First wake up tonight was at 8:45 and was 30 minutes of on and off screaming and I couldn't do anything to calm DD down so this is not looking promising for tonight. I think she has two teeth ready to pop through. Bonus we have the 6 month check up and vaccines tomorrow so yay 😕

DD is sick and my throat is on fire. She came into my bed around 12 and was coughing, sniffling and tossing and turning all night long right up on me and then DS was on the other side of me and needed a boob in his mouth all night long too. Suffice to say, I did not get sleep last night. 😣 Also pretty bummed we had to cancel plans to go to the gardens today with all of our friends. It will be sunny and almost 70 here. 😭

Got my first PP period over the weekend. Ugh. At least I got it at 20 weeks instead of 12 weeks with my first.

Last time was 3 months for me too. I keep thinking I feel cramps or slight spotting but I'm not sure if that's my PP period or just from the IUD. T&P's for your uterus!

pixiepink24 I get cramps and spotting about once a month. I have the marina, my OB said that it was my period. However when I had my iud after M I had nothing. I would just break out once a month. My OB said it would lessen over time.

akwildI have the paragard and I've never had an IUD before so I'm not sure how it will all adjust with my body. 🤷♀️I've heard my period can be worse than it was.

I got an IUD at my six week pp visit because we are DONE having kids. I would only have like one period a year before having kids so it'll be interesting to see what happens with the iud. My OB said I will most likely not have periods since I don't have them without birth control, but it could balance my hormones enough to where I start having them. I would love to continue not having periods, especially since we won't be trying for any more kids.

Today is the first day both girls have gone to daycare and I have the day off. I have big plans..... right now I’m waiting for the social security office to open because I miss placed my card 9 YEARS ago..... but our state is switching to the real id thing so when i need my card again when I need to renew my drivers license. Then I hope to buy some donuts and go to school (on my day off) because I hope to finally catch up.

I had to get an enhanced driver's license a few years ago because our state was supposed to require it. Then the date it was required got pushed back like 3 years 🤔 it was crazy all the questions they asked me (I had to go into a room and verbally answer questions) about my parents, where they were born, etc.

Pretty sure all I did extra was show my passport.

I’ve never in my 35 years had a passport. This is also on my list of things to do this summer. To get passports for me and the girls.

Guys! I took both kids to the zoo all by myself today and we all survived! 🤪
A friend invited us yesterday and I had told DS about it yesterday evening. I woke up this morning to a message from my friend that her son spiked a fever overnight so they couldn't go, while at the same time DS was in his room saying "Go see animals!"... So we had to go!
It was mid-high 40s, sunny and beautiful!
(DD even saved her blowout for at least somewhat decent timing at the end of the visit.... 🤣)

Speaking of DD's blowouts. I've been forgetting to mention that sometimes these days she'll go while laying on her tummy after she wakes up from a nap. And IT STAYS IN THE DIAPER!!! 🎉
Funny thing to use that celebration emoji for, but I'm so, so happy when it happens that way! Hahaha!
We'll start solids soon. One day I'll look back and will randomly remember all of her public blowouts, which I will have forgotten about, and I'm sure I'll laugh! I've gotten so good at cleaning up a blowout with little to no additional mess!

My three year old DD asked to go to sleep in our bed last night (actually MH's bed at this point because I sleep in a bed in the baby's room) and she actually slept through the night there and didn't come crawling into bed with me at 3am like usual!

tbirdlove good job at the zoo! I'm not brave enough to take the girls out on an outing like that yet (we don't have any zoos or children's museums or anything around us anyways though). Between the 4 shots yesterday, teething, and a cold poor DD is a snotty, slobbery, crying mess today 😟 she has been freaking out when I try to lay her down in my lap to feed so it's been a little rough today. ETA: DD also has some major welts from the shots. One leg has a welt the diameter of a golf ball. She won't roll over at all because I'm sure it hurts pretty bad. Poor girl 😟

DS can finally roll himself back over! Hallelujah. He still gets frustrated sometimes, but it's not nearly as often.
In other news, he was restless last night at like 4am, I think maybe tummy troubles? Usually he'll nurse lying down and fall asleep next to me and I can transfer him into the crib. He squirmed and squirmed and refused the boob and I finally got him to nurse upright and could put him in the RnP to sleep.

I get a little behind in here and then I have trouble catching up! brenna I'm sorry your DD is having such a tough time. Poor girl 😔 Hang in there momma. I hope smoother times are coming for you soon. pixiepink24 I'm sorry you and DD weren't feeling well and had to cancel your plans on a beautiful day. I hope you're feeling better? Dramaphile sorry for the return of your period. But yay for rolling! I had some random spotting one day when DD was maybe around 3 months? I thought it was my first period, but nothing more ever came of it. I didn't get my first period after DS until 8 months. akwild I hope you had a good productive day yesterday! I'm not due to renew my enhanced ID for a couple years yet, but our financial advisor recommended that I go ahead and renew early to the 'Real ID' - is that actually what it's called? The one that has a little star on it? I still don't even understand the whole thing.... I don't want to jinx myself, but I think we're starting to come out of our recent lousy sleep phase. Oh, and speaking of rolling. DD rolls to her tummy like it ain't no thang for sleep, but still has never chosen to do so during daytime play!

brenna - Aww poor thing. I hope your DD is doing better today! she was inconsolable from about 10-11 last night but then slept all the way until 7. I felt so bad for her when she was just screaming and crying but anything I tried didn't help. She's still sleeping great during the day though so who knows what's up with nights.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I thought I'd share. I ordered this maxi dress from Amazon to try for spring/summer and the neckline is stretchy enough that I can get my boob out the top of it! So, a nursing friendly, affordable maxi if anyone is interested! (A couple cons - it doesn't really disguise my baby pooch cause there's nothing to hold it in, and the pockets [yay pockets!] are positioned right at the outer thighs so they add a little bulk to area. Neither of these are the fault of the dress!) Although, last night she really kicked up her vocalizations - she learned how to yell or something. It was awful. She's been doing it today too. She'll be playing on the floor, but seems pissed off and is yelling at the toys 🤔 She's such a crab! 🦀

Solidarity, DS's sleep was crap last night, too. He's getting a cold, which DD and MH already have and I've somehow avoided so far. Congested baby = up and down every couple of hours all night. Even the rock n play didn't help that much.

We usually give her a few minutes to see if she'll settle herself, but the last few nights she's been getting SO worked up.
