I realized after riverraine mentioned her A/S we didn't have one of these for this week.

My US is Friday mid morning. I wasn't going to post one of these because I did last time and that sucked but whatever! I'm feeling confident. I'll be very nervous Friday but there is nothing I can do to affect this outcome.

I'll be very nervous Friday but there is nothing I can do to affect this outcome. This feeling is totally normal. I didn't wear my "bad luck underwear" until like 15 weeks. Hang in there, good scans will come!! Fx for Friday

I have a fetal echocardiogram today so they can look at baby's heart. It's routine for all IVF pregnancies I guess, I'm still not clear on why IVF would cause heart issues but okay. I'll take the extra look at baby and the (most likely) reassurance that her heart is perfect.

I had a regular OB appt this morning. It was uneventful except I had to wait FOREVER. Dr said heart beat sounded great and I'm measuring on track. Had thyroid labs.
They gave me the glucola drink for my next appt, so yay for that. </sarcasm>
They also said I'll get the TDaP vaccine next time. I questioned the nurse since I had it towards the end (36 weeks?) last time in 2015. She said they just changed the recommendations to have it done earlier instead of late third tri. Anyone else hear about this?

Anatomy scan update: She's still a girl and everything looked good! They did find an echogenic intracardiac focus on the heart, which my son also had at 20 weeks. It can be a marker of Trisomy 21 but since my Harmony results already came back low risk and there were no other markers, my OB isn't worried and said it basically changes nothing. It's not considered a heart defect and doesn't present issues beyond birth. Having gone down the Google dark hole when this happened with my son, I'm really going to try and avoid that and not stress about it.

Before:
When: Thursday afternoon
Type: Everything, it seems like! Cervical length U/S, followed by 1 hr glucose at the lab, and then regular OB appointment.
Feels: So, so nervous. Today I am at the same point in pregnancy where I ended up in hospital and on bedrest with DS, so I am very anxious about what my cervix will measure on Thursday. DH asked if I am packing a bag just in case. Thanks... that is so reassuring...

Appointment is on Thursday morning!
Anatomy scan!
Feeling nervous but wa reassured by the tech 2 weeks ago that they would have seen something wrong by now if something was wrong (had little mini anatomy scans at 16 and 18 weeks). Hoping for no surprises and also hoping to see that cervix is still cooperating!

AYA - After Your Appointment How was it? It went good. Strong HB and everything looked good on the a/s Learn anything new? He's as stubborn as his sister. Just wanted to stay in one position and make it difficult for the tech to get all the pictures she needed. New feels/vents/etc.? It still doesn't feel real yet... When is your next appointment? 7/10 for a regular appt

AYA - After Your Appointment
How was it? Pretty good! Baby is growing right on track and measuring in the 50th percentile across the board. Organs/brain all look good. My cervix isn't shortening, which is also nice. One sch near my cervix is now gone, but there's still a large/medium sized one on the uterine wall, opposite from the placenta. Still have debris in the amniotic sac too.
Learn anything new? I don't have to be on antibiotics anymore, so that's good! Other than that, keeping up with progesterone suppositories and prenatal vitamins - drinking LOTS of water too. Just hoping to make it to 24 weeks without my water breaking. 2 more weeks....
New feels/vents/etc.? Nah - same old worries, but every week that passes gets us closer and closer to viability/take home baby, so I'm grateful for that.
When is your next appointment? Next week for another MFM monitoring appointment.

Sounds like you went through quite a lot with the pregnancy for your DS, and I wouldn't wish hospital bedrest on anyone! Fingers crossed you don't have those same complications with this pregnancy.

cythe, how did your fetal echocardiogram appt.go? It went well, totally uneventful which was good. Heart looks like a heart and blood is where it's supposed to be and supposed to be going. Tech gave us some 3d pictures - which I find totally creepy even on my own kid. They're nice to have though:)

A/S was this morning. Everything was fine and we're still having a boy. He was such a squiggly little thing. It was great to see him because I haven't had a real sono in 2 months (a month ago was only a cervix measurement and I just saw his head). Cervix is still long and his weight is average which I'm happy about. DH kept scaring me saying he thinks the baby is going to be huge! The MFM scared me a little when she kept focusing on his heart and turning on the colors so she could see the blood flow. I don't remember them spending so much time on it with DS. But then when she was done she said everything looked perfect.
