I’m going to order mizon collagen firming eye cream because the price is right and it got good reviews on amazon (whamisa reviews were just ‘meh’ on amazon, too). I’ll report back! I love this one. It is very emollient without being heavy. I use it as my night eye cream to plump up the fine lines.

Have you guys used Biore essence sunscreen stuff a year later? Just wondering if it’s still effective, I barely used any last summer
I love my Rosette ceramide gel (bought it on Amazon for less than $20)

I just looked at my tube, and it's all in Japanese, so I can't really figure out what it says. I suppose you'd really find out if you used it and you noticed the sun getting through more easily than before. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Which do you feel needs more attention right now - your lips or more hydration for your face?

Which do you feel needs more attention right now - your lips or more hydration for your face? Probably my lips. I usually use aquaphor, but I feel it's not enough. I've never heard of a lip mask before but I figure it's worth a shot.

That reminds me. How long do you use a product before you decide if you like it or not?

sheilathetank I think that lip mask looks great! Lemme know how you like it. I am lame and just use the baby aquaphor healing ointment, but I think getting a new lip mask that smells nice might be a fun treat for myself. That cosrx sleeping pack you linked also looks amazing...my skin luuuuvs honey. I am on a moratorium from buying more sleeping packs though. I have to use up the Sulwhasoo one I have, which I totally love. In terms of your question about trying new products, I normally have a pretty good idea whether I like something by 2-3 weeks in. If it immediately causes a rash or breakouts or something, I'll stop using right away though. Only BHAs and AHAs cause purging, so any new bumps/acne or redness with a new (non-BHA/AHA) product = bye bye right away for me.

I've been lurking for awhile but I have to thank everyone for these tips. Especially that Reddit thread about removing grits. I tried that this morning (and half-assed it because the kids were tugging at my legs) and still managed to get some out. Impressed!

I've been doing the double cleansing for a good six months now and really like it.
I use a Dessert Essence oil cleanser. I'm pretty meh on that so I ordered that Banila zero purity that was recommended upthread.
I use the CosRX low Ph as my second, foamy wash. I've been happy with that. I was getting a lot of weird texture on my face for awhile after I had my last baby but the double cleansing with those two products resolved that.
In the morning, I follow that up with a Vitamin C serum, CosRX Galactomyces, and CosRX Birch sap moisturizer. The vitamin C and Galactomyces have definitely worked well to improve tone, and the birch sap lotion is just perfect for daytime and wearing under makeup.
PM: double cleanse, Galactomyces and CosRX hyaluronic acid moisturizer.
A couple times a week I do the CosRX rice mask.
I haven't done a sheet mask yet but I'm kind of intrigued by them. I do have the CosRX AHA/BHA toner but I wasn't sure I could use it while pregnant so that's just taking up space ATM.
Last week I ordered the Laneige lip mask and a few things from The Ordinary (EGCG eye cream, Buffet, and lactic acid) so I'm excited to try those.

cagoldi Welcome and yay for getting out grits!! It is so satisfying isn't it? I love all your cosrx stuff - so much of what you listed is on my want to try list. I think cosrx and Sulwhasoo are my favorite AB brands...and the cosrx price point is soooo nice. I'm not 100% sure about the Cosrx aha/BHA toner ingredients list, so please double check this, but I believe that toner doesn't actually have any AHA/BHA in it. It's more of a prepping toner which lowers the PH of your skin after cleansing, in order to get your skin to the right PH level for actives post-cleansing. It functions similar to the Mizon AHA/BHA toner. Again - please double check the ingredients list - but I believe that means you should be able to use the Cosrx AHA/BHA toner while pregnant. If it DOES end up containing AHA/BHA on the ingredient list, then I'd ask your doctor what she thinks about use while pregnant or nursing. My doc was pretty strict and told me to avoid AHA/BHA while pregnant.

I can't breastfeed, so worst case scenario it just sits there 7 or so more weeks until I can start using it. But now I guess I need to find an *actual* AHA/BHA toner if it doesn't have any after all. Yes, that cleansing method for the grits was seriously a revelation! I forgot to mention I use a Neogen product too, the green tea pads and I absolutely love those. Thanks for all the great tips in this thread.

Another thing on my wish list. I wonder if they'd be good for travel?

Ive been using the banila cleansing oil for a week now and I’ve noticed I have been getting breakouts on my chin. Is this common? It is def possible to get breakouts from oil cleansers. I have only used banila Clear it Zero purity- the balm kind. No experience with other banila oil cleansers. Does it have mineral oil in it? That can cause clogs and breakouts for some. The non-Purity one (pink color) can also cause reactions for some. I'd take it out of your routine and see if you notice an improvement in a week or two. Do you have any other new products that could be the culprit?

So I’ll just trial and error with it. Only other thing I’m using different but i started a week before the oil cleaner is Thayers non scented witch hazel.

They're very refreshing. The scent is so light and pleasant. I threw some into my hospital bag so I could use them during labor if I need a distraction for a few minutes.

Hello! This is my favorite thread. I love all of the newcomers, and sheilathetank, it makes me happy to see all of your updates. Taitai, I like the neogen pads too, but I’ve only tried the red wine. They’re also good for when I need to exfoliate but feel too lazy for an actual scrub.

Gross funny story- so you know how I never get grits when I clean my face, except the one time when I got a few? So I thought I was probably doing it wrong. Anyway, we ended up traveling for more than 24 hours and when I arrived at my destination I passed out (I didn’t even brush my teeth.) I thought I was going to get a quick nap, but slept almost an entire day, so it had been like two days since I washed my face, plus gross travel and stuff.
I woke up and wanted to wash myself first thing, so I started with teeth and face, and my face had SO MANY grits. It was seriously gross thinking about how dirty I must have been at that point. TMI?

Thanks thisbitch. 😊 This reminds me to update that I got the lip mask in the mail yesterday and used it las night. It went on pretty thick and I could still feel it a little bit in the morning. When I use aquaphor it's gone by morning. I did feel it moisturized my lips so I'm going to keep using it and see how they look in a week. I'm tend to bite my lips when I'm anxious so they get really roughed up. I also went to Walmart and picked up a coconut jelly mask and a donkey milk sleeping mask. I'm not sold on the jelly mask. I don't think it really did anything. It stung a little when I put it on but it didn't leave any marks or redness. The sleeping mask however rocked my world. I used it Sunday after doing my normal routine, then the egg white poor cleansing mask, and a sheet mask. When I woke up Monday my fine lines above my eyebrows were essentially gone. They are still nearly invisible today, unless you get right up to my face. I didn't know donkeys had milk, but I think I'm in love with it. Best of all there is still enough in the packet for a second use. 😁

I splurged today and ordered the One Love Organics cleansing oil since the banila zero purity wasn’t working out for me. Also got the One Love Organics love springs eternal youth serum. I already use their eye balm and love it, excited to try these.

sheilathetank, you can definitely do a one time order. That’s what I did. I don’t have a subscription, I just ordered a ton of stuff from the clearance page. I might even have a coupon code, lemme check and I’ll BRB. ETA: my coupon expired 3/15/18, sorry.

For everyone who gets grits, are you wearing makeup when you oil cleanse? I don't wear makeup so I wonder if that is the reason for my lack of grits.
