I wonder if anyone else I did BBM with want to join. Kida regal @tiffbot jubilantsquirrel I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of people. Are the maintenance videos on You Tube? I'm interested! I haven't been doing great with workouts since BBM ended, so I need to do something. Yes they are! I'm enjoying them, and I like not having the pressure of a work out every day that I'm trying to follow along with. Kida this is a general work out check in thread. I'm doing the BBM Maintenance series right now. Everyone is welcome to check in and share whatever they're doing.

Hi everyone! Can I join in here?
I work out 3-4 times a week. I do a lot of cardio (running) and some strength mixed in most days too. I've also started going to Orange Theory classes! They are killer (my quads were dead for 5 days after), but I think I'll get the results I want.
Not trying to lose weight - just maintain in a healthy way. I use MFP and aim for 1500 calories a day, weekends are more relaxed.

Oh! And I signed up for MFP. I need to get my eating/drinking under control. You're on a roll! Keep checking in here - it's been a great motivator for me.

Thanks for sharing that squat challenge tjr42, I think I'm starting that tomorrow. No problem. Good luck! She has a push up one, too. I'll see if I can find it. I thinks still saved in my news feed.

I got up early 2 days in a row to workout! I feel like an effing rock star! Today I did a short (18 min) total body strength workout and day 2 of that squat challenge. I'm going for 3 days in a row (I'm hoping that if I say it here, it'll motivate me to actually get up early & do it!)
That pushup challenge looks really hard. I start so many of those and then fall off after a couple of days, but I may have to try that one next.

@rocknroll, how have your results been from BBM? I've wondered about her routines since I saw the group doing them on TCF.

@rocknroll, how have your results been from BBM? I've wondered about her routines since I saw the group doing them on TCF. Really good! I did her 6.0 90-day challenge with the TCF group. I'd never worked out so regularly before so it was a big motivator. The routines are challenging, she's really relatable, and I now feel sooo much stronger and more capable. I highly recommend giving them a try! You could start with the mini challenges if you're not sure you want to commit to 90 days.

Thanks @rocknroll ! ETA - I love your siggy gif. MH and I say the "beads-bees" thing all the time now. Especially now that our 5 year old is into making jewelry. There are beads everywhere.

I found it to be motivating too. Just "what day are we on?" or getting home from work saying "56 today!" Kept it going. The routines are as easy or intense as you want. Too hard...modify. Too easy go faster/increase the weight.

I got up early to workout again. How many times in a row before something becomes a habit? I did 30 min of HIIT with Jessica Smith.

Awesome @winomite! My gym has spin but I've never been. I'm totally intimidated by it.

Has anyone here heard of Class Pass? My co-worker uses it and I'm really interested.
You pay a monthly fee and you can make use of the various studios and gyms in your area without actually being a member of each one. So, Monday you can go to a spin class and gym A, Wednesday yoga at studio B, and Friday Barre at studio C. The only downside I can see is that you can't visit the same place more than 2 or 3 times (depends on which membership you pick) in the same month. And the passes are a use it or lose it type thing, so you can't roll over any unused passes into the next month. But it sounds like a great way to try out all the different types of classes that are out there.

Before you sign up, I would recommend googling deals. I got a new customer rate at 50% the 5-pack for first 3 months. Thanks! I'm definitely going to check it out. I was curious if places like Orange Theory were a part of it, but there are so many other types of classes I want to try that I still think it's worth it.

Just to clarify, Orange Theory and Soul Cycle are not on it at all (at least in my area), but I can't always get into some 6am classes, but there are 6am classes available. Make more sense? Ah, yes. I am pretty much limited to afternoon/evening classes anyway since I start work at 6am and I don't think it's physically possible for me to get up an earlier than I already do.

I've worked out a minimum of 30 minutes 3 of the last 4 days. I'm feeling pretty good right now. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Great job!

I finally started my weights again. Too many lame excuses but for now I'm just starting fresh.
And somehow I've signed up for a 10km run on Sunday and hopefully I don't run backwards into garbage cans like last year.

I managed to do 5 min abs and a 1 mi walk on Tues, and took a rest day yesterday. Today I did a BBM Maintenance routine.
I seem to need rest days on Wednesdays, so I'm going to try to plan on that so I feel ok with it instead of lazy.

Yesterday was 30 minutes on the Stairmaster, today was 30 minutes on the stationary bike maintaining 20rpm. Woof.
I'm looking forward to working out my shoulders and back tomorrow after that.

Just finished a strength workout. It's been awhile since I've done one. I usually stay in the high reps at a quick pace and use it as my cardio at the same time. I'm pleased with how it went...very pleased. Apparently those articles I've been reading are right. For the average person it really doesn't matter if you go low reps at higher weight or high reps at lower weight to build strength. It's just overall time under tension. Then again, I'm just an N of one. But I'm sold so far.

Embarrassing question: how do you all get comfortable at the gym? I have no problem working out in my garage but just thinking of hitting the gym by myself raises my heart rate.

Honestly for me it was by working out in my garage. Just get comfortable with your workout. What raises your heart rate? I was scared I was doing it wrong. So, I practiced before going. And remember the only people staring at you are the ones who are only looking to make sure you aren't looking at them. From the person who doesn't go to the gym and prefers the garage. 😬 If you workout in your garage, can I ask why you want to go to the gym? Classes? Different equipment?

I have access to 2 gyms at work and entitled to time off during the day to work out so I really should go. I'm just fighting social anxiety. I think I may just had to bribe myself into going at a quiet time.
