riverraine I saw in the Monday Randoms you have your A/S today. Good luck! DD has decided to scream at the top of her lungs the past two nights she's been put to bed. She will only fall asleep if your holding her. She's usually a good sleeper... is she sick, hot, a sleep regression? I don't know I just hope that when I get home from work tonight she's in bed sleeping soundly already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

riverraine FX for a great a/s today! Lazy day for me today. A little laundry, but nothing else planned. It's going to be really gross and hot here, so trying to stay cool. Making Mexican pinto beans this morning, and my kids lost my can opener.

Morning! Good luck riverraine!! DD's birthday is today, so we're going to visit my dad later this morning. If it's not skin meltingly hot out, we may go to the park.

riverraine FX for a good a/s today! Potty training is going well but I'm going stir crazy hanging out at the house so we're going to head to the store and maybe get lunch somewhere so we can practice using other bathrooms... and so I can interact with other people. It's supposed to be ridiculously hot so we'll probably just do water play at the house this afternoon.

Good luck at the a/s today riverraine! The in laws are taking DS on a trip today, about 3 hours away, and staying til Thursday. I was so breezy about it until this morning. And now I'm paranoid they won't remember sunscreen or teeth brushing. They hardly ever babysit and he's never spent the night at their house, so that's probably adding to my worries.

Thanks for all the fx, guys. DS woke up exxxtra early this morning so I'll just be here drinking coffee and waiting. August Blooms Fx for better sleep and less screaming tonight. curmudgeon I hope you can enjoy your alone time but I'd be stressed too about leaving my DS with the inlaws. Although we've done it before for 2 nights and it turned out fine!

They are also taking him to an amusement park and hotel swimming pool, so of course I'm playing out the worst case scenarios that can happen at each. Deep breaths. He'll be fine. I'll be fine.

Our office cleaning lady told me this morning that I looked very pretty and had the glow. That was a great way to start to my otherwise dreary day. It's another rainy one here. The bright side is that hopefully the rain will prevent H from working some and he can get started painting the nursery.

Howdy~ just popping in to say hi. Work has been crazy, but this is the last week of the "busy season" for my job. Our customers' yearly reports are all due by midnight this Thursday, so things should calm down once everyone has officially reported. I took off Friday to help use up some of the overtime I've banked over the past few weeks.
Should be a fun weekend though! Will probably do something with my mom on Friday, then going to the aquarium with an A15 mama on Saturday, then celebrating Father's Day by going to see the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and out for pizza after. We are also finally meeting my sister's boyfriend, whom she's been dating for over a year now, so that should be interesting!

The first time we left DD with my dad for an extended period (a week right before she turned one) I wrote out an extensive list of things I wanted to be sure he remembered. My parents live a couple blocks from us and watch my boys a lot so they don't need the instructions but my ILs came in from MN to watch the boys when we went to Vegas and I typed up a four page manifesto. Most of it was where to be when with preschool/t ball/swimming/music etc but it was lengthy. It made me feel better and they appreciated it. curmudgeon are they only watching your DS or are their other grandkids on this adventure? I'd be a bit nervous too because of the water but they will likely have a laser focus watching him! He's also just 4, right? So they will need to be in the water with him which would ease my mind. I'd probably make my husband text or call once to remind of water safety and then try to enjoy the peace in my house! This sounds like a special trip!

Morning ladies, I think I'm 100% less whiny today than I was yesterday. However it's only 10am so who knows!
Not much planned for me today, just chilling and waiting to see if H makes it home before my appointment. He took the AS off, so this is really irrelevant compared to that, but it would still be nice to have him there.
Anyway, have a good day everyone!

mkrupar Happy Birthday to your DD! DS had an exciting day at school - the ice cream truck man came (as a special treat because it was the second to last day of school). DS picked out an orange dreamsicle and his teacher sent me the funniest picture of DS holding the treat with this totally confused look on his face. He's never had a popsicle before and I think he's only tried ice cream once. I'm sure the ice cream man visit was a revelation for him! When DS got home from school, I asked him how the ice cream was, and he said "Brrrrrrrr!" Hahahaha - so cute.

Things have been hectic. I cleaned all day on Saturday to get the apartment ready for the open house. Then DH and I decided to walk to McDonald's Sunday morning. It's not that far and walking there was fine but the walk back is all uphill. Clearly we didn't think this through. It took us twice as long to get home and we were drenched with sweat as the temp was already 10 degrees hotter than when we left. Lots of people came to the open house and we got one solid offer that was way more than what we were expecting. Like $10K over asking. So hopefully all his paper work checks out and I can close before this baby comes!

H's aunt takes her grandson every year. He's also 4. And this year my in laws decided to join and asked to bring DS. So it's 4 adults and 2 kids. He's been in swim lessons for 2 years and can swim the length of the pool alone, and we also bought him floaties which he loves too. So that eases my mind a little. We talked to H's aunt also about keeping an extra eye on him and she was very understanding.

Headed out of town for work today. I won't see DD until Friday morning and it's giving me the sads.
I'm having terrible back aches. Anyone ever get a referral from their OB for a physical therapist or massage therapist during pregnancy? Will they do it over the phone (if at all)?

chitownsully, I'm with you on the back pain. I can't help with the referral question because I'm seeing a PT for something else and she'll help with my back, too. I also see a chiropractor. Maybe reach out to your OB and your GP and see what they say? Hope you find some relief.

I think I need a belly support. I didn't use one last pregnancy, but after all the walking I've been doing I'm needing some extra support.

chitownsully, I definitely plan on trying belly wrapping as well. I don't think I'm quite to the point yet where I need the support but I am starting to notice some soreness after being in one position for a while, so hopefully I can find a good wrap method that helps.

Luck must be on my side. I put jalapeños on everything I can...including my pizza. I could eat all the spicy foods when pregnant. SaveSave
