I’m currently dying of night sweats. Post partum is super glamorous! Even after the baby finishes his bottle I think I’ll be up sweating. I’d better be shedding pounds lol.
Totally know I’ll just be talking to myself in here at first but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’m just a sweaty loner!

Omg, I am also a sweaty mess. I'm pumping, my boobs are like rocks. I forgot how much pumping stinks.
I'm especially not looking forward to; baby cries, get up to fix bottle, give bottle, get baby settled, THEN pump. I know it's my choice while we are working on him learning to nurse, but woof. It took my daughter to just about her due date to be strong enough to have the stamina to breastfeed.

Oh and speaking of shedding pounds...somehow I am!
With this pregnancy I gained 26lbs or so and I have already lost all but 7lbs! With my daughter the weight was impossible to lose and I mostly just didn't lose it. I literally just lost her friggin birthweight and everything else stuck. So I am excited that I maybe only have like 15 more lbs to get to a weight I'd be really happy with. (25 more lbs would be better, but 15 would be just fine.)

I wish I had seen this thread last night! I had the worst pregsomnia and all I could think about is tomorrow. The nerves, I have them. We have to be at the hospital at like 4 am so it was my last night to try to get some good rest. But my mind was racing!
Re: night sweats, when the cleaning ladies made our bed on Thurs they couldn't find our spare mattress cover so I informed H we needed to change the sheets and get one back on today so we're prepared. When we come home from the hospital I know I will get soooo sweaty at night if it's anything like last time (plus leak milk). It was so gross and I'd wake up shivering.
How are your little guys sleeping?

Yogurt been there, PUMPING SUCKS*. No matter how much you want the end result, it’s rough! You’re a champ. I hope it pays off how you wish it to! Engorgement also sucks, I hope you get relief soon * the kind where you are feeding your baby too with every session, the kind where you’re at work or wherever is fine!

Eames I can’t imagine the nerves! I’m soooo excited for you! I bet twin night sweats are something else considering you have twice the hormones in your body a singleton pregnancy has 😵 t&p for that!

Baby boy sleeps like a champ during the day, but only does 2 hour stretches at night. I need to start limiting his day stretches to 2 hours and then waking him up to eat/interact but it’s hard when they’re such sleepy nuggets and they just don’t wanna! But I’d really like to get his days/nights reversed and my sleep lady says this will help.

Well, my guy is still in the NICU, so it's hard to say how he really will be sleep wise. He is described as a "chill baby" by the nurses. I think they may have a skewed perspective because his neighboring baby is sadly having many issues and Leroy is just hanging out.
He is up every 3-4 hours to eat. Please Leroy do this at home so I can sleep!

Tlex, snuggly newborns are the best. I snuggled DD during my entire maternity leave which was awesome. She started doing 4-5 hour stretches at night around 3-4 weeks I think. That entire first month is such a blur, haha. I was trying to remember certain things and it's hard! We were gifted 2 baby books so I got out DD's to look through. There were so many cute/funny things that I forgot on the haze. I hope I can keep up with these 2 books but I already feel bad because I know it will be a lot harder with lack of time.

I have to take my BP meds every 8 hours and lol to being on top of that so I have alarms set and they go off and I still have no clue what the alarm is for until I ask MH. So yeah. Good luck 😂

Not really that I've noticed, but I also didn't notice when my BP was through the roof so apparently I don't pay a lot of attention to myself, lol. My BP is pretty consistently around 140/90 still though, was yours still elevated while you took the meds? I guess it would be worse without it but I don't remember how long she said it would probably be before it went back to normal.

My mom is all stressed out about it still being high and I'm just like idk the doctor didn't seem too worried, I figure she knows what she's doing 🤷 We're very opposite, lol.

FWIW my BP is hovering around there (140/90) without meds this time and multiple docs are ok with that, we’re just watching it and if it doesn’t trend down soon then I will be put on a med. I don’t like seeing those numbers either but I guess post partum hypertension is fairly common

Oy! I just changed his diaper and put jammies on and then he spit up all over the changing pad. Cleaned that up, laid him on our bed to put his swaddle on, he spit up all over the bed. Laid him in the cradle to change the bed sheets, and he spit up all over the cradle sheet that MH had just changed 🤦 that's enough man!

I'm up because I was dumb and had a bowl of cereal before bed. I was hungry. I'm so done with this heartburn.

This also reminded me that I need a little nightlight or something for our room. I had a disk that sat on my bedside last time and I just pushed the button. The light was bright enough to see without being so overwhelming for DH who needed to sleep.

I was changing him and he peed on everything, so I picked him up bottomless to clean up the area and he spray shit all over me, the changing table and the carpet. 🤣
