DD is in that raking phase where she's dragging her nails on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. It's driving me nuts!! I can't have any exposed skin within reach of her hands! I have to hold dd's hands while she's eating or else she is scratching the heck out of my boobs! Yes! She gave me a good enough scratch recently that it scabbed a little!

The boob scratching and pinching has been the reason why I have been trying to wear my teething necklace again. It's like these wooden balls covered in crochet. Seems to help a bit. I know they make silicone ones too.

It's actually a sitting on the counter waiting to be washed.

DD rolled back to belly today! I missed the first one, but now she's doing it over and over ☺️

I ordered some 9 Month clothes for DD tonight, including some spring stuff!! Yay!
Girlfriend is chunking up fast. She's over 16 lbs already - she's gained another pound in less than a month. DS was eight month old before he was 16 lbs - she's not even 5 months yet! Granted she was almost a full pound heavier at birth, but still. What a difference. It's so nice not worrying if she's gaining enough.

tbirdloveDS got some 9 month stuff at Christmas that he's been wearing already. It's crazy how certain things fit, but he's also often in cloth diapers too. I usually have to roll the arms once though. I'm interested in how much he's grown when we go to his 4 month check on the 26th because he is huge. He was over 14lbs at his 2 month!

It's so nice not worrying if she's gaining enough. Right?!?! There is no doubt DS2 is growing enough. It's so nice after all the dropping % and extra weight checks with DS1. It's hard to believe they were fed from the same boobs because they started at the same weight but DS2 is getting to much bigger so much faster.

C's 4 month appointment is on Thursday, I'm definitely a little worried about his weight (he was 9th percentile at 2 months and 8th percentile when I did a weight check at the LC three weeks ago). But he's been doing fine with bottles and seems to be eating enough at the breast. Definitely going to ask about reflux though, he has points where he seems really uncomfortable while eating and does this gulping thing frequently like he's refluxing and swallowing it back down.

DramaphileIf it is reflux, it's amazing how quickly I noticed a difference with DS once he was on his Zantac. I hope your appointment goes well!

Dramaphile - I hope the appointment goes well. One thing I always had to remind myself with DS1 was that it's ok for baby to be in the low % as long as they find their curve and stick to it. DS1 was 50% at birth and steadily dropped to 7-8%. We had a ton of extra weight checks to watch him, but once he hit the 7-8% he stayed there.

With dd1 my pediatrician always said "somebody has to be in the lower percentiles and that just happens to be your daughter but that's ok" and it always made me feel better. Not all babies are going to be huge and as long as they are staying on their curve it's perfectly fine.

I understand the worry. The drs kept telling me that all babies spit up. It wasn’t until P dropped from the 90th to the 49th did they believe me that it was A LOT. We FF so they had us put some rice in her formula. She just went in for a weight check almost 3 weeks later and she’s up a pound. Which is shocking.

The ped wasn't worried at his 2 month (he went from 80th percentile at birth to 9th, although he is also short- he was 14th percentile for height), but combined with the possible reflux and finding out he only took 2 oz at a weighted feed in the LC's office, I've been watching him more carefully. He hardly ever actually spits up. I definitely have plenty of milk and lean toward oversupply (I pump more at work than he consumes while I'm gone). If he's keeping on his curve then that's fine with me, DD was on the smaller side (more like 20-25th percentile) and he doesn't look skinny to me and is hitting his milestones. I just don't want him to have dropped in percentiles and causing concern.

She still mostly wears my nephew's 6 month clothes though, Its weird, boy's six month is almost the same size as girl's nine month.

DD is making it so hard to feed her! She's so distracted I can't eat or drink anything, can't be on my phone, or watch anything on TV or she's trying to look at/grab whatever I'm looking at. Also dd1 is a big distraction so I'm not sure how to feed her right now because I don't trust dd1 to be alone. Hopefully we can figure something out soon.

Can't eat, can't drink, can't play with my phone. We can usually get by with the TV on, but the worse is when he triggers a letdown then pulls off to look at something. So annoying.

I wish I could give her a bottle sometimes to give my nipples a break but she's still refusing 😕

C gets so pissed off when someone makes noise while he is eating! He doesn't care about noise any other time, but anything somewhat loud (especially MH's deep voice) makes him so upset! He's super distractable, too, I can't even look at him while he's eating or he will pop off to smile and laugh and coo with me.

Dd1 was up screaming and crying from midnight to past 3 am last night. I'm not sure what was wrong, but DH had to sleep on the floor in her room to get her to calm down. We are all very very tired today. 😴

Dammit. I had to wash the seat fabric for our exersaucer and it seems to have shrunk. I can't get it back on the base. He loves that thing! I contacted customer service so hopefully they get back to me quickly.

I have a stupid question that I feel like I should know the answer to, but never had this problem with dd1. Dd2 is chowing down on the solid foods and will easily eat an entire container in one sitting and still want more. I've always tried to breastfeed first before solids but she seems way more interested in solids at the moment. If she wants more should I try to breastfeed her again? Give her even more solids? Something else? Dd1 was super finicky and didn't really like baby food, she pretty much did BLW herself.

I really believe the whole "food before one is just for fun" concept and am super protective of my supply so I would want to make sure he was still taking in plenty from the boobs and not filling up on solids.

How's Leap 5???
We're a day out from the "expected" start of it and the last couple days have been odd already.... If this is any indication of what Leap 5 is going to be like for us, I'm getting worried.
Leaps 2 and 3 were awful for us, but thankfully 4 I didn't even really notice. I'm afraid I'm not going to get so lucky with this one.
Also, I need to catch up in here!

Dd2 rolled over a few times onto her stomach while she was sleeping last night and freaked out. We would have to go in and flip her back over. Hopefully she will either stop rolling at night or learn to like her belly!

And after a few nights of finally getting him to sleep alone in his PNP we've ended up cosleeping most of the night the past couple nights.
