When is your appointment? I have two this week. Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
What type of appointment? Tuesday for regular OB and Wednesday MFM for growth US.
Any feels? Annoyed that I didn't schedule the appointments for the same day. They're both in the same location, and said location is about 45 minutes from my house, so it's annoying to have to make the drive twice.

Anatomy Scan at 21 weeks (even though we know we're having a boy).
Any feels?
I'm SO excited to see the lil guy. I went in a few weeks ago and they turned me down and said I was too early(at 18wks) to A/S, even though thats when they freaking scheduled me. So I'm still annoyed from that debacle. It's been like 6 weeks since I've even had an appt!!! He's been kicking a lot more recently which has been reassuring, but seeing him and making sure everything looks okay will totally put my mind at ease for awhile!

My long awaited anatomy scan was today!
Scan was good, the pushing on my ute wasn't so terribly fun. But we learned that baby is still a she, which was nice. Brain and heart looked good, everything anatomically was present and accounted for.
Baby is measuring in the 68th percentile, just shy of 1 pound. Oh, and unfortunately she has my husband's nose. Not the end of the world, mine is just much better lol

What type of appointment? Midwife and Anatomy scan.
Any feels? Excited for the scan, I can't wait to see the baby again and hopefully they will cooperate so we can find out the sex.

I have an anatomy scan on Wednesday. Sooo excited to see him again. I like early morning before work appointments so they scheduled me at 7:15am and I have to arrive at 6:45. What was I thinking.

cythe,If it makes you feel any better, my daughter was born with my husbands nose but once she got out of that alien/newborn looking phase it's definitely turned into mine

What type of appointment? A/S at MFM
Any feels? Anxious. Excited. Nervous. My other two children had some scary sounding things discovered at the A/S. Brain cysts for DD and only 1 kidney working for DS. I'm also excited to see baby for the first time, and with such an advanced US, I'm hoping to get great pictures. I'm not really connected to this baby at all, and I'm hoping this US will make it seem more real. Also hoping for a reason that I'm not feeling baby movements.

YAY for all the appointments! Can't wait to hear how they went!
At my practice they use 'Babyscripts' which means I weigh myself and take my blood pressure at home and the numbers are sent directly to my OB. This means I don't have appointments as often. I had my A/S at 19+4 and then my next one is at almost 26 weeks for my glucose test! I like not having to go in but hearing that heartbeat always eases the nerves.

When is your appointment? This morning at 19w1d
What type of appointment? It was supposed to be my anatomy scan but it got cancelled and rescheduled for next Monday which gives me mucho anxiety to have to wait another week, but I did get to see my OB today for a Doppler.
Any feels? See below.

How was it? Good but would have been better if I could have had my u/s...
Learn anything new? Baby's heart rate is 150, belly is measuring at 19cm.
New feels/vents/etc.? Just hoping next Monday comes soon enough so I can see this little person and find out everything is ok.

Need reassurance that baby is growing on track. He/She has been active in there so that was promising.

How was it?
Bubs measured average so that was good and relieved that everything checked out ok. Not so great with me though. Apparently my cervix was contracting and I felt nothing and measuring short so my OB is sending me back to the MFM to do more checks. I am home now and waiting for a call back to schedule an appt in the next week or 2. Also was advised to get a support belt. Meh! only half way through and the thought of pre-term labour is giving me anxiety. Also DNW to be on bed rest! just not possible.

Back to being paranoid and concerns now about pre-term labour and having to be on bed-rest.

mkrupar, bummer about the long drive, my OB is about 40 mins away too. The MFM is like an hour away which is a PITA. Hopefully I can get a time slot which will be suitable with my work schedule since it's in the same city so I can essentially kill 2 birds with 1 stone. moonandback141, that stinks about your cancelled appt. if it makes you feel better, they are able to get more accurate and better results the longer your wait I suppose.

