At first I was like ew a hand but then I was like OH SHIT. |

No, some people will escape through the crypts in the tunnels. You and SO can talk me through this. I showed him the trailer and he was like, well of course Winterfell is going to fall first. It’s like the first episode. Then they’ll go south and mount up for the big final battle to come back. |

We already know there will be a big ass battle at Winterfell. We know this. It will be the longest battle ever on TV.
We will lose a lot of people. Prepare yourselves for some favorites to die. Everyone can't make it. We know this logically.
However there are people that are not fighters and they will flee or escape and I feel it will be through the crypts like Arya trailer of her running. She was dirty so she had been fighting. She had a weapon in hand. She looked scared to death but why? I am thinking she is being chased by wights but the fear might be that they are wights she recognizes like people who have been turned. (just a theory)
the crypts have been hinted to and alluded to and now the trailer is them in the crypt so the crypt has to play a major role during this battle
they have also told us there are tunnels so they can escape. A maester told Theon this, the red woman mentions to Jon no one knows Winterfell better than you (of the fighters remaining)
I feel we will lose peripheral people at Winterfell is my conclusion and then people will flee south to King's Landing next

I’m on board with your theory McBenny. Especially about Arya. Who is on your suspected death list for the battle of Winterfell? I’m thinking Brienne, Pod and maybe Davos. We just re-watched the first two episodes of season 7 last night and I can’t remember who is where at the end of the season |

Binge Mode talks about the crypts a lot. They think there's some type of magic down there.. why is Winterfell called Winter-fell. Could it be something there that stopped the last long night? And why does a Stark always have to be there? It was all super interesting and I hope they actually go that route. When my H watched the teaser, he said he thinks it was all just a Bran vision and maybe he'll figure out how to stop it. I hope there's more to it than just Bran and it involves something cool in the crypts too.
Also I'm curious what the feather means. Obviously it's something about Lyanna but it's been in almost every teaser now. Maybe it's just because she's Jon's mom? I dunno.

McBenny will keep us from hysterics. I believe family members will rise from the crypts. I think Jon and Dany will survive, and either Arya or Sansa, not both. Everyone else major is a goner, including Tyrion. Spoiler?? I read that Emilia had to take a 3 hour walk to process her fate, so that didn't bode well. Maybe she turns?

I fear we will lose either Brienne or Bron. In the trailer there is a clip of Jamie screaming and it sounds like he says Bron or Jon but he is watching Brienne fight from far away.
If you pause it, it's Brienne so I don't know.
I think Jamie will make it to King's Landing but I am not sure.

Lyanna's feather.
Bran's wheelchair.
Jaime's golden hand.
Dany's chain.
Longclaw.
If I had to guess though, I'd say it suggests things left behind in order to survive and folks escaping via the Winterfell crypts (and secret passages). Or perhaps Bran's vision of the future before the battle.
Or, you know, TPTB just screwing with us as usual and laughing as they read our various theories on what it all means.

I think Gray Worm dies at Winterfell
I feel the feather falling when Jon walks by is him finding out his true parentage.
We know Winterfell catches fire.
Teaser things I noted
Varys, Tyrion, and Davos looking up shocked - we know they have seen dragons, so maybe they are shocked at who is riding the dragon
There is a scene with Sansa sitting on one side and Dany sitting at the other side and tyrion's image could be blocking someone in the middle - Jon?
