Ok, scores are in. I only gave myself a 2/5 for food. I follow macros, I'm not doing their food plan. I followed my breakfast and lunch plan but did poorly at dinner. My brother changed his menu so we got a bunch of new stuff to try then stopped for dessert on the way home. So I kind of just scored that by feel. Is there a better way to judge that one? I think this is totally fine. I mean, scoring for all of this is based on the honor system anyway. I like to think of it as choices vs. an overall assessment. I like this approach because it helps me to feel in control and really think about what is worth using a point for. Sounds like your choices were totally worth it!!!! That's what I like about this opposed to other options where you fail because you ate one thing, even if you weren't aware that it was there until after you ate it. Sometimes you "need" that glass of wine. Sometimes you "need" that piece of chocolate. Sometimes you have to grab whatever you can get and eat it on the way to whatever it is you are going to. None of those things are a failure.

GhoatMonket, sounds like you really have a thoughtful plan in place. I'm glad you felt the break was positive. I don't remember you really pushing back on the digital ones except that one ridiculous time they wanted us to not use anything but then still read their site and post on their blog and that nonsense. I just remember you not particularly liking them.

None of those things are a failure. And for me, really thinking about and reflecting on my patterns of using food as a drug is helpful. Like, if I follow my food plan for four days and get my points I get a freebie point....that is moderation. Like...it helped me to kind of learn what a "treat" really means frequency wise.

I wanted to count my ice shoveling as exercise. It is hard, but my motive was to avoid my workout so down to the basement I go. My workout aversion is really strong which is new for me.
Also I am really going to miss my snow day beers with H. Even though my hot lemon water is cozy.

Also I am really going to miss my snow day beers with H. Even though my hot lemon water is cozy. Nothing will beat a snow day beer, but for when I want something refreshing (and non-alcoholic), instead of cozy, I’ve been brewing and icing an herbal tea to keep on hand. Then I mix it with some seltzer, and I might add a squeeze of citrus, or even some frozen berries, and maybe a dash of bitters (which I realize are technically alcoholic, but it’s such a small amount, it’s really in the way that vanilla extract is.) I also like to do some tea-based kombucha mixed with seltzer.

Love that idea coconutbacon! I’m going to ice some tea for later! And I agree re: bitters

It’s been a long day of a lot of driving and sick baby and poor food for my moms bday. And now is 730, kids arenot yet in bed and I’m already trying to talk myself into doing my workout instead of just collapsing on the couch and going to bed at 9pm

Didn't get my sleep in as planned, and my workout was a disaster (likely linked to that). I had to force the well being today but I did it.
My nephew's organ harvest was at 3AM and I really couldn't sleep until then. And with where I am in my cycle it's one of the days I will struggle sleeping anyway. I got buried by a bench that was my opening attempt 3 months ago, so everything is going really great here.

This challenge is coming at such a great time for me. I'm really struggling, personally. I am so down on myself and feel so overwhelmed with everything. I am grateful to have a plan in place and make time for me and to focus on my well-being.
I've used my golden hour to put my phone and play with my kids. I, too, agree that it is embarrassing how often I reach for it to read things. I need to start charging it away from my bed at night. I find that every time I get up with the baby, I end up reading things on my phone for an addition 30-45 minutes and then my sleep suffers.

I love this challenge because of the ways it helps me connect the dots. Like...oh, when I don't sleep, my workout and nutrition suffer and when I am on my phone too much, I don't sleep. I am also in an overwhelmed burnout space, so know you are not alone!!!

GhoatMonket, I remember waiting in the waiting room when my friend's organs were being harvested. It was such a weird and emotional day. Hugs to you, be kind to yourself.

I’m the only one in the office today and I’ve been using my down time to stretch, walk, and play around with my planner. It’s been nice.

I’m enjoying stretching this time around. I’m really allowing myself to luxuriate in it.
Tried to talk myself out of exercise but BBM is so short it is almost impossible to tell myself I can’t do it. Definitely the right choice for me this round.
MH is back st his cookie thing and I ate two (he made that fancy refrigerated dough version) but other than those two points lost my eating was what I planned!

Nutrition was shit today. I had a good plan but after checking my weight and being low just before my period, I let it go.
Fortunately my brother and a couple of his kids are in the same hotel, so we had a great time having some drinks in the hot tub. DS had a blast in the pool. We may be stuck another day due to weather.

Sleep question. Do you still get the points if the lack of sleep is out of your control? I was up with the baby for two hours last night. If not for that I would have well exceeded my goal number of hours but because of it I didn't hit it.

As long as you went to bed at an hour that would have allowed you to hit your goal you are good. That being said, I still like to notice the ways in which my lack of sleep impacts my other categories...but I just make note of it, not deduct points. Babies be babying.

Have you guys found any great stretching videos or anything? I've just been youtube-ing them and trying different ones out. I wasn't sure if anyone had any they loved.

Yeah, fuck today. The reflection is my only points for the day.
I'm really looking forward to getting back to things. But today can fuck itself sideways in the ear.

There was a 15 min one they had on the app. I didn’t watch it all the way through but fast forwarded it and it looked good. I was going to try it.

I did play legos for my golden hour yesterday with DS1 and it was really fun. I’m not hating this practice. I need to cut my phone off more often

Today was a bit of lost the plot with food. I'm counting my lifting as my golden "hour" because I needed it to clear my head a bit.
I need to go pull some things together for food for work tomorrow. Need a good last couple days of fuel for my meet.

I’m starting to notice that I feel more motivated to take care of myself in other ways. I scheduled a hair appointment and a me day and I don’t feel super guilty. I’m actually excited about it!

I just needed to brag somewhere that I killed my workout today and it felt so good. Like the first time I’ve felt strong in almost a year and a half.
And I’m so close to the end of my water goal I might hit it again today!