AYA - After Your Appointment
How was it? It was ok. Standard OB appointment. I've gained too much weight for this early. They only want me to gain 15 total and I've gained 12, so it's going to be a rough 18 remaining weeks.
Learn anything new? They didn't tell me this at the A/S, but the OB told me the report showed a 2 vessel cord instead of a 3 vessel cord. If I wasnt already having extra monitoring they would have added in more ultrasounds. Nothing to be too alarmed about, just one more thing that can affect growth of baby.
New feels/vents/etc.? I'm a little stressed about the weight gain. I did only gain 15 with DD, but most was towards the end, so to already be almost there is frightening me a little. She also measured my fundal height at 24 weeks (I'm 22+2 today), so now I'm even more concerned about gestational diabetes for this baby. It's also not easy for me to just get out and walk. I live on a highway, so it takes planning to go find somewhere to get some movement in. I'll do it, I'm just whining right now.
Next appointment: tomorrow with MFM for growth US. Then July 5th for 26 week appointment and 3 hour glucose.

mkrupar, Is there a reason they only want you to gain 15 lbs? In general, that seems very much on the low side of the weight gain spectrum.

duskymonkey Sorry to hear about your cervix contracting and measuring short. Did they see any funneling? I hope your MFM is able to give you some reassurance and come up with a plan - preterm labor risk is always worrisome. Bedrest also sucks and I hope you can avoid it. Fingers crossed you get good news at your next appointment.

I thought finding out the sex would make me feel more connected to this baby, and it did for awhile, but now I'm in limbo again. Maybe because I dont have time to even think about being pregnant? We also made the mistake of telling people two of our top names and they detered our opinions now. I always feel like a name helps me connect more. I'm feeling very "blah" right now when I really have no reason to be. Thanks, hormones.

rachydc Don't let the haters get you down on the name thing! If you have names picked out that you and DH like, you should use them! I never understand why people feel they are entitled to give their opinions about a baby's name (when unsolicited for advice/feedback). It's not their kid and they shouldn't insert themselves - just be supportive. Sorry - this is obviously a hot topic for me. We keep our potential baby names at DEFCON 5, because our families are so weird and pushy about it.

I've never felt a super huge connection until the baby is born. I'm always so worried about everything working out. I care for my body and have concern for the inside baby but it's not til that baby is born and really afterwards that it sinks in.
When I was pg w DS1 I seriously felt like I knew something was growing inside me but it could be an alien for all I knew! I had more of a connection w DS2 I think because I didnt have all the bleeding concerns.
I wonder if this pregnancy (knock on wood) will be different because it took a more dramatic path it get here.

I don't feel really bonded or connected yet either. I'm trying to remember how it felt last time. I think the more I prepared for the pregnancy (buying baby clothes, setting up nursery) I started to feel more connected but still not really until he was born. I haven't bought a single thing or done anything to prepare for this one yet, so maybe that's partly it.

AYA - After Your Appointment
How was it? Good, my midwife was running ahead of schedule and we were early so she brought us right in. Makes up for the past few times where they were running late.
Learn anything new? I like to be informed and I find medical and anatomy things so interesting, she gave me a great answer to the question I asked. I also get at least two extra ultrasounds because of having low amniotic fluid the last pregnancy, they want to monitor the baby's growth.
New feels/vents/etc.? It was fun to being DD to the appointment because it was an easy one. It was so cute to see her when the midwife found the heartbeat. I'm not feeling connected to this baby but it's feeling more real.

the AS was fine. The tech took measurements and pointed out the legs/spine/face etc. It was mostly silent. I'm not a big talker so I just let her do her thing. They'll go over results at my next doctors appt. oh and she did a vaginal ultrasound which I wasn't expecting.

nope. She confirmed he was still a boy.
New feels/vents/etc.?
ditto everyone else who said they don't feel a connection yet. I didn't with DS1 either until he was born. I think it's still too abstract for me even though I can physically feel him.
ETA as soon as I posted the phone rang. I have to repeat the ultrasound because they couldn't get good heart views from his position. And they also estimate he's 13oz and 82% already. Big guy!
