Hi ladies! Baby HRH finally arrived yesterday morning! A nice 8 lbs 8 oz, not bad for a gestational diabetic a week overdue, and 22.5". She is perfect. 😍
Story: Membrane stripping seemed to work for once! (You were right notagoddess!😘) I was only 1 cm and nothing else at my appointment, but things started late evening as I went to bed (no sleep, ugh) and quickly picked up. We called a friend over at 2 for the boys and left, contractions had moved quickly to four minutes apart. Got to hospital and was at a 4, didn't get antibiotics started as soon as intended so we didn't finish and she now need monitoring for GBS+ but it seems fine. Labor was labor, I was exhausted because overnight but did the tub, etc. and she progressed faster than the boys which ended up being good as I was really wearing out quickly. I went from an 8 to pushing insanely fast; it surprised us all, suddenly I was pushing and there was no stopping it so it was under two minutes, her head crowned before the doctor finished putting his gloves on, but aside from bruising she's perfect! ❤️ Meconium of course but not as bad as DS2 and instead of wrapping the cord around her neck, she decided to put a true knot in it at some point so I'm grateful that didn't cause complications. Second degree tear.
I started having hemmhorrage issues again unfortunately, along with preeclampsia level blood pressures which was weird for me. So they gave me a million drugs for both; doctor did one small manual extraction, but he knew how scared I was of that again so only did it once which was awful enough. The next step was knocking me out for a D&C, but he decided to just monitor me and thankfully it *seems* to be improving. Blood pressures regulated by this morning too so good news on all fronts there!
Boys met their sister yesterday afternoon, they were so happy and excited! I am just so relieved to be safely delivered! She is a barracuda eating, my nips are struggling. I'll join you all in the MOTN thread soon. 😉❤️
