How old is baby: 6 days
Baby is the size of a: Baby! Lol I think she's still under 6lbs
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: She has her two week appointment next week.
Milestones: She's almost a week old!
Rants/Raves/Vents: It seems so surreal to have a third kid. Like, my brain just views it as 2 kids and a baby and somehow the baby is her own person and not a 3rd kid? Idk. To be fair, it took awhile for my other kids to really feel like mine. Loved them fiercely but I felt like someone gave them to me to watch, not keep. It's weird.
Question of the week: What's your morning drink of choice? Mimosas when they're an option lol Otherwise, coffee is always wanted.

FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: pink...will the shock ever wear off?

Milestones: she definitely knows my voice and looks for when she hears me ❤️. She can also smell me as soon as I walk in the room 😆. she also rolled from belly to back last night!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’ve had a bit of baby blues. It’s just sad knowing this is my last baby and knowing how fast it goes. I randomly break into tears. Love those PP hormones.

Baby is the size of an: increasingly growing larger watermelon. 😬
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM

Symptoms: slow, emotionally fragile 😂 Don't mess with the overdue lady.
Milestones: Hit the due date, I am happy for that!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I keep finding crap to clean because I feel like I have to be doing something.
Question of the week: What's your morning drink of choice? Coffee, for sure, or Starbucks white mocha (with half the chocolate, I can make a tall work for GD purposes!).

k thank you for that! Both my boys had it, DS2 somewhat concerningly. Hopefully I have your experience! They can see it in the amniotic fluid on the ultrasound if it's there, so tomorrow will hopefully ease my mind a bit.

How old is baby: 5 weeks today.
Baby is the size of a: Huge! I haven't had an appointment in a few weeks, but I am pretty sure he is up at least 4 pounds.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Baby Boy
Appointments: Check up tomorrow.
Symptoms: Baby is still really fussy/gassy. I am still trying to manage an oversupply and overactive letdown.
Milestones: Baby boy is noticeably smiling which melts my heart. He also has a lot more head control and is lifting his head and looking around.
Rants/Raves/Vents: It is going by too fast! I am having a hard time with the idea of never having a newborn again.
At the same time, this is so freaking hard! Because of DH's job, the time of year, and our livestock, I am pretty much on my own as far as parenting and household stuff goes. We are both working so hard to keep things going but I am struggling.
Question of the week: What's your morning drink of choice? Black coffee.

How old is baby: 9 days Baby is the size of a: 7 lb 11 oz at pediatrician yesterday (up 6 oz from birth weight) FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ftm booyeah! We're doing this thing! Team: blue Appointments: OB tomorrow to check my incision (removed the wound vac per her orders myself this evening, saw 5.5" scar for your first time and it's already really unobtrusive looking, I'm so relieved!) Symptoms: 5 day hospital stay then an almost completely immobile and pain overwhelmed several more days since my Crohn's flared horribly after delivery and my bowels completely impacted and stopped until tonight I did basically a colonoscopy prep and am having a little gas and bowel movement for the first time. The pain, inflammation, and distension have been a nightmare. Milestones: I pooped tonight! Assuming (hoping) there's more to come. Carried baby to his crib for the first time tonight, helped diaper and swaddle him a few times in the last couple days. Rants/Raves/Vents: motherhood for all intents and purposes is on hold for me until this pain and bowel impaction can get under control. Have had to be so patient and just watch baby growing up before my eyes while DH does 99% of his care. Can't go pick him up if he cries, can't hold and cuddle him except a few moments here and there. Didn't know what his little body parts looked like until days after his birth. Exhausted from non stop pain for days on end and still have had less than 10-12 hours of sleep total since his birth. Able to eat maybe 500 calories a day of bread, soy milk, chicken broth. Still distended almost to pregnancy size. My spirits surprisingly are quite content and at peace, taking lots of joy in our son and soaking up everything of him I can, feeling thankful to have a baby safe and sound. Communicated well with DH and feeling loved and supported. Really scared that it will take a very long time to be able to do anything for baby and myself. No shower since birth either, just can't swing it with pain. Ugh. Had to stay home while DH and my dad topk baby to his first Dr appt. Sorry to vent so much, this is just why I've been a bit off the grid! Question of the week: What's your morning drink of choice? Magnesium citrate with a chaser of miralax

sunshiney I’m so sorry you’re having such a hard time! Lots of hugs! The c section rocked my world so I can’t imagine having something additional to manage like you’re dealing with. The pain and inability to do anything normal is really tough to deal with. I’m almost 3 weeks pp and I’m feeling much better but a long way to feel normal. I’m so glad your Hubby is being awesome and taking care of baby! Hang in there!! ❤️

sunshiney, I'm happy you seem to be in a good head space given what you've been dealing with. I hope things start improving soon. I can't imagine how hard this has been on you.

How old is baby?: 4 weeks tomorrow
Baby is the size of a: If he’s still gaining at the same rate, he’s not quite 6.5 lbs
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Ben’s one-month checkup is on 3/4
Symptoms: I’m so ready to start yoga and take some long walks again. Counting down to my 6-week checkup and hoping for some warmer days next month so we can all get out of the house. As for B, I think he’s a bit refluxy. He’s generally been a happy spitter so far, but I can tell it’s a little uncomfortable sometimes. We’re going to start gerber soothe drops today to see if that helps at all.
Milestones: Ben has been so much more awake and alert over the last week. He’s observing more of his surroundings and starting to get a lot more active with his little arms and legs.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I think that B might have a slight lip tie? It looks like it to my untrained eyes, and his top lip doesn’t flare when he latches. But he transfers milk well and my nipples aren’t suffering, so I’ll just mention it at his checkup and go from there.
Question of the week: What's your morning drink of choice? Coffee with sugar and half & half

How old is baby: 7 weeks 2 days
Baby is the size of a: this kid is 12 frickin pounds as of Monday (was 6 lb 14 at birth) 😳
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: 💚➡️💙
Appointments: had my PP appointment on Monday. I left with an IUD and a prescription.
Symptoms: I’m feeling great physically. Mentally/emotionally I am struggling.
Milestones: still waiting for V to start smiling. He often looks like he wants to! Just hasn’t yet. He’s growing at an alarming rate and his face is changing too; he no longer looks like a brand new newborn but has these big, inquisitive eyes that focus right on you. He’s also trying to grasp toys and has gotten ahold of the rings on his playmat a couple times already.
Rants/Raves/Vents: solo parenting three small kids day in and day out is HARD. I’m really excited to have more a routine but feel stuck until V starts sleeping more predictably. Right now I have no idea at the outset of any given night what the next several hours hold.
I really want to start working out and putting some time into meal planning and healthy eating. I feel like if I could rely on V to sleep until a ballpark time (say 7 am) then I could get up at 6 and exercise before the kids are up. But that’s not going to happen right now with a baby who sometimes is awake and screaming inconsolably from 3-6 am (like Monday night). If he falls back to sleep at 6 you bet your ass I’m going back to bed for that last hour and a half til I have to get up to get DS1 ready for school.
Question of the week: What's your morning drink of choice? Hot coffee with unsweetened almond milk.

I am going to try for flexible and fast healthy meals. As far as working out I have been putting LO right on the yoga mat with me and talking to him while I work out. That makes it sound far more successful than it actually is, but I figure it is a start! I am sorry you are having a bit of a rough go. It is so hard!
