I'm like 95% sure DD keeps saying "fucking dumb" but I don't know how to address it without it becoming a "thing". I keep hoping she's trying to say something else and is just pronouncing it incorrectly but it doesn't look like it. 😬
Parent of the year right here.

It was awkward on foggy mornings when he would be screeching "FUCK! FUCK!". I think I'd ignore it unless she were to use it as an insult towards another person. IDK though, someone may have better advice. 🤷🏻♀️

Sheila, unless it bothers you, I’d just leave it.
My kids know how to say shit in the proper context so I’m not really one to give advice there 🤷🏼♀️

sheilathetank My middle says Goddammit, alot. Or sometimes just dammit. I say that's not nice/appropriate to say. And I move the topic to something else.

We have a no name calling rule (so things can be stupid, but you can't call your brother stupid) and an appropriate circumstances rule (so no swearing at school or the supermarket) but other than that, I don't worry about it.

Sn: he went down with no issues today. He is in his sister's bed, but beggars cant be chooser, right?

We're also having some sleep issues with DS2. We went through this phase when DS1 was around the same age so we're just charging through it. Considering these are the only "sleep regressions" we've ever dealt with, I consider us lucky.
I think DS1 may be ready to drop his nap but I'm not ready 😭 If I can just get him to hold off until warm weather I'll be able to manage.

Dds first dentist appointment went swimmingly. She did A-MAZ-ING! they did however confirm my suspicions that she has a really really really bad overjet. Basically what I've gathered is she was born with a smaller slightly underdeveloped lower jaw. It is not growing at the same rate as her upper jaw. So in a few years we will need to shell out $$$$$ to fix this. Poor thing got my shitty teeth genes.

sheilathetank our dentist warned me when we were there that DS2 will almost definitely need braces due to overcrowding and that DS1 is heading that way too now (he originally had good spacing). My lower teeth are a complete disaster with being overcrowded (that never got fixed). I get the feeling all three of us will be in braces at the same time 🤦🏼♀️

Whenever DS2 is told he can’t do something, he retorts “why not?”
Us: DS2, we don’t bite. DS2: why not? Us: because it’s not nice. DS2: why not?
😒😒🤦🏼♀️

We've had a rough weekend with me and H taking turns getting sick and being stuck inside with the snowstorm. Luckily J has been fine so far but there's a stomach bug going around daycare so we'll see.
J is scheduled to move up to the big toddler room in a few weeks. It's just the other half of the same room and he's already familiar with the new teachers and they have been letting him play on the other side every now and then to transition. I was most interested in how he would do napping on a cot but apparently he has already done that a few times too. He is growing up on me.

The big toddler room goes up to 30 months and they're not really set up for potty training. We are probably a little ways away from it but we've been getting him familiar with the potty at home and he has recently been telling me (very adamantly) after he pees or poops so I could definitely see us wanting to try before 30 months, but I'm not sure how that would work without daycare being able to reinforce it.

I have an Ergo 360 carrier, can I still use it with DS2 (approx 28lbs)? Assuming my spine doesn’t snap from the extra weight 😂

That will tell you if you technically can or not I still carry DS2 and wore DS1 until this summer. Hell, I think the last time I had him on my back was July or August and he was over 35 lbs (but it was in a toddler Tula)

Duh, Lupincat 🤦🏻♀️ I’m not sure if he’ll want to be worn. I just was thinking it might be useful in addition to the stroller on our trip. And the backpack leash. No shame in my game.
