It's raining like the dickens here...not surprising, because it's the rainy season, but I can already see the streets flooding. So glad DH is done running errands for the day and not out in it! When we're all home, I actually like the rain (provided the power doesn't go out) - feels nice and cozy. I think DS will sleep well tonight - he always does when it's stormy outside.

Morning. DD is playing with her blocks and I'm trying to get her to come upstairs so I can get her dressed and we an go get breakfast. I have to swing by the party store for some serving bowls for chips. Her party is this afternoon, so little odds and ends before that starts at 2pm.

I'm flying to the next province over with my parents and my sister for my great uncle's funeral today. Leaving at 9am, back at 10:20pm, it's going to be a long busy day!
DD and the dogs are staying with my ILs for the day and DH is at my soon to be BILs bachelor party.

Up early because I'm back to work tomorrow. Got the bedroom cleaned, got my coffee and doing some errands. Right now I'm chilling in my car waiting for shoe store to open so I can return some shoes I got for DD. I'm already dreaming of dinner, I'm thinking kebabs on the BBQ with grilled veggies and a baked potato. I told DH to get DD ready to go do something when I'm done with my errands. Damn it's only 24 C but I'm dying of heat, that's 75 for my American friends.  |

My sympathies doodlemommy hope you have safe travels and the day goes as smoothly as possible. Quiet day planned here. This week has been crazy and I feel like I just need to sit down and do nothing today... well, as much as my now two-year-old will allow. We celebrated his bday Wednesday by doing all the things. Carnival, zoo, playground, visiting cousins, pizza, ice cream, and presents. He had fun, I was (am still) exhausted. |

Quiet day here so far. Working on some laundry and cleaning up a bit. DD is currently in her crib fighting a nap and once that's done we are heading to buy paint for the new nursery! So excited to finally be getting started on it!

DS decided 4 was a great time to get up for the day. I should have napped when he did, but my parents and sister were here and I didn't want to be rude. Unlike in Oct when I'll be like, "bye yall"!
Other than that DS also got his hair cut today. He looks like such a little boy. 😢

Not much excitement here - we are in Day 2 of potty training DD. Day 1 went awesome but I was not naive enough I think we were finished. Day 2, as expected, has been a bit harder. I think she's been more distracted today but we are going to keep on keeping on.
Baby has been a bit more active lately. I can feel her kicks on the outside occasionally but can't get H to feel them yet. I love feeling movement. It's my favorite part of pregnancy - I don't care if the kicks happen at midnight and keep me awake all night. Its also super nerve-racking when the kicks stop for long periods of time. I'm not freaked out yet but I remember with DD making myself crazy about counting kicks later on pregnancy...

What color(s) are you doing the nursery in? Any theme or decor in particular? trinitrotoluene Cute! I have zero creative ability. Do you enjoy other types of crafting?

I just made 100 dumplings/potstickers for dinner and stupid me stood the whole time in the kitchen. Now I am putting up me legs while watching everyone eat. 😤
