Mental health wise I was on a good upswing for a couple of weeks. Starting a few days ago I'm back down to where I normally am. I'm really hoping that the new meds and therapy help so that the up becomes closer to the new normal. On the bright side, I'm getting better at recognizing my symptoms and realizing when I'm having good and bad days.

We went to my mom's for breakfast, and then I worked, and then came back to my mom's for supper and strawberry shortcake. And then we'll head home for bedtime.

I took the kids to the zoo with my mom and had a picnic. I then made a trip to target alone. Dh is still very uncomfortable and unable to walk or stand for long periods so I made him stay on the couch. Do not need him stretching this out.

I don’t think I posted about dd3s trips to the doctor last week. She has a swollen knee and we don’t know why. After X-rays and a few rounds of blood work over two days we are at a wait and see point unless she spikes a fever. At 11pm she woke up crying with a 103.6 fever. Obviously we are headed to the clinic again today. It dropped with Tylenol last might or we would have been in the ER. At the moment we are between it being a septic joint (??!) or juvenile arthritis. I’m trying to stay calm. Medical stuff sucks.

She couldn’t walk when she woke up today. She’s walking now with a limp, but it took a few hours. Watching her try was heart breaking.

H had signed up for a potential summer school class to help with the load in the fall. Many of his classmates campaigned for this lab to be given in the summer but then nothing happened. Or so we thought. We got home from vacation yesterday. H logged on to his school account today to check his grades and sees that the summer school class has been scheduled. It starts tomorrow!! And I have no care for dd lined up. Cue the freak out!! 🤯

scorpioscuba I’d trade you childcare for sure. Ugh. How can a class just start like that?? Is it a night class? Maybe a neighbor kid can help out for a few days?

dizzycooks, i'm so sorry that's happening! Please keep us updated. hope things go as smoothly as they can, scorpioscuba! we are back from our trip. it is always a little stressful to visit the in-laws and we had a hard travel day yesterday with bad weather. but, overall, everything went well. dd had a good time and we all got some quality time in together. I am happy we only make this visit once a year or less though. eek.

I cobbled care together for dd until school for DS gets out and my sister and niece are available. My mom took a couple days and I’m trying a new babysitter for 5 days. I’ll be working from home for a couple of them to see how things go. Once school is out my niece is taking over and the kids will looooove that. If it were a night class it wouldn’t be an issue. It’s M-F 9am to noon. 😳 I’m not sure how much of it was last minute or H just didn’t realize he got put in the class until too late since we were on vacation and he didn’t have his computer. It’s always something. Any update on dd3 dizzycooks?

Sorry I have been MIA - I am so thrilled that you’re still here!! Life has been crazy. Last weekend I had a second miscarriage at 11 weeks. We had already seen our perfect little gummy bear at our nine week ultrasound and he looked so cute and perfect. When I woke up last Saturday morning I started having contractions and ultimately lost the baby. I have been home all week. I don’t know how I went from two easy, textbook pregnancies to having two miscarriages. I have a follow up in two weeks with my OB. I am also going to see an RE to get a full medical work up. I only have one more attempt left in me. Each mc is just so heartbreaking!!

theoprah I have been thinking about you lately. I wanted to reach out and say hi but I thought you would pop in on your own timetable. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet baby. I know nothing I say will make it better but please know that we are here for you if we can help in anyway. I am so very sorry to hear this news and wish I could help. I hope you are able to take the time you need. Thinking of you.

As much as I love the longer days right now, we are once again in the hell that is known as MY KIDS WILL NOT GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT. Last night they were both awake until 9. Yesterday Dd2 woke up at 6:30, and took an hour nap from about 12 to 1, so it’s not like she had too much sleep during the day. Dd1 was the exact same last summer, and now I have two like this! We have blackout shades in their rooms, so I don’t think it’s light in there keeping them up, I think it’s more of a circadian rhythm thing. I’m trying to go with the flow and not fight it too much, but man, I need more chill time in the evening than this is currently providing.

DD is sleeping around 9-6:30 at night. it makes me worried she's not getting enough sleep but i've tried everything to get her to bed earlier. i do need to try some blackout curtains. we put a blanket over our window and it seems to help (classy! ha). I also need to get her big girl room ready and see if she will ever sleep anywhere but our bed she does sleep through the night. i'll just try to focus on the positive here it's hard because i lay down with her to help her fall asleep and then i don't feel like doing anything but going to bed.
