Baby’s age: 11 months, 2 weeks, 6 days. Next week I will have a one year old. I’m not ready.
Milestones and Appointments: 12 month appointment in 2 weeks. He’s got several words (mama, dada, banana, hi, bye, ball, book). Not walking yet, but has just started getting brave enough to let go and stand on his own for a hot second. Play seems more careful and purposeful recently, rather than just grabbing things and throwing them (although he still does plenty of this). He’s been off reflux meds for 2 weeks and he’s doing great!
Baby’s likes/dislikes: He likes pretty much all foods he’s tried so far, bath time, wrestling with his teddy bear, and trying to climb on everything. He doesn’t like when I take his spoon or cup away after he’s thrown it on the floor multiple times, laying still for diaper changes, and getting his face and hands wiped after eating.
Rants/Raves: I’m not in the shape I imagined I’d be in one year postpartum. I’m doing better about working out more regularly, but I just cannot kick the sweet tooth. Also my boobs are so sad. I tried on some swimsuits and just ugh. They definitely need more support than they used to. I’ll rave about how sweet L is. He’s showing so much affection lately. Hugs, laying his head on my shoulder, attempts at kisses. I love it.
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? I think I’d like to be an interior designer. I’m not necessarily amazing at home decor, but I like planning it out and looking for pieces. Also I really love Pinterest and Home Goods.
Poof
ETA: fixed age. I can’t math.

Yes I keep thinking it's time for a check in, but I didn't know if we'd just wait to do 1 year stats. OMG nuggetrn has a ONE YEAR OLD this. friday. already. what. Baby’s age: 11 months Milestones and Appointments: eh, not much. Pulls himself along on belly or while sitting. Getting pretty fast esp the scooting. Give "kisses", has been experimenting with his hands and making all sorts of motions and also putting things against his face and head and feeling his hair which he'd never done before. A lot of garbeling but no words. Baby’s likes/dislikes: loves:Teddy bears esp my Pooh Bear that's bigger than he is, his sippy cup of milk(new) exploring the house, the dog(she's an outdoor pet, but comes in by the back door sometimes), all snacks and food, his plastic cutlery that he pulls out of their drawer, his bath as always, and I think he even maybe likes sleeping. Rants/Raves: he's been a really easy baby, YAY, but I feel like it's gonna be really hard and intense the next year. If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? I would flip houses! All the physical labor contracted out of course lol.

Ok now I'm laughing I was typing when you posted but I could have just +1 everything. Truly everything except the words and standing. I love the Gryffindor/muggle outfit, I'm sad DS's is too small. Here he's "giving pooh kiss". poof

Baby’s age: 10 months 1 week
Milestones and Appointments: not much new lately. She has several words, points, waves, claps, kisses, stacks things. 10 months is when she suddenly became interested in books and pointing at the pictures. Still mostly immobile but she's getting more sturdy at standing and getting gradually closer to crawling...
Baby’s likes/dislikes: she likes music and dancing, her brother and grandparents, books, animal sounds, eating. She HATES strangers, doesn't like having her bum wiped or getting dressed.
Rants/Raves: I need her to start crawling and standing on her own because she's so frustrated with her inability to follow her brother around.
Other than that she's still an easy baby and I don't have too many complaints!
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have?
My dream is to be a novelist. I love writing.
I'd also love to be a wedding dress designer haha.
She has a runny nose in this picture, but this is from her 10 month photos:

Baby’s age: 11 months
Milestones and Appointments: I should make her 1 year appointment soon. I think I forgot to take her to a 9 month one 😬 (second child problems). She’s standing on her own, and although I originally thought she’d be walking by her birthday, I think it’ll be a bit later.
Baby’s likes/dislikes: she loves to climb the stairs and “run away” from us. She’s been trying to sneak into the bathroom because she knows she get into trouble when she’s in there. Still picking everything up off the floor and trying to put things in her mouth.
Rants/Raves: I’ve loved that I was able to breastfeed this time but I’m just starting to be done with it. Holding out for a year, then going to cut back. I hate that she still wakes up 2 or 3 times a night. I just want to sleep! Other than that, she’s a wonderful little girl. Happy and easygoing.
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have?
I’d move us all back to my family farm and raise animals. Maybe become a farrier.

Baby’s age: 11 months on the 23rd
Milestones and Appointments: Walking with a walker. 8 teeth. Eating us out of house and home.
Baby’s likes/dislikes: She loves all food. She eats more than the adults sometimes. She loves climbing and exploring. Hates... Ball pits.
Rants/Raves: There's multiple instances in my family of the second child being a "wanderer", including my brother. Traveling all over, no fear, stuff like that. I'm already predicting that will be N. She has no fear and hates sitting still. Loves meeting people.
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? The place I go to buti at is a cute store with a yoga studio in back. It's two people that run each separately but I'd love to do both and also sell baked goods. Basically, buti, desserts and jewelery.

Baby’s age: 10.5 months
Milestones and Appointments: no appointments until her 1 year visit. She's been walking for about a month and has the stairs down pat. She tries to climb inside every single basket and box we own. She says mama, dada, Bo, go, pup, up, hat and grampa.
Baby’s likes/dislikes: She loves bath time and loves her brother. She gets so excited when he gets home. She also loves to wear hats and headbands. I was never a bow mom until she started bringing them to me to put on her head. She hates being restrained in any way-diaper changes, car seat, stroller, carrier- and screams bloody murder.
Rants/Raves: She is so busy and strong- willed and a shitty sleeper. I'm really tired!
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? I've always wanted to be a jeweler.

