I'm celebrating year 37 today. If my Sadie dog is doing okay, I'm planning to go out for brunch with my sister in law and out to dinner with MH.

I have a question for the ladies who have done Whole30... how hard is it? I cook every night already. Is it easy to eliminate everything? I feel like as long as I have my coffee I’ll be okay. H and I are both wanting lose weight. He’s starting at the gym across the street and I’ll sign up after I get over this cold or whatever I have. I’m also thinking it may be a good thing for J. If the severity of his reflux is allergy related, maybe this would help? I tried dairy free for a few weeks and didn’t see any improvement, but may this would work. 🤷🏻♀️

A friend from college, I’ll call her J, her husband recently came out as transgendered and is in the process of transitioning. I’ll call her N. I fully support the transgender community and it seems like they have a very supportive family. But I can’t stop thinking about it. Like, what would I do if my husband sat down and said, hey jedi, I’ve been dealing with this my whole life but I’m transgendered and I want to transition to female. H and I both know N. I mean my H lived on the same floor as N in the dorms. When N made her announcement on Facebook I was surprised. I mean N was very quiet and shy. I keep thinking, how would I feel in J’s situation. What would I do? Be supportive for sure but what else would happen? Stay married? Divorce? Would we still sleep in the same bed?
How brave and honest N is. A great example for her children,

My dog just had another seizure and then I found out that MH forgot to give her medication this morning. I'm so angry.

mrspiatt, I have done modified W30s that include legumes ( bc I don’t eat meat). The first few days can be very hard if you’ve been eating a lot of bread/ pasta/ sugar, or if you’ve gotten into the habit of a daily drink. My post holidays W30 I had a major headache for a couple days. But now it’s really mostly the way I eat, with occasional cheats. It can be a good “reset” to get on track with healthy eating.

mrspiatt I have done the whole 30 a couple of times. Gets easier every time. Pinterest is the best for ideas! I also figure I can do anything for 30 days! Seems manageable!

She seems to be doing better today! She is still sleeping And I am working from home which is awesome. I work so much better early in the morning so it's nice to get my 8 hours out of the way by 2 and then relax the rest of the day. I have already done half the things on my list.

2 seizures yesterday but H forgot her morning meds. She seems a little better today. The Phenobarbital has side effects. We are monitoring to make sure she still has dignity and quality of life.

But it also fundamentally changed the way that H and I ( and the kids obvi) eat. I’m really happy with it, but would adjust for future whole 30 months
