Thanks for all the well wishes! I should be getting out of here around noon after another nst and my second steroid shot. Still not clue what caused the bleeding as my placenta moved up a bit more and the deformity on it still looks the same. Their only guess is a burst blood vessel. Baby boy looks great so I’m thankful for that and really hoping this is the last of the scares.

Ugh charlotte I’m so sorry for such a rough start. Glad you and baby are ok after the fall. We found out DD had strep on top of the kidney infection this weekend and they think that’s what caused her to be so sick so if you think you have it go get tested now as she tested negative on the rapid strep test on Saturday and we just got those results yesterday. I hope your day turns around!

summerrain I’m glad things look okay!! What’s up with all the falls here lately? Last night I took my kiddo to gymnastics and afterwards I was crouched down to help her with her shoes. I went to stand up and my legs basically gave out from underneath me, and I rolled back like a turtle. Some poor woman came running over and had to heft me off the ground. MORTIFYING

Had my 36 week visit this morning and (TMI) apparently some of the pain I've been having in my pubic/perineal area may be from some irritation, so the Midwife (one I actually like) suggested I get some hydrocortisone cream and witch hazel pads. Hopefully this helps me with my discomfort while sitting! It's been hard to tell what's pubic joint pain and what's external.
They also had me sign a release/rules list for if I want to use nitrous during labor since my hospital offers it. One of the things on the list was that I can't let any of my support people use my nitrous and if I do It'll be taken away from me. Had to laugh at that one because you know some dad decided to try the laughing gas for funsies.

Dramaphile I’m pretty jealous that your hospital uses nitrous! I have heard it’s effective and that a lot of women are able to get through labor without the epidural by using it.

I pre-registered at the hospital yesterday. I feel like less of a slacker now. My OB has been mentioning it at almost every appt. I won’t be doing the hospital tour this time around so I guess that’s all I have to do.

I found out that my hospital (different from where I delivered DD1) offers a tour that’s geared at families with young children. I think they let the kids “practice” taking care of the baby (doll) and talk about things at their level. We might check it out!

She pretend plays with changing her baby dolls diapers' so I think she'd enjoy even if she's still to young to understand the universe shift that's coming.

We did a sibling class on Monday and my son loved it!

I had no idea sibling classes were a thing! I looked it up on our health network’s website and registered for the class on November 4. I got all weepy just reading the class description 🤦🏻♀️ I’m excited! I think DD will love it.

I didn’t receive the alert from el presidente. I’m not sure how to feel. If we’re all gonna die, someone needs to hook me up with that knowledge.

Dramaphile I’m pretty jealous that your hospital uses nitrous! I have heard it’s effective and that a lot of women are able to get through labor without the epidural by using it. I was pretty excited to hear they had it as an option! There's a few hospitals around Philly that started offering it in the past couple of years. It wasn't an option at the birth center where I had DD 3 years ago, but they have it now, too. I don't know if I'll end up wanting it, but I love having it available to me.

Dear rude woman at my office, there is never a reason why you should waltz into the lunchroom and ask a pregnant person if she is dilated yet. Even if I knew, I have no desire to share the state of my cervix with you or anyone else in the office.
Note this is the same rude woman who asked me a month ago if I was sure I didn't have twins in there.
Sigh.

The veins on my belly are seriously grotesque. I also don’t have the linea nigra this time. Bodies are weird.

So sorry for all the falls around here lately! Glad all the moms and babies are doing ok so far!
I'm working a ton and feeling pretty tired. My H is going camping this weekend, and I found out I need to cover work both weekend days, so hopefully DD cooperates in the mornings for me to do a little work from home. I started freaking out a bit looking at my work calendar and realizing I could be going out on leave in a matter of weeks. I have a meeting with my boss next week to discuss who's taking over what duties for me while I'm out which will make this feel even more real.
On the plus side, we're getting a bunch of stuff ready around the house! I ordered a lot of last minute things off amazon which should be here on Friday. Oh, and we bought a new minivan and just sold our beat up car for $500 more than we were expecting! Woohoo!

So I've puffed up the last two days, and my blood pressure was elevated at my OB appointment today, so even though my OB didn't go to giving me a pre-eclampsia diagnosis, I'm being watched a lot more closely and am officially on weekly appointments. She also mentioned the possibility of moving delivery up to 37 weeks... so while she also said I might very well also achieve the currently scheduled date for 39 weeks... 37 weeks is only five weeks away, and things are all of a sudden feeling a lot more real 😱
