I am going shopping today for baby things! We gave our nb-6mo clothes away, so I have to try and remember how much I should have. I'm excited to pick out some tiny baby things

Sorry I haven't been around. We were visiting my sister this weekend for my niece's first birthday. My parents, grandfather, and aunt were there, too. We had lots of fun at the beach and seeing DS with my niece warms my heart. My sister just found out she's expecting, due in February. I'm so excited for her and her family. And excited that our little ones will be 4 months apart. Now I'm going to go and catch up on the threads I missed this weekend.

Morning! It's a rainy Monday here, but I'm 24 weeks today so making the best of it. H, DD, & I had such a good weekend together that it was hard leaving this morning. Is it too early to count down to when I start my maternity leave?? mommabakes,Have fun! I have been picking up things here and there when I catch them on sale/clearance. I have had luck at Old Navy, Sam's, and even Walmart recently (Walmart didn't advertise the sale prices but a lot of their brand of Carter's sets were $5 when I price checked).

We just got done with our speech therapy for the week. Early Intervention used to come to daycare for DD's services but with summer they'll come to the house - at 7:30am! I didn't realize she got serviced that early but I guess we are up and ready for the day now!

Oh and a big WTF to the checkout lady at Walmart this weekend. She looked at my belly and said "when are you... " and then didn't finish it. I know what she meant by the eyeing of my belly and so whatever, I told her October she replied with a "oh - you still have a ways I guess."
I didn't really have an appropriate response to that...

Happy Monday everyone! I had a nice start to the week, although for some reason I've been having really bad heartburn and nausea at night. I've resorted to sleeping in more of a sitting position (propped up with lots of pillows) which has taken some getting used to. Oh well, maybe it's a sign this baby will have lots of hair like DS did. DS had soccer lessons today and dribbled the soccer ball through an "S" shaped maze of cones and kicked a goal all by himself. DH took a video for me . So proud of my little guy - he's really improved a lot since we started lessons back in late 2016.

Good morning ladies. I'm about to devour some fruit loops which makes me all sorts of happy.
I have my fetal echo tomorrow with MFM, but I have a question. Can I ask the nurses/doctors there any basic OB questions or concerns I have? Or are they gonna look at me like I'm creepy for asking them about vaginal discharge?

cythe Like was for the fruit loops. You can definitely ask them OB questions! I go to an MFM exclusively now, due to all my issues. For DS, I also had an MFM. They are highly trained should definitely be capable and willing to answer any questions you have about your pregnancy. The nursing staff should also have the same training (if not more) than a regular OB office and will be happy to answer your questions. I say go ahead and ask - MFMs are really knowledgeable and as long as you are at the office you should take advantage of their expertise!

I don't think I fell asleep until about 3. and I'm pretty sure I got the sinus thing that was going around. Ugh.

My OB has an office right below theirs but I'm already going all that way... it's nice to know I can just ask them. I just didn't want to roll in there and ask gross questions and have them tell me they can't help lol.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We went on a long walk yesterday in the 90 degree heat. I could literally feel my fingers swelling. I panicked and took off my rings and handed them to DH to wear for the rest of the walk. Buh bye rings for the rest of this pregnancy!!!

thatgirlrachel, we had a really good weekend, too, and it was so hard to come into the office today! I feel you! Fx the day goes by quickly! Taitai, my Like was for your guy's soccer skills, not the heartburn and nausea. I hope it goes away for you! I hit 24 weeks yesterday. It is so unreal how quickly this pregnancy is going. We really need to get some stuff done around the house to prepare for this baby!

+1 to this pregnancy flying by, CoachTsWife. We are actually moving January 1 and our current house doesn't have a room for baby #2. So we are doing absolutely nothing (aside from MAYBE purchasing a dresser to store his things for the short term) to prepare. So it's really just a waiting game now.

My nanny needed the day off today so I'm off too. The boys are getting haircuts now then off to Nordstroms to get their summer sandals. I feel like we are accomplishing a lot this morning!
My H got back last night so he got up with the boys today. I'm convinced that if I could sleep until 7 everyday I could solve the worlds problems and never complain.

Hey! We went to the park earlier for a walk and DD passed out on the way home and is napping now. I'm happy for the break. I hope it lasts another hour. Lol

This weekend flew by so fast! And today is DS 4th birthday!! I feel bad he has to spend it at daycare so we got a cookie cake for the class and filled his bedroom doorway with balloons and streamers. I'm getting so tired of people asking me how I'm feeling. Maybe I'm easily annoyed (hence the screen name) but omg to every person I see asking me this. I'm fine.
I've also been on the phone with IT for an hour and a half and they can't fix my stuff. I have work to do.

I used this two hour and counting IT call as an opportunity to stuff my face with chips and queso.

With DD I would get the 'how are you feeling' all the time. It drove me bananas! I'm not getting it too much now. Probably because I avoid social encounters. LOL.

Ah ha! When pregnant with DS we lived out of state, so never saw family/friends/etc. So I never got asked. Now, I will be talking to someone and before they answer back they tilt their head, give me a concerned look and ask how are you feeling. I'm annoyed just typing it.

Why do people ask you if you've decided on a name if they're not prepared to lie/make a b.s. statement if they don't like it?
"We've decided on Evelyn" "Oh"
Really? Oh?