Rants/Raves: hate that we aren’t sleeping better (we are back to 3 wake ups this week😑) she is so content and so happy. also a big cuddler. i just can’t believe it’s been nearly a year already If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? art historian, baker, infectious disease dr. will try to add photo later tapa isn’t working

Baby’s age: 10.5 mo Milestones and Appointments: She is about 25 pounds already, so in the 99+ percentile, and has 6 teeth. Almost walking! And she has three words. Dada, Mama and Andy (her brother's name). She takes particular delight in shouting her brother's name when he enters a room ("AH-DEEEEE!!!!"). It is my FAVORITE Baby’s likes/dislikes: She loves eating just about everything we put in front of her. Clapping. Snow. Throwing the coasters off the end table. Her brother. Playing peekaboo (she uses her shirt to hide). She dislikes strawberries, not being able to stack the Fisher Price rings (she gets mad and throws the ring), and diaper rash. That's pretty much it. Rants/Raves: She is teething badly right now and has bitten us multiple times this week. Unpleasant. I'm also super ready for the winter of sick to be over. If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? DH and I have always thought it would be awesome to run a BnB. Something in a really cool location where I could cook for guests, we could stock outdoor recreational gear, maintain a gorgeous home and gardens, etc. Not practical for a lot of reasons but its fun to dream about.

Baby’s age: 11m 1w Milestones: started taking independent steps last week Baby’s likes/dislikes: Loves eating/Hates sleeping Rants/Raves: He still doesn’t sleep through the night and takes,at best, 1 nap for 30-45min. We are moving in two weeks, and packing with these kids is almost impossible. If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? Librarian 🤓

Baby’s age: 11 months and 1 week Milestones and Appointments: we had a pedi appt yesterday - everything is going well and he weighs 19lbs 5 oz. Baby’s likes/dislikes: He hates when I try to put my fingers in his mouth to feel for more teeth. He looooves the dog. It’s so cute. Rants/Raves: These molars will be the death of me. We have two coming in and he just whines constantly. If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? Some sort of world traveling author.

Baby’s age: 10mos
Milestones and Appointments: walking(ish), cruises very well, eats everything, points and yells for things, has excellent receptive language and is starting to follow prompts/directions, handful of words that she uses pretty inconsistently, four teeth
Baby’s likes: dogs and stuffed animals, her sister, women in general, music (I know everyone says this but she is just so so into music), “reading”, those soft granola bars, eggs, drinking from a sippy cup, rattles, little people figures
/dislikes: not being held, not doing things herself, when I leave the room
Rants/Raves: she’s still EBF with the occasional bottle of formula thrown in for convenience sake but I think that’ll be over closer to one. I BF DD1 until 15mos+ so I’m having a little guilt with wanting to be done. I wish we could BF just mornings/evenings but my body is barely keeping up since I’ve switched to pumping 1-2x/day vs 2-3.
She’s still just a little drop of sunshine. She’s not the best sleeper but ever since we all recovered from the stomach bug and her teeth popped through she’s been consistently waking 0-1x/night which has been lovely.
This probably sounds dumb but we all just love having her around. She’s a very joyful baby - though she’s definitely opinionated 😂 - and I’m more and more excited that this is what our family has come to look like.
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? Famous author - so I’d be rich, have a cool, rewarding career, and not everyone would know who I was.
...can I just say “philanthropist” though? Is that a job?!

Baby’s age: almost 11 months
Milestones and Appointments: how is he one in like 5.5 weeks? I don’t know where the last few months went. I’m so sad that he’s probably my last baby but also... not? I don’t know. He’s crawling like a champ and into everything. Baby proofing our house while also not hindering the older kid (not sure he will be able to open gates) will be a challenge. He says mum, dad and ta (Australian thing- means thank you, didn’t realise it wasn’t universal until a Canadian friend commented on it). He is not sleeping through yet. He “sings” along to songs and it is so cute my gosh I die. His daycare teacher said he “shushes” the other babies if she does it lol.
Baby’s likes/dislikes: loves food, his brother, eating things that aren’t food, outlets, drawers, trying to climb the stairs 😳 hates having his diaper changed and getting dressed 🙄
Rants/Raves: babyproofing sucks. I miss being able to plonk him in the bathroom with me with some toys so I can shower. Now he’s just trying to get all my products out of the drawers and eat them. I need to buy drawer locks that aren’t sticky on so they don’t ruin my cabinets.
If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have?
I think maybe a developmental paediatrician? Or head of a multidisciplinary paediatric developmental clinic. I think no matter what I would work with or impact kids in some way.

I chuckled when I saw it because yes. That’s the general state of being around here too. B had a shiner for like a week and I think it was from when he was sitting and somehow just fell flat on his face. I don’t even know what he was doing.

I am finally doing this... Baby’s age: 11.5 months Milestones and Appointments: His 1 year appointment is March 11. I hope we can make it to the without an appointment for illness. I think we have had some kind of appointment every month since September. Milestones: pulls to stand, a little cruising along the furniture, lots of sound combinations Baby’s likes/dislikes: he likes baths, walks, playing with big brother, almost all food, throwing food on the floor, and dogs. We need a dog to eat all the food he throws on the floor. Dislikes: he is not a big fan of breads/grains or bananas. He prefers meat, fruits, and veggies. He dislikes it when I walk out of the room. Rants/Raves: getting four molars at once has been not so fun. He has been so fussy because of it. Also, I am sick of his fevers. He spikes a 102-103 temp pretty much once a week. We get a couple healthy and happy days and then bam another fever. Also, he really needs a haircut but he has the cutest curls after bath time so I really don’t want to get it cut. If money, skill, or practicality weren’t issues, what job would you like to have? A dolphin trainer, or I think decorating cakes would be fun.
