Gah Taitai I have another question *Hangs head in shame* I just got the Glow Tonic by Pixi. Do I need to wait any time after the Glycolic acid before my other products?

Taitai, I have a face oil from Sunday Riley with retionids in it. The bottle just says don't use while pregnant. I've been using it for several months now while still BFing my 2 yo. Is that a big no-no? I have friends who use retinoids while breastfeeding, and they said their doctors were okay with it. Some use pretty strong amounts too, like .5% retin-a. Some doctors are more strict and say to avoid it altogether while BF, but since your kid is already 2 yo, maybe there is a difference between that - and say - taking retinoids while BF a 4 week old? I'd ask a doctor to be sure, but my gut says that you are probably fine. Just make sure to wear a good sunscreen, as retinoids are photosensitizing! Also, I love Sunday Riley good genes AIO lactic Acid. Have you tried that one? It's so pricey, and I hate that I love it ðŸ˜

Easy to answer. Glycolic acid is an AHA, so you should try to keep it on your skin 10-20 min before putting on other products. General order for "actives" (treatment products with wait times) is: Vitamin C BHA AHA Retinoids/prescription medication Below is an awesome post about skincare order that I follow. It explains why order and wait times matter as well (due to ph). www.fanserviced-b.com/a-visual-guide-to-the-korean-skincare-routine/Hope this helps!

And I do use the good genes. Sephora sells a kit of the luna oil and good genes together at a palatable price. My skin is sensitive and sometimes I alternate them or just use a little bit of each, so it lasts me a long time. And always sunscreen. I am fair and freckled, so that is always a no brainer for me.

For me it was very important to have a look at what I was eating and also just using water to wash my face. I tried out so many different products that more harmed my skin than helped it.
