lollipop I’d give a lot for a quiet night to myself so your former bday plans don’t bother me at all. Stock up on treats you love, find a chick flick or a good book and settle in by a fire. I’d love this right now.

I’d love this right now. I get 2 nights a week to myself. Mostly I don't mind, but I'm a little tired of being alone. And for my birthday or something like That, I want to do something a little special, instead of the same old thing I do when I'm alone every week.

I’d love this right now. This is me right now - if I ever had a night alone where I didn't have to work I would get take out, ben and jerrys, and watch bad TV. But I agree I would start to get lonely if I were alone too much. Happy Birthday lollipop, hope you have a fun sleepover!

Well, we're under contract on a house! It feels absolutely crazy right now. We are trying to close in 2 weeks. I'm also traveling 3 weeks in a row starting the week after next, then my H is gone for a week, then theoretically we'll move? I hope I survive it.

I’m glad you have plans with your friend now, but would your H miss his game night for your birthday if being alone was going to bum you out? Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOLLIPOP! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

theoprah - we had a few projects we didn’t have time to finish before we moved in - like some of the quarter-round trim between the floor and the baseboards still needed to be painted and installed. I also got a crazy burst of motivation to completely rearrange our living and dining rooms, so we got rid of a bunch of furniture I wasn’t into anymore and ordered a new couch, etc. We got A LOT done, but still have some more to do. I need to find some large scale art for a wall between the dining/living room and have no idea what I want to put there. Happy to hear a plan is coming together for your ds! That must take a little weight off your shoulders. You have had a lot of stress in your life lately, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed things start falling into place for you and your family.

And thank you 😊

My dh is home today! First day in a month. It's really nice, especially considering we got a call at midnight that our middle daughter was feverish and sick so I had to go get her from my mom's house. She's sick, but not awful. We spent most of the morning cleaning the house. I still need to clean the bathrooms and we have SO MUCH LAUNDRY to fold tonight. I don't even know where to start. I am working on my homework and sitting for now, but I am exhausted. Last night was rough. I'm really hoping dh doesn't work tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

kcrkcs how’s the horse? nellieoleson hope you’re doing well!! And feeling better! @crimsonsandclover are you getting caught up? Everyone healthy? Afm, I way over did it today, not sure by doing what, but I’m so sore, uncomfortable and feel sick. I don’t think I’m actually sick, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I started having contractions soon. I just feel icky. Baby needs to stay put for a while though so that makes me nervous too. Must figure out how to rest and relax.

dizzycooks still at the E clinic, but doing well. Hopefully I will be picking him up tomorrow although we are getting 12"+ of snow right now so maybe not until Monday. It was a good thing that I took him or he probably would have died. Fortunately they were able to do some things that avoided a major surgery. Thank god this whole thing is a very rare occurrence for me. I think it gave me an ulcer. Thanks for asking.

Work weekend was fun but I lay in bed awake until 4 am last night for no apparent reason. So tired. Im waiting for my flight back now.

dizzycooks, I wish there was someone who could come help you. Can you have someone else clean your house once or twice, before or after the new baby comes? I forget, have you said what your husband does? It's so hard on everyone for him to have to work every single day. nellieoleson, what kind of couch did you get? I've been trying to figure out what we're going to do with our new house. Our living room is a little bigger than what we have now so I feel like we'll need to add some additional seating. Also, what are people's feelings about window coverings? I think I want light blocking cellular shades for the bedrooms, but I'm thinking about just curtains (no blinds or shades) for the living room and dining room. My husband is unsure about this. What do you all have?

Amazing how you hear from people when they need you...my tenant hasn't paid her rent, but today she needs the garage door fixed, and to know how to pay her rent. lol. I wonder if she'd have said anything if the garage was still working?

crimsonandclover yes colic. Nephrosplenic entrapment which is something I knew nothing about. Basically a piece of bowel for no known reason decided to displace itself and get hook between the spleen and kidney and boom major medical crisis. Le sigh. Horses are such delicate beings.

Today was a long day. M wouldn't nap yesterday or today so she was freaking miserable, S was whiney. I'm tired because BFF and I stayed up late watching RuPaul's Drag Race. We went to my mom's, and I forgot that her cousin was in town so she was out with her, so it was just my dad and I and the kids for like 4 hours. And then my sister and her friend were (predictably) late getting there. So we ate late, then S wanted to play with my sister's friend for awhile, and I couldn't say no, because they adore each other.
The kids went straight to bed when we got home. Now H is playing an insanely annoying video game, all techno music and car sounds, and I'm just ready to explode or pass out or something.

One morning last week, one magical morning, dd2 slept until 6:30. I thought “Finally! All my dreams are coming true! We are finally turning a corner on this early waking, I can sleep like a normal person now, this is amazing!” Since then she’s regressed to worse than before and been up at 5:15 twice and 4:45 once. OHMYGAAAAAHD. I’m so tired! Stop the insanity!

Oh, and yesterday I realized I hate Super Bowl parties. I actually like watching the game, but would much rather watch from the comfort of my own couch, and with my own damn snacks.

I think just curtains would work as long as you can pull them all the way closed.

We still need to get a bed for DD... we’ve been procrastinating but still having the same issues that it takes forever to get dd down.
