I did 17 push ups off of my knees. I haven't done that in years. I was ready to go for 20 but something popped so I put my knees down for the last three 😬

ETA: I Googled. Yes, we do those in P90X too. Not a fan.

Legs done. Buddha squats can go to hell. I actually saw a video from another trainer saying that those are really bad for your knees. She suggested subbing in split lunges with your back foot on a chair. So I did that today. Still really challenging but my knees didn't pop.

I'm deep in meal prep right now. I made two pounds of vegan protein burgers, a huge container of roasted vegetables (peppers, Brussels sprouts, pearl onions, eggplant, mushrooms and carrots), sauteed a Costco clamshell of spinach and made curried lemon lentil soup for my lunches. Working on yuzu marinated salmon for dinner, and red curry chicken meatballs for tomorrow night.

I did cardio flow this morning. That was way more challenging than I was expecting and I cant imagine doing 8 reps of each exercise by phase 3.

Not digging the diet so far. I may need to shift things a little.

Okay, so this is the first diet I've tried (with serious intent). I'm also trying to calculate my calorie intake and use their serving sizes.
It looks like I'm rather low on the calorie side. Like 100 calories from the low end.
I'm also feeling rather hungry in the morning because my workout is at night.
Should a grab an extra carb or veggie for my meal option 1, 2, or 3? I'm fine at the end of day, but horrible in the morning.
I want to say yes, but I also dont want to add it if I should just push through the first week and it will get better.

I'm not really familiar with the diet portion, other than I know you get a certain number of each color container. I would probably add an extra protein over carbs, just because it is more filling. And honestly I probably wouldnt limit veggies, unless it is corn or potatoes. I'm a volume eater and like to eat a lot of veggies because they are low in calories, filling and I can eat a bunch without feeling bad.

I feel like I'm so far behind by doing the program every other day. I finished day 8 this morning, total body core and I was exhausted by the end. Round 3 was tough and my kids woke up and were distracting me.

So I have been slacking with the diet and staying on schedule with the workouts. Finishing up my summer class and both of the girls birthdays just took up all of my extra time. I just going to keep going with phase one and not re-start since I'm finding most of the weight training kind of easy. I'm told phase two gets harder.

I got my butt out of bed early this morning and got day 11 out of the way. I did flute bridges off my bench with a dumbbell because those bands are just too easy for me.
