Yay exciting sally! I wonder how Bluebird is doing post transfer. I started stims this weekend, labs and ultrasound on Wednesday. I’m impatient to see how things look! In previous non-IVF injectable cycles, I have had mature follicles by day 6-7. So I’m interested to see how this regimen impacts that timeline.

In previous non-IVF injectable cycles, I have had mature follicles by day 6-7. So I’m interested to see how this regimen impacts that timeline. Transfer failed. My RE wants to do an endometrial scratch before our next transfer. I’m taking a cycle off to process and feel sad since it was our one girl embryo. At the end of the day, I don’t care what the sex is if we are able to have a second, but I am mourning a little bit for the baby girl I always wanted. I understand that is kind of flame worthy, but it’s honest.

Bluebird I’m so sorry. There are no flames for grieving. Taking time to work through your feelings sounds like a good plan <3

sally How exciting! I hope your transfer goes smooth. sharebear Congrats on starting stims! I hope you respond well and have minimal side effects. Bluebird I’m so sorry. I totally understand where you’re coming from. IF sucks and it’s one more dream that you have to let go of. Sending you hugs.

I’m here just hanging out. I’m waiting for my period to come (est. on Valentines Day lucky me) and then hopefully onto a FET cycle.

sally, Thinking of you today! Bluebird, I am so sorry and I totally get your feelings <3 sharebear, how are stims going? AFM, we're gearing up for IVF #2. Just got a positive OPK so we'll wait this cycle out. What we're doing differently this time: We're having H's sperm tested for DNA fragmentation (if he has high fragmentation then we would plan on retrieving sperm via biopsy since unejaculated sperm has lower fragmentation rates). We will also add clomid to my IVF stims and fertilize with ICSI in hopes to get as many embryos as possible (only had 3 last time). Then we will do PGS testing. If we only end up with a few embryos from this IVF we might do a 3rd one so we have more to work with for PGS. We considered doing the ERA to test for endometrial receptivity, and our RE is willing to do it but the research just isn't there. ERA is the new big thing on all the fertility boards and everyone is about it but the study on it was super duper tiny so it just might not be worth it, plus time might not be on our side: see below. The idea of back to back IVF will only be possible if H is still at his current job. They have pretty good fertility coverage and we want to take advantage of it now because he is actively looking for a new job. So some things still up in the air; we're also doing house renos, then selling the house, and a project I'm working on just got funded so that is about to get a lot busier - life is a little nuts at the moment. lol.

charliefox that’s exciting for you to have a new plan! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that all goes well! Stims are going! This morning’s ultrasound made my RE very happy and he is optimistic. Looks like my retrieval will be Wednesday. I told the RE I was starting to feel some tenderness and he said (jokingly I hope), “just you wait.” I finally am at the point where I don’t want to do even gentle RE-approved exercise. Also the headaches, fatigue, and bloating are not helping things. Also my belly is done getting injected multiple times a day. TL;DR I’m tired and crabby and over stims, ready for a break from injections, retrieval Wed

charliefox I’m glad you have a solid plan with your RE. I’m hoping everything works out for you. You have a lot on your plate. sharebear yay for a good ultrasound and response to stims. I know the side effects can be difficult. I’m impressed you are still trying to do light exercise. I...uh...didn’t.

charliefox sounds like you have a good plan. sharebear I’m glad stims are going well! AFM, I’m PUPO! Transfer went smoothly (except for being a little later than planned and having to wait with a VERY full bladder), now we wait. My betas aren’t until the 20th so I’m trying to just stay calm and keep myself busy.

Yay sally ! Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you! AFM - lupron trigger is a go for me tonight! I am borderline hyperstimulated and can barely get my pants zipped. I wish the retrieval could happen today just so I could potentially have some bloating relief as I head towards the weekend. I have been spending too much time on the internet looking for ways to relieve bloating post-retrieval. If I could look only 4 months pregnant vs 6 months pregnant on my belated Valentine's Day date with DH, I would be super happy. But, alas, I will probably end up wearing leggings or stretchy pants of some sort.

sally , congrats on being PUPO! I hope the days fly by! sharebear , fair warning: after egg retrieval I was super bloated for days. I have low AMH and only had 7 mature eggs but the surgery made me extremely bloated. My abdomen was distended for like 4-5 days, it was uncomfortable to say the least. Anyway, GL with retrieval - sending all the positive vibes!

sharebear the Lupron trigger should help thing out a LOT. My first retrieval I triggered with HCG and I didn’t even have many eggs and I felt terrible for days. With the lupron one I had wayyy more eggs but felt fine the next day or the day after - I think it basically makes the estrogen tank, which is part of what’s making you feel so bad. I was still a little bloated and followed the OHSS protocol but it was not a big deal. I hope you find it NBD too!

sharebear how did retrieval go? How are you doing? Well, I hope! Retrieval went well - they got 22 eggs! Now I just get to wait impatiently this morning for the fertilization report. I feel bloated, as expected, but already better this morning. We are doing a freeze-all cycle, but I'm prepping for a fresh transfer just in case tomorrow things look iffy and a fresh might be a better option. So I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's call so I can hopefully stop the estrogen and progesterone for a a week or so. Also the PIO shots suck.

Just got back from meeting with my coordinator (Also, still LOVE my RE. Ran into her, we chatted and discussed the plan - she is just so approachable and on top of things). Anyway, This cycle will be over end of next week then I start BC! Egg retrieval tentatively the last week in March. Man, it always feels so good to have a plan.

sharebear those are some great numbers! Grow embryos grow! charliefox Yay for a plan and being able to start soon! As for me, I had my CD3 baseline ultrasound yesterday for FET #2. Everything was normal. They want to keep everything the same as last time, so I started letrozole yesterday. I’m just so incredibly nervous this cycle. This is it for us we can’t afford further treatment so it’s just so much pressure.

Good luck sharebear and champagne! Not sure how much I’ll be around this particular any more. I’m 95% sure that we are done trying. Honestly I feel a bit relieved right now and am looking forward to finding myself again because it seems like my whole life has been on hold the last 2+ years. We’ll keep our remaining embryos on ice a while longer, just in case. I wish you all the best. ❤️

charliefox I'm so excited for you to feel good about the coordinator and having a plan. Woohoo fresh cycle! champagne the added pressure of time and finances makes all of this so much more ridiculously stressful. Sending soothing and relaxing lucky vibes your way. sharebear Any updates on you embryos? Did they make it to freeze? Did you decide to do a fresh transfer at all?

sharebear Any updates on you embryos? Did they make it to freeze? Did you decide to do a fresh transfer at all? 5 made it to freeze! 3 on day 5 and 2 yesterday. And today is CD 1 so I got a whopping 6 days off of fertility meds as I start the estrace tomorrow. Based on back of the envelope calculations, I think the transfer will end up being 3/7ish? Assuming my uterus and hormones cooperate?
