For those who are planning to go back to work and bf-ing how much milk are you pumping and freezing. I don't have a huge milk supply and have been pumping as much as I can but I'm curious as how much anyone else has built up.

I'll probably give my mom 15oz/day, so three 5oz bottles. That's what my son had for most of the time I was pumping. My freezer currently has 10oz in it because I hate pumping. I also don't go back until October so I know I have time to build up my freezer supply.

F had her 2 month appointment today! She’s been a little grumpier and eating more than normal, I think for comfort. But I took her in the pool for the first time today and she loved it so that was a nice distraction for her. And it soaked off the bandaids so win win! She’s 11.2lbs and 22.5in. Solid 40th percentile for both. She was right about 65th at 1 month but I think she’s finding her curve. The dr was happy with it.

itsmemeg how is work going? Is she taking a bottle? I go back Monday. She did half days Monday - Wednesday this week. She didn’t really nap at all and she only took a little bit of a bottle each day. So better than nothing but still not good. I’m hopeful that a week or so of them trying will get her in the swing of things. It’s just hard because i will have to go nurse her since she isn’t taking full bottles but at the same time I don’t want her to get used to me coming and therefore never take a bottle if she knows Mom is coming

I currently have around 116 oz. she eats every 2 hours about 4 oz. I figure she might eat 5 times at DC so she needs about 20 oz a day. My supply dried up around 10 months with DS so I hoping to have a larger supply in the freezer this time around.

We were having issues with his weight and my supply, so for a long while I was pumping after every feeding and giving it to him. We've actually just been at a point the last 2 weeks or so where we aren't doing that. But, like I said, I'm off for another 10ish months, so really all I need is for an occasional night out or something so I'm really not super concerned with creating a huge stash :-)

I don't have a huge milk supply and have been pumping as much as I can but I'm curious as how much anyone else has built up. I had an undersupply with my first, but this time around I think I probably have an oversupply. I had to pump after nursing for the first few weeks per pedis orders and I never figured out how much to wean off that so I’ve been pumping twice per day since then. I have probably 550 oz pumped (I go back in 2.5 weeks). This is way more than you need. As others have said, you really only need enough for the first day. Mine also struggled with taking a bottle which I found ironic. He’s doing better now with the lansinoh momma- not awesome, but at least tolerating it.

I despise pumping, but I had a bunch of appointments in July, so I added a morning pump session for a few weeks to have fresh and frozen milk available, so I have about 100 oz stored up. I didn't respond well to the pump once I went back to work with V, and he was on a bottle strike most of the first year, so a LOT of milk got thrown out. I went through everything I had frozen very quickly and then had to supplement with formula too. It was so stressful, I'm not looking forward to regular pumping again at all.
ETA other details

Pumping is the worst and I’m not looking forward to working and pumping again.
The talk of how much of a stash to have made me look at the pumping part of the app I use (it still has all the information from DD1) and I pumped 4,182.25 oz for her over the course of 14 months. 😳😳😳- I had a major oversupply issue with her though and I ended up donating close to 800 oz.

I have about 500 Oz. I've been pumping once per day since she was about 4 weeks old. Now that she is sleeping 10-12 hours straight overnight, I've been pumping for comfort before bed as well. I go back 50 % October 1st and full time November 1st

I don't have a huge milk supply and have been pumping as much as I can but I'm curious as how much anyone else has built up. I’m not worrying too much about building a stash. With DS1, I froze enough to cover a work trips that lasted 5 days (150 oz???). I would pump around 4 or 5 AM when I could get a high output (and replenished by 6 it 7 AM) since my supply was very close to what the baby needed. For my first day of work, I probably had 20oz ready. ETA: I eventually found that my frozen milk or fresh milk that was more than a day or two old was high in lipase. Even though DS would take it, it grossed me out so I was glad that I didn’t build s huge stash.

I nicked DDs finger while clipping her nails today 😳😭 Poor thing only whimpered for a minute but I still feel like shit over it. ETA: I don’t know how to add photos on mobile but it’s a pretty bad cut. I must have done the same because one of DS’s finger looks a little inflamed and tender.

All of them lol Nuk, tomee tippee, avent, Dr browns, munchkin latch, playtex, mam, mimijimi, hevea, comotomo, and other’s i cant think of. We are currently using Lansinoh momma as it seemed she does best w those. She used to do good w munchkin latch before her ties were released.

Maybe she needs a slow flow or one for older babies. With DS from the first attempt he would only take the medela nipples that were 6+. I hope she takes a bottle soon for you.

My big kid started preK-3 today. All the feels. I hope he does well; it’s a big change for him.
Definitely don’t hate that I got to shower before the baby woke up & now I’m doing laundry uninterrupted while he coos at his activity mat.

I pumped twice a day for a few weeks and had about 300 ounces when I went back to work. I didn't need all of it, though. DD currently drinks 4, 4 ounce bottles at daycare. She is there from 6:30-5:30. I always take 5, 4 ounce bottles in case I get stuck at work or in traffic. I don't want her to go without.

Just went to bring in the zantac prescription for F and brought my mirena prescription in at the same time to get a price. Our insurance still doesn't cover it so it's going to be $436. Uggggghhhhh
