I'm buying a birthday cake for a party in Colorado. We have limited time to pick up cake and get groceries and a couple of other errands so I'd like to pre-order a cake at a grocery store bakery to make it easier.
We're not doing Costco because we're not members and it's not worth it to sign up just for this or Whole Foods because we're not made of money.
From what I can see, the area we'll be in has a Safeway and a King Soopers (wtf). So which place has better cake?

King Soopers is generally terrible. I'd go with Safeway.

Not sure where you are in CO, but I would also recommend Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Thanks all Safeway it is.
Also, I googled Nothing Bundt Cakes and it doesn't look like they're close to where we'll be and we have a limited window for running around. However there is one a couple of miles from my house apparently. ADDED TO THE LIST. So thanks for that tip too.

King Soopers = Kroger, if that helps.
Safeway is better, but I find their buttercream very heavy.
Nothing Bundt Cakes is very good.
Depending on where you are headed, there are some great options around Denver and the Springs.

If you don't mind the cake not looking like a traditional birthday cake, KS does a chocolate on chocolate cake in their "gourmet" section that is insanely good.
