Should we start a health and fitness thread again? I’ve been sucking and gained some weight. Let’s do this!

I started the workouts of 80 day obsession again. I stopped because it got to hard with training for a half marathon. I haven’t done much working out since the half.
I’ve been dealing with a sore shoulder. According to my chiropractor I have a pretty nice knot so I’ve been working at that.

I'm here. I am back on the spin bike every other day and we also just got an infrared sauna, so I've been sitting in that for 20-30 minutes after doing my workouts.

yes I need this. Trying desperately to get back into it and struggling with work-life balance. I would like to try couch to 5k and some of the fit girl workouts.

I'm here. I am on week 4 day 1 of Liift4. I did not get out of bed to do it today because H was snoring like a monster. I lost like 2-3 hours of sleep. I am also training for a half marathon. I will run 3 miles tonight. I guess I will be doing week 4 day 1 tomorrow - so I will be a day off for the week. There goes my 1 rest day I take... I run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. I lift and do hit on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

I wanted to do that liift one but I would have had to pay even though I have the all access pass (spoiler it’s not all access) I guess it comes out to all access people in October or something

I've been struggling trying to find time to get work outs in. Tried mornings, didn't work. I'm going to try either when H gets home or right after M goes to bed. I really need to find a way to get it in my day, I saw a picture of myself taken from the side this weekend and I'm really not happy.

I hate the funk that comes with seeing a picture that doesn't jive with the internal picture!

I'm not digging my mom bod right now. I need to do some core work. Maybe seeing motivated people here will help.

armpants, the only way I can find the time is after the kids go to bed. I really don't like doing it.. ever.. but it's the best option. I find it helps to change into my workout clothes right when I get home or before I bathe the kids (so I'm ready to just go after kids are in bed). If I worked out in the mornings, I would have to get up at 3:15 AM and there is no way in hell that's happening.

armpants, can you do stuff on your lunch break since you wfh? maybe mid day is best. i found mornings work best for me, it was just too hard after dinner, before dinner, or after kids went down. But it's not easy to get up so early. I have to force myself. It takes awhile to form the habit but keep trying, keep forcing yourself, you will get there.

got 2.5 miles in last night before the rain came - there was thunder and lightening the entire time. So i was .5 short of my 3 mile goal. I might try to run 3.5 tomorrow to make up for it.
Got chest / triceps in today. holy hell, burnout with pushups is so.damn.hard.

I recently got a standing desk at work and I've been taking advantage of getting some leg workouts in throughout the day. I got some short resistance bands and I've been doing a lot of sitting and standing workouts with them. I love leaving work having my core and legs sore. I feel like I'm getting something done

Got a workout in on lunch. I think that's what's going to work best for me. I'm focusing on diastasis recti workouts since my abs are totally shot.

3.1 miles in this morning. although i am convinced i am running more since i am on a treadmill...and it only calculates per the speed it's set at, but in theory, i can actually be running faster...does this make sense? i mean, it did to me at 5 am....

I'll be getting my period in the next day or so and I'm feeling it. I don't want to do anything extra, and I want to eat all.the.things. I also wore wedges today for the first time since... spring(?) and my calves are already feeling it so I'm going to try and get some resistance band workouts in early today.

I do know what you mean. Here’s what I know, when I use my watch on treadmill mode. The distances are typically the same (within .1) but occasionally the watch is faster than the treadmill. It’s nrvr off by much. When I use the indoor track it definitely think I’m running slower and I base this on my pace compared to running outside and my watch taking longer to beep it’s been a mile even though I’ve met they “run around x times to equal a mile)

I’ve gotten up early the last two days to workout. It’s been nice because after I get that done I tidy the kitchen and make lunches. Including getting Isaac’s backpack ready for school. Then I eat breakfast. I do all this while listening to an audiobook. Love audio books!

I choose sleep over my program this morning. i have caught the crud that is going around the office and needed to let my body rest. I still feel guilty for skipping it. But I do have a race tomorrow so I need to be rested up.

Workouts going good. I’m skipping the beachbody workout tomorrow. I’m having shoulder issues and it wouldn’t be a good idea. That workout is intense. I might run or walk though

Hi! Can I come here too? I’ve mostly been hanging out in the Monday Motivation thread on GD, but I am here for this. Training for my marathon in November, and also trying to shed about 10 lbs (which my fellow runners might know is actually really hard to do while training.)

Popping in to say great job to RunsforWineandCarbs! And coconutbacon, you are doing NYCM right? Solidarity on not being able to drop lbs. while 'thon training. I'm just trying to build some mileage. I'm running the Ches Bay Bridge 10K in November, just hoping to run it in under an hour (first half is uphill!) I also have 10 lbs to lose but I'm not going to try until V is mostly weaned. She's only 7 months now so no rush. I'm doing about 12 miles per week now, so nothing major but enjoying it! I'm hoping to do some double Bob runs during the week after school once the weather cools and the rain stops. One day it will, right?!
