We are decluttering and purging so much stuff in order to prep our house to sell. I gave away 2 giant trash bags full of DS1’s old clothes. We had been keeping them as hand me downs for future children but it took us so long to get DS2 it’s pretty pointless hanging on to clothes for 6+ years in hopes that DS2 or 3 will maybe fit into them in the right season and hoping they won’t look dated. H thought we should keep them but I feel my logic is sound. We still need to go through a lot more stuff in the attic but I plan to try to get rid of as much as possible.

We still have so much work to do in the nursery. I have been overwhelmed and stressed about it but I am starting to chill - we just moved and while we are pretty much settled, so much went into it and I've had to focus on my 3 YO, which is the way it should be. I am going to focus my energy on making sure my room is ready, since he will be in with us anyway for a few months. It will be done when it's done. Same. The nursery is currently a bunch of piles of baby stuff and a crib that's still disassembled. I should at least get my bedroom ready so we can have a space for the bassinet. We've been sorting clothes, so at least the baby won't be naked. Hopefully we can get things sorted this week/weekend. I'm not sure if we'll even have time to paint in there, which I'd really like to do. I told my H to just get the painting done and I will help with what I can with that, and then for him to do the flooring. The flooring won't take him too long because he's done it now a few times and using the same flooring and materials so it should only take him a day once he gets the carpet out. We have all the furniture already, it's stored. So at least by the time he is here, if that's all that is left to do, I can live with that for sure.

DS still doesn’t have a room. At all. Waiting for the dang carpet to come in and then be installed so we can switch rooms around, order DD’s new bedroom set, etc. We have 10 weeks. We can get it done. At least, that’s what I’m going to keep chanting to myself.

I am not happy right now. I had a couple gushes of blood this morning so I am in the hospital. Doctor is admitting me overnight for monitoring and to get my steroid injections just in case anything else happens. Baby is acting completely unfazed at this point so I’ll take that at least.

There is so much left to do! Our crib is also disassembled, but we are missing some important screws so we should probably get on that.
I feel like my house is finally starting to come together. The kitchen, dining, and living rooms are finally clean. DS1’s room has been rearranged and it’s almost done being organized. Same with our room. I still need to finish organizing the nursery, and the pack n play is set up in our room... but I need a replacement mat for it. It’s not flat or firm anymore. It has this weird, long lump across the middle of it. Not safe.
I know B barely used his crib so his mattress should be ok, but I’m still slightly paranoid about reusing a mattress he probably jumped on a little, and I know I laid on it a couple of times. I don’t know why I’m more paranoid about possible sids this time around.
Other than that the bathroom needs a good scrubbing and I need to update a few places on my new health insurance. I have so many calls to make today.

I ended up at the hospital yesterday.. I was on a mission walking around the house getting things done when suddenly my foot made contact with one of B’s toys. It slid across the hardwood floor like we were on ice and I completely wiped out. It happened so hard and fast that I was in shock. Once I processed what happened I couldn’t stop crying. Thankfully I hit my side and not my belly, but I still called my OB and they had me go in to get checked out.
Waiting on the ultrasound felt like forever. Baby wasn’t moving as much as usual so my brain was freaking out. The tech was very serious looking and didn’t give any indication on whether it was good or bad news. I was supposed to go home after and keep my appt for Weds, but she ended up calling the doctor and they fit me in. Hence more waiting and freaking out.
Thankfully Lucas and I are ok. My fluid is a little on the low side so I need to chug water, but the risk for placental abruption has gone down since I’m out of the 5 hour period. I need to call and ask about my blood work to make sure it doesn’t indicate I need a repeat rhogam shot.
I’m really sore and bruised today but so thankful. I’m glad it’s a new day.

notelsie wow I’m sorry that happened. The fall I had a month or two ago sounds much more minor than yours and I still burst out in tears as soon as it happened— it’s terrifying! I’m really glad they checked you out thoroughly and I hope everything continues to go well. The fact that you’re out of that 5hr window is great. summerrain I’m sorry to hear that! I’m glad you’re being monitored closely and I’ll be thinking of you guys. Keep us updated!

summerrain oh no! I will be sending you lots of good vibes! Keep us updated. I remember those steroid shots hurting a ton and bruising my butt. notelsie I am so glad you and LO are doing ok. Did they draw labs for fetal blood mixed in with yours to detect if there was any abruption? It’s great that you are out of that 5 hour window. The risk lowers every day after that.

Thank you <3 Yes, they drew for that yesterday. I’m going to call here in a sec to make sure it came back clear. My OB said he hasn’t ordered that test in years. He said he rarely ever gets rh- negative patients, and it’s even rarer that they fall down. I just need to slow down. Lol

notelsie yes to slowing down though I know with other children to care for that’s practically impossible! I had a placental abruption with DS2 after I was in a car accident and had to have the fetal blood test done several times. I hope the rest comes back clear!

I have to go in for a repeat rhogam They say it’s fine since it’s within 72 hours, but it freaks me out. Does that mean I’ve had an abruption without actually bleeding? They probably would have said something about a repeat ultrasound if they were worried, right?

I am 8 weeks out from delivery and no one at my work has mentioned my leave nor who will be covering for me when I am out. Last time this was already decided. I do work remotely now so am sending an email to my boss today, but damn people.

Thinking of you, summerrain. I hope it's nothing major and you're able to keep little one chilling in there much longer! I'm sorry for the scare, notelsie. Glad you and baby are ok though and hope you're able to get a little rest!

Add me to the uncomfortable club. I toss and turn all night, even the half unisom isn’t helping much anymore. Going to try going to sleep on my own tonight and taking the unisom at my first wake up/pee time. Baby girl hangs out so low and make me pee All.Night.Long. I am in full nesting mode and feel like we are mostly ready. Planning to move the almost 3 year old into his new room/bed tomorrow. I am super emotional about it and also terrified. I am hoping I don’t lose my good sleeper/napper. Hey all!! I’ve been lurking but not posting for awhile. Hoping to get back into following everyone again!! Good luck! We redid my almost 3yo DD's room a few weeks ago and she's actually been sleeping even better and is finally on a decent nap/quiet time routine. We kept her in the same room, but switched out all the furniture and got her a low twin loft bed (she was in the converted crib toddler bed). Fingers crossed your transition is as easy as ours was Thanks! I hope it is smooth and easy. He is a pretty good sleeper so it has me freaking out that it will get messed up. Did your daughter start climbing out of crib or you decided it was time so you could use crib for new baby?

She never climbed out of the crib, but we took the side off to make it a toddler bed with a guard rail maybe 6 months ago because she was driving us nuts with standing and screaming in her crib at bedtime and night wake-ups and it felt like we might as well try it. We toddler-proofed her room and put up a gate to keep her in and she did pretty well with the initial transition to toddler bed. The new big girl room/bed a few weeks ago was so we could use the crib and dresser for the baby (and her room needed a serious re-do anyway, the walls were ugly taupe and sage green that came with our house when we bought it when she was 5 months old).

My guy is going straight from the crib to a full sized bed. I kept wanting to put it off but feel like we need to get the transition out of the way now so we aren’t dealing with it after baby arrives.

summerrain How was the overnight? Still okay? notelsie I hope everything’s still good with you & you’re not too sore today! I managed to slip and fall on the stairs again last night for the second time this trimester (we are fine), woke up this AM to a broken washing machine, and I think I’m coming down with the strep throat that’s being passed around DS’s preschool class. I kind of want to give up and cry, tbh.
