This week is flying by for me. I have really started to feel pregnant lately. Last night I stood at the sink and did dishes and my back was killing me after 10 minutes, just aching. It's so hard to not do everything I'm so used to doing all the time.
Along those lines, I've decided that I'm taking a break from school after summer semester. I'm due in the dead middle of the semester and I'm going to want to spend every second with DD and this baby, not worrying about homework/tests. With the way the deadlines fall, I'll likely have to sit out spring semester too. Most of me feels a huge wave of relief that I get a break to spend with my babes and focus 110% on them, but a tiny part of me feels like I should push through and not take a break. But school will be there later, my babies need me now. Sorry for the dear diary post, I just needed to get that out somewhere.

Morning. I need to go to the bank today and for a walk in the park. I had some Braxton hicks yesterday, so I'm trying to keep hydrated and rest as much as possible. Baby is kicking up a storm this morning. We have a realtor coming over on Saturday to talk about listing the house. That means I have to clean. I hate cleaning.

thatgirlrachel I think you made the right choice about school - I know I would have made the same decision. mkrupar Sorry about the cleaning As for me - today was good. DS had his last day of nursery school and gave his teacher a picture he "drew" (just scribbles). She was such a special and caring teacher, with whom DS really formed a close bond. We're going to miss her for sure. Fingers crossed his next teacher is just as good! I feel like my abdomen totally stretched and grew more in the past 2 or 3 days. When I saw myself in the bathroom mirror - I was surprised by how much more I've popped out. Maybe the stretching created some room inside and my heartburn will ease up a little? A girl can hope

thatgirlrachel, isn't it a relief to have that decision made?! And you are right, school will still be there, the babies are babies only a short time. We are going to storytime later this morning and probably a Walmart stop since I forgot to buy milk at the grocery store yesterday. Making rhubarb crisp, doing some dishes, and then water table fun on the patio are on deck for this afternoon... all while relishing my 24 week status today! Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

I legit opened this thread and said "it's not wednesday!" but I guess it sure is.
I think my bump is still going backwards (getting smaller) so I may or may not grace you all with a bump shot today. Decisions, decisions.

Taitai, I appreciate you saying that! And yes to popping out lately. I was looking back at pics from when I was pregnant with DD and between weeks 24-27, I *really* popped. And it's already starting to happen again. I'm using it as an excuse to enjoy my comfy, stretchy maternity clothes! thecatsmeow, It really is such a relief. I knew I made the right decision when I felt immediate relief with the choice. Also, happy 24 weeks!! Woo hoo!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hiiii! I've been MIA for a few days (and still am too lazy to get to my laptop and connect my avatar) but I'm here today!
We've been having some success with potty training DD when it comes to pooping so that's been promising. We had our anatomy scan two days ago and I was so grateful everything seemed well. We had a little private reveal with DH and DD and then we are revealing to our family and friends next week while we are on vacation in Vegas.

I'm having a weird iPhone situation and I'm wondering if anyone can relate.
I've had this phone for a year now. My autocorrect seems to have a life of its own and will change normal words or phrases to complete nonsense. It will also throw in punctuation that I'm clearing not accidentally hitting because I'm on the letter keypad.
WTH. Is my phone possessed? Anyone else relate?
ETA - anyone tech savvy and know if you can wipe out your autocorrect and start over?

thatgirlrachel Must feel like a relief to have made that decision! rebeccabunch I feel like my iphone is very inconsistent with autocorrect. It's never good, but sometimes it's really weird and other times it's just annoying. I thought autocorrect was supposed to be smart and learn what words you use more often, but mine seems to get dumber as time goes on. Taitai Aw, so sad to say goodbye to an awesome teacher. Fx your heartburn gets better!

This week is dragging. I have been REALLY slacking at work and need to turn it around.
FFWC: Last night I tried to stalk my OB on Facebook and Instagram. Have I mentioned she's a badass lady and I have a woman crush on her? Anyway, I found someone by her name in our city who looked exactly like her, but her entire feed was these beautiful yoga pics. And I'm talking advanced yoga, like handstands and crazy poses. And 75% of them were on the beach. So I was like, "wow, she really has a life outside of being an OB, but how does she travel so much?" I finally decided there's no way it's her, and she must have a doppelganger.

It's so dumb and I hate it and I don't know how to fix it.

I usually find that thousands of other people have the same problems as me and things like this can be fixed with a quick Google walk through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

riverraine I also stalked my OB on FB. She's pretty private and rarely posts but I learned she really likes pugs.

So far an easy day at work so I've got a few personal things taken care of.
I'm going to a baseball game on Saturday. I bought tickets for my family and I totally thought I bought them on the shade side of the diamond. Nope bought them is the sunniest part and it's supposed to be really hot on Saturday.

Hey hey! Busy week over here. I'm volunteering as a crew leader for Vacation Bible School at my church this week, so I've been doing more lurking than posting lately. It's been going pretty well. I have to get DS up in the morning in order to be out the door in time, but he's been really good so far (he goes to nursery during the 3 hours). I'm in charge of around 10 2nd graders, along with a helper, and it's been a fun/exhausting 3 days so far. Today they poured freezing cold water on me during our game time, so I got to go through most of the day in wet/damp clothes. The kids had fun though, so, worth it!

I remember someone was talking about the TDAP and their OB talking about giving it before 3rd tri... I asked my OB and she said it's later in the 3rd tri that it's given.
Getting closer to H being home and also excited about taking a mini vacation just the 3 of us...

Tried belly wrapping for the first time just a bit ago. So far it feels really nice on my lower back! I want to try some different styles of wrapping to see what is most comfortable, but I should definitely do this more often, especially since I work from home.

I'm supposed to get it at my next appointment at around 28 weeks.

arimaythea, the belly wrap is so pretty! Glad it's providing comfort, I'll have to look into it. thatgirlrachel, it was a tough decision but it sounds like you made the right one. Glad you're feeling good about it and enjoying time with DD and baby. rebeccabunch, I'm terrible with phone stuff, I usually can find the solution on Google or I just make an appointment at the genius bar. riverraine, the internet is made for stalking and I totally look for all of my doctors. The last 4 weeks I've been traveling every weekend and work has been busier than expected. DS is at my parents' house this week, so it's been nice to have some quality time with H and time to myself, but work is nuts. Our anniversary was over the weekend, so H and I had dinner and saw Wonder Woman on Monday and we're doing date night at a nice restaurant tomorrow. Getting ready to leave work now and stop at Target to get father's day cards. Hoping that I can stay more connected here over the next few days.

Is this a whooping cough concern?

It's nice you have time alone with your H. Plus busy means the pregnancy goes faster. I never wish summer away except when I'm pregnant.

rebeccabunch it won't let me quote your post. But they say we pass immunities to the baby in the womb. Nurse told me getting it earlier allows more time for baby to get (more/better?) immunities. I think.
