My pediatrician told me that green can also be a sign or foremilk overproduction. This can happen if your baby is a) not eating long enough to get to the fatty milk or b) your body is over producing. Yes I thought it was this when it first started. Unfortunately concentrating on feeding only on one side till I’m totally empty hasn’t helped and in the last few days she developed other symptoms of dairy intolerance such as spots on her skin, dry patches and recurring nappy rash that isn’t a typical type. The watery nappies certainly made me think dairy. The more I read about it the more it fits, especially given she started with bad reflux as a newborn which I immediately thought was odd. I’m so sad if it is an intolerance, such a burden for her. We’ll get her tested ASAP and see what comes of it. My son also had dairy intolerance and I suspect E does too. Happy to help answer any questions if you decide to go dairy free

I went to the bathroom when J woke up instead of getting him out of the bassinet right away. When I came back in the bedroom I still heard him fussing, but didn’t realize DH had gotten out of bed and was holding him until I basically ran into them. Unexpected man in front of the bassinet-
Well I’m 100% awake now haha.

Gemma is not burping MOTN. I leave her swaddled to feed her and put her on my shoulder afterwards, patting her back and nothing. I guess this isn’t a big deal? She just always burp during the day so it’s pretty weird

But then those burps usually are spit up and then she’s awake

DS went from giving us a 5-6 hr stretch to kick the night off and then up every 2-3 hours to waking up every 2.5 hours and then wanting to be up for good at 4. I’m exhausted. I hope this is just a growth spurt or something and he’ll go back to stretching his night feeds. I definitely can’t do this once I go back to work!

I've pretty much stopped trying to burp L MOTN mostly because I forget. She doesn't seem to feel any ill effects from it but has also gotten better at burping on her own.

F rarely burps at night either. I'll burp him and nothing, but then I'll lay him down and sometimes he'll burp. Also, we had a great night last night where he slept from 12 to 4 and then 4:30 to 8. If we can make this our normal I'll be happy.

He actually woke up for the first time at 7, but I cuddled him up and he fell back asleep so he couldn't have been that hungry.

We actually got our first decent stretch. From 10-4am. I can’t wait for a routine to start shaping up. Right now there is still no rhyme or reason to her sleep.

E was hard to get to sleep last night. Finally fell asleep around 10pm but had 2 wakeups from 10-11. At 11 I had DH come and hold her In the nursery rocker. She slept on him for an hour then he put her down. She didn’t wake up til 8am!! What?!?!? My boobs were rocks. It will surely never happen again though.

DS's sleep was shitty last night, so all those naps yesterday didn't help. He must have slept like 6+ hours during the day yesterday, which is unusual for him. Hoping today and tonight are better.
I'm also thinking of getting some sort of woombie or similar thing because he likes having his hands up, but unswaddled is too free and he doesn't sleep as well.

I would have been up so many times in anticipation of her being up. I am creating a monster I know it, because DS will pretty much only nurse to sleep. But his sleep has been okay enough that it's not a drain on me. We'll fix it all with sleep training (my motto).

I’m trying though to start nursing her but not let her fall completely asleep. We have not succeeded yet lol

I learned a valuable lesson tonight about disturbing Fs schedule. We stayed later at the campground with my parents, which means that I didn't do his shower until just now (9:45), when we normally do it at 8. Between being overstimulated from so many people loving on him, and then having his schedule screwed up, he worked himself up into a good fit where he wouldn't settle and just kept screaming unless he was nursing. Which sucks because I have stuff to get packed, and H isn't even here right now to give him a bottle so I can get some time.

Zipadee-zip went well. DS slept his normal amount but seemed more restful and less squirmy. He was starting to fight the swaddle a lot and just seemed grumpy in it. He looked so comfortable being able to have his arms up. I have hope!
We will see how naps go today in it.

We left yesterday on our road trip. Drove 7+ hours and then stopped for the night. We went out and got supper and then came back to the camper and F and I did our shower and I fed him, at which point we were both passing out so we went to bed fairly early (before 10). F woke up at 1:30 to be fed, and I just gave him a bottle. He passed back out and then so did I... Without pumping. He woke up at 4:30 again for another feeding and I had boulders on my chest. I managed to get him to latch, but not before I sprayed milk all over the bed, the pillow, both my clothes and his clothes. So we both got changed at 5 in the morning, after which I pumped and then we both fell back asleep until almost 7. With any luck, I won't be nearly as tired today (going to try to take a nap) and won't mess up like that again. Ow!

DS is still doing his annoying up every hour from 4am on. So this morning after his 4am feed I put him in the swing and he slept until 630, which I'll take. However, I don't want to have to put him in the swing every morning to get him to sleep, I just want to kind of reset him from having to be up and eat at those times.
Anywho, if you made it through that, how many days do you think I need to do the swing thing to maybe reset him? I am thinking I will try 3 and see how it goes from there.
