XP from TI/IUI since I'm sort of straddling the threads at the moment.
Had a saline ultrasound today and all looks good, that was the last test before we are cleared for IVF. Need to call the coordinator tomorrow and get a preliminary schedule set up. H is OOT until Sept 1st so we'll plan for retrieval that first week. Not looking forward to doing all the injections and dealing with everything myself, boooo.
Hopefully all goes as planned and doing it all on my own won't be too dreadful.

charliefox I started this process with a major needle phobia. The very first shot I had to give myself, I had to sit down because I felt faint. After that first one, it’s honestly been no big deal. By the end of stims, I was timing myself to see how fast I could do the mixing and injecting. I do not do the PIO shots though. I’ve had my H do those (with a few guest injectors when H wasn’t able to do it). bonzo Yay!! Sounds like she had a great response. Are you able to fertilize all of them, or are there restrictions?

jacks, I've done a few trigger shots so I think I'll be okay. Just sucks having to handle it all without a support person (H will be away doing Army training so we won't even be in contact much). I'm crossing all things for a fresh transfer and to avoid PIO!

jacks, we’re doing a split cycle, so we get half the eggs. I think we can fertilize up to 20, and then PGS up to 8.

Well, I'm a little nervous. Today was my Day 5 ultrasound (Day 6, technically, but before Day 6 stims). There were around 18 follicles in there, but I think the largest ones were 10mm. Some down around 6, so a little small. We'll see. I'm waiting for instructions to come this afternoon. I go back in on Monday. Scratch that, just got told to come in Tuesday instead. 😶 Any updates? Crossing all crossables!

I'm just sitting here- hanging out on lupron. I go in for my final TET on the 21st. If she can't get into my uterus... our journey is finished. If she can, then we are set for transfer scheduled in September. Good luck on the 21st. The waiting is so hard!

Update on our journey. It’s not a positive one. I think we’re done for good. Our one embryo came back missing chromosome 22.
While we haven’t talked to the doctor, I’m at peace that this is the end for us. I know I haven’t been on this board long, but this is 2 years of trying for our 3rd and all our numbers are just so low. I can’t keep dragging this out as it’s wearing on me in such a big way. I went in to this round of IVF as kind of a last hope (and with so much faith that it would work) and with a low AMH, 3 eggs and 1 blast, it doesn’t seem likely we would get better results if we try again.
I want to check in and see lots of graduations and I’m sending so many prayers and support to you all. Thank you for all you’ve done to support me through this.

H has given his sample, and now we wait! I’m not sure if we’ll get an update this afternoon, or just tomorrow. But we’re close to having some embryos! charliefox, at last count, she had somewhere over 25 follicles of good size. Previously, she has had something like 50 and 46 mature eggs. I’m guessing with that many follicles it gets hard to see them all on the ultrasound. bex15, yay for transfer! mrsklm, I’m sorry you’ve had to make the decision to end your journey. It sounds like you’re at peace with it though, which I think means it’s probably the right choice for you.

I don’t think I ever updated from my appointment on Monday. Everything looked good and they actually had my biopsy results back already. Results came back as non-receptive so they’re adding an extra day of PIO before the next transfer. I’m tentatively scheduled for the next transfer on Aug 1. It is with a different doctor because mine had all his appointments booked that week. I’m hoping something will open up because he had no difficulties last time getting in. After my horrible experience with the biopsy, I’d prefer to stick with someone I know.
I’m really hoping this works this time. I’m pretty burnt out right now.

I'm so sorry mrsklm I hope retrieval goes well bonzo! AFM, Doctor wants to keep everything for next cycle. I'm going to repeat my blood work next week, H doesn't have to until October. We're good to go next cycle, so until then I'm enjoying fun summer drinks and trying to lose as much weight as possible before next transfer.

Are the other half for her or someone else? Thinking of you today! jacks, FX something opens up for your doc.

charliefox, yes, this is her third donation cycle. And both previous donations resulted in pregnancy on the first transfer! The other half from this cycle go to another couple at our clinic. So her third donation makes families 3 and 4 that will have received her eggs. jacks, FX that extra day of PIO makes all the difference! wineandcake, FX the next transfer works!

They aspirated 12 eggs today and seemed happy with that, but I was a bit discouraged. My first ER two years ago yielded 24 eggs initially, so I can't help but compare it to that. However, none of those 24 eggs yielded a pregnancy past 6 weeks, so I'm trying to think positively that perhaps this will be a matter of quality over quantity. I will get a call tomorrow for the preliminary fert number, but won't hear anything until Day 5/6 for the final number being sent off for PGT.
