No one started a new thread so I decided to.

Good morning! My life has been chaos. MH started a new schedule and it’s great and a pain at the same time. It’s great because he is home more during the kids awake time but awful because I can only work for a few hours each morning so I have to work more days each week even though it’s the same amount of hours. This little dude doesn’t mind though. He has been happy as a clam.

Good morning! Today is my birthday and was baby J's due date. Not that I'm still bitter about all of you who had squishes already and me being the first one to go overdue or anything 😂😜 we just got back from vacation so I am catching up on laundry and grocery shopping before going back to work tomorrow.
Our neighbors were nice enough to shovel our driveway while we were gone - seriously the first and only time it has snowed this winter and we were gone lol. We bake them cookies and give them a bottle of wine every Christmas but I feel like giving them something as a thank you for doing that. Any ideas?

Happy Wednesday ladies! Here’s a couple of pics from the week. DD1 who is 3 took the first one which I think turned out pretty good! And baby eating a burger. She and DD1 shared one. Baby ate all of hers plus some sweet potato fries and DD1 had like 3 bites. That’s the norm in our house though. Ugh

Hi all! Things have seemed to get easier here the closer T gets to 1. She turned 11 months on the 11th and is walking all over. Hoping to get approval to get bumped from 2 to 3 days work from home which would be awesome. I had a $30 credit to Snapfish so I ordered some Valentine’s cards for grandparents and a few close family members.

Those are my only ideas but Happy Birthday!

Both of my boys have ear and eye infections, UGH. Luckily we got that diagnosed yesterday and started antibiotics and drops and everyone is already improving.

I'm finally here on time for HDBD! Every time I put shoes on him he just looks down at them like I can't wait to pull these off 😂

Are you guys doing real shoes? We are still in the Robeez but she's been walking for awhile now so I feel like we should get something else, for outside.

Had the one year well check. 16lbs8oz and 7th percentile! BOOM. Only 27.5 inches (4th) but both stats are higher than we’ve been so winning! 4 shots and bloodwork were not fun though. We’re still using the infant carrier and she’s totally wearing a 3-6 month sleeper. 🤷🏼♀️ I’d switch to a convertible but between DD3 being a flight risk and the cold the carrier has just been easier.

No 🤦♀️ I don't even put socks on her most days. And we live in the Midwest! Mom fail. I need to go to Target this weekend to get DD1 snow pants so I guess shoes/Robeez for DD3 are on the list, too. My older kids went straight to shoes but not until 14-15 months or so.

It’s only 9:20am and we have already gotten G out the door to the bus, swept all of downstairs and went out for breakfast. The baby took a car nap so I doubt he will knock out again now.
I have a short list of things I want to get done today so it shouldn’t be too bad.

Happy belated birthday peachesncream. DD is officially walking and also immediately started climbing a week later. Her birthday party is on Saturday and I'm really excited.

Am I only the one with a one year old that isn’t walking independently yet?

Am I only the one with a one year old that isn’t walking independently yet? Nope. DD2 barely stands so I would definitely say we are the furthest behind development wise - given we both have the same age babies.

My little dude will walk while holding on and let’s go when standing sometimes. I was just curious as to how far behind he is. FWIW my bffs daughter didn’t take a single independent step until 15mo. She is a perfectly typical 3 1/2 year old.

sarahh marygracerich that's definitely not developmentally behind, your babies are still well within the normal range! My ped was not concerned with baby not walking until 18 months. DD1 was 14 or 15 months before she took her first steps. Every baby is different. The only concerns at 12 months are if baby is not crawling or standing supported.

My pedi wasn’t concerned in the least but it’s so hard to not compare kids. It’s one of my worst problems.

marygracerich it's so hard not to compare when we come here to brag about what our kids can do and never say what they're NOT doing. My kid doesn't have any words yet, unless you count her ceaseless and adamant "NO"s. She hates food and sucks at eating (unless it's a phone charger, she's very good at eating those). She sucks at sippy cups, we use Wow cups and she takes a big gulp and then instead of swallowing lets it all slowly dribble out of her mouth. She's kind of an asshole.

Little mans only words so far are mama, (sometimes) dada and something that sounds really close to again. He is doing fabulous with sippy cups but is starting to become a picky eater a little bit. His sister never was and still isn’t super picky. It’s a whole new world to me. I feel like he is on the verge of independent steps but not quite there yet. He gets close to transferring from one piece of furniture without holding on. Part of my problem stems from G being behind and possibly being on the autism spectrum. She doesn’t have an official diagnosis because she is too young 3.5 and soooo borderline that it’s hard to decide but she is in all kinds of therapies and in a special ed school to hopefully help her. So now I worry that the baby will be behind. I’m the worst. ETA: he has also said banana once when MH was eating one and he wanted it. 😂
