We are going out to run errands today and dd1 is wearing a red and black polka dot dress, blue and pink pants with horses on them and her shoes are on the wrong feet. I am not battling this today (or really any day) but I'm feeling very ugh about always being the mom of the mismatched toddler.

My BFF let her daughter pick out her own clothes pretty much from the time she started being interested in choosing herself. She was always wearing something crazy! She loved it!!

I'm feeling very ugh about always being the mom of the mismatched toddler. Haha! Im that mom. This is definitely my child. She hasn't let me pick out her clothes in about a year and a half. Everyday is mismatched. My little Punky Brewster! Yesterday she wore some orange circus design dress with a purple long sleeve shirt underneath that had pink ribbons all across it and then wore cat leggings that were teal. I love it! She gets compliments on her outfits everywhere we go and it just brightens her up every time.

I'm adding a drawstring to a pair of DS's pants and hand sewing around the holes I cut. I've never tried it before. I think it looks pretty ok!

She's so strong willed that if I pick her clothes she will immediately take them off, even if I pick her favorite shirt. I really don't care what people think but sometimes I just do a little *face palm* and then move on. ETA: I'm glad you said that because all of my friends and my sister always have their kids all matched and I feel like I'm the only one who gives no cares about what my kid wears as long as it is weather appropriate.

DD just started to pivot on her belly! I thought she was trying to figure it out a little in her crib after her nap earlier, but she's got it now! She's made a full 100° spin around!
Maybe she'll sleep tonight?! Ha!

DS1 still lets me pick out his clothes so he generally matches. Whenever he starts to want to pick out his own clothes I'll let him and won't worry about wild combinations. I think nothing of a child out and about in unmatching clothing. If I even noticed I assume they picked their outfit out themself. Unless it's a holiday where nice family pictures would be taken. Then he'll be wearing what I want lol.

Much less stressful. And DD has way too many tiny beads and other crap he can get into.

DD had her first dentist appointment today. I was really worried about how she would do because she doesn't like people touching her or things that make noise but she did sooo well! I was also very impressed by the dentist office. DS seems to be doing better now that he is back on Zantac but he is in teething hell. His poor cheeks are all red too.

I keep meaning to make DS1's first dentist appointment and keep forgetting. I really need to do that.

I keep meaning to make DS1's first dentist appointment and keep forgetting. I really need to do that. DD will be 4 in July so I've really pushed it, but she needs a dental exam in order to go to PreK. Thankfully she finally has Medicaid because she was uninsured for a while so we couldn't go.

Add M to that miss matched toddler. Sometimes she lets me pick out 1/2 of her outfit so I can control the leggings under the dress. She will only wear dresses, so 3/4 of her closet goes untouched.
P has been getting up to her side from her back so I feel that flip is coming soon.

Not sure how I got lucky, but DS slept until 8:30 and pretty soundly most of the night. I'm sure it will change as we adjust to DST this week.

P hates sleep. She will sleep from 8-12 then she wakes every hour until we get her up at 630. Sometimes we can just replace her paci and she falls back asleep most times she ends up in the swing. I bought a zipadeezip today hoping that helps.

akwildI say he slept until 8:30 but he still wakes several times to nurse. He is normally every two hours but he did a 3.5 hour stretch from 5-8:30 which is his longest ever! Don't they know how wonderful sleep really is?!?

Bed time is not going super well for us tonight. Dd2 took her last nap super late so everything got pushed back, then she spit up all over right after she fell asleep so things got moved even farther. dd1 did great with an earlier nap today but she is but having it with bedtime.

We are on spring break this week. M and I were playing with her new Koloa create when I was like omg it’s 7 pm. So here I am trying to get P to sleep where hopefully she gives us a nice long stretch. I have no alarm set so we are just going to wake up whenever then head to a friends house to play.

DS1 did fine last night - he has started fighting naps hard so and we had a family dinner last night so we just didn't even try a nap. He went to bed late because of when we got home and woke up just fine when we woke him up this morning.
DS2 went down just fine, but only lasted 2 hours in his crib. Currently we've just been cosleeping after he wakes up the first time so it was a long night with him in bed with me starting around midnight. I don't think it had anything to do with the time change - he's just been doing that lately.

brenna I hope the rest of the night went well after finally getting everyone to sleep! akwild I hope you enjoy your spring break week! Nymeria we've been getting that first wake-up after only 2-3 hours lately too. Last night was the first time in about a week that DD didn't wind up in bed with me in the early am.

I've been getting too excited about clothes for DD. I ordered some spring-ish stuff in her next size, but I totally jumped the gun on that. It's too cold! I still need pants and long sleeve things in that size...

I still need pants and long sleeve things in that size... I've always thought it was crazy how early clothes switch seasons, but it's even worse for kids. I should be able to buy pants and long sleeves in New England in February. Everything was already turned over to spring and summer clothes. So stupid.

And it's hard to judge what size she'll need when it actually gets warm enough for the stuff they have available in store right now! I thought I was getting ahead of things with the spring stuff. They literally have shorts and tanks in store right now.... We can't wear that stuff for probably three more months!

Dear DS, please stop rolling over every time we put you on the floor/in your crib and then getting mad because you don't want to be on your belly. It's quite exhausting.

She's finally is getting better at rolling herself back over but sometimes she gets stuck and just screams until we flip her back over.

She seemed like she was still sleeping though and we had to turn on her lamp and get her to open her eyes for her to calm down. My DH had to pull an all nighter for work 😯 and said she woke up a few more times too. First nap was pretty short too...
