scorpioscuba that’s good to hear. I am not a fan of tv, especially if I’m paying to you take care of my kids. Get creative. lollipop a cake stand tutu?? It’s the weekend again. I’m. Not even sure why it matters. At 3pm dh said he didn’t have to work and would join us for an ice festival tomorrow. At 6:30 he texted that he was on a bus home and would need to work tomorrow. He works Sunday teaching skiing again. I am SO thankful my dad is taking the two big munchkins overnight tomorrow. I don’t know when he’s bringing them back. Fingers crossed it’s sometime around 3pm Sunday. I need a break and just one Little is enough to keep me busy.

dizzycooks we're having a ballerina party, so I made a mini tutu to go around the cake stand that my sister is using for the cake. It didn't take as long as I expected. And I have the stuff to make more pom poms, but I just don't have the energy left tonight. Maybe tomorrow 😅

It’s party prep central here. Kids are in bed. I’m baking the cake. Had a minor caketastrophe that I think I rectified so things are humming along. H is putting together DD’s new truck. OMG she’s going to lose her mind!

dizzycooks, does your DH always have to work Saturdays or is this a busy season for him? I get angry on your behalf just reading it, anyway. Have you decided what to do about your teaching position? The DDs are finally over the flu (it was the real flu, not a stomach bug) and their ear infections are better, too. We're taking the weekend to relax at home and then hopefully we can get back into the regular routine on Monday. I have to work all day today since I can't take off sick from my freelance work and I got way behind this week because I was taking care of sick kiddos. Next weekend I'm on a work trip in Berlin and am very much looking forward to the adult conversations, quiet nights, and no one yelling at me to wipe their nose or butt.

I would love some adult time. He doesn't typically work Saturdays and he's only suppose to teach one set of ski lessons over lunch hour on Sundays. No one seems able to stick to that though. As far as my teaching position goes, I talked to HR and if I do resign I can reapply the following year and retain my seniority and pay, I would just have to interview for the job I'm seeking. Interviews sound terrifying, but I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world. I have 15 days to send in my formal resignation. It's so final! DH seems ok with it though and I am working on my real estate license so that's something.

L's first day of being two had some really trying moments. She got more time outs today than I imagined possible. She hit her cousin with a piece of her train track and pushed her eleventy million times. Then the next moment they are hugging and sharing a ride on the rocking horse. I hope today's behavior was not a preview of what this whole year will be like. Apart from that we had a great time with the girls at a bounce house.

The house was spotless until after the party. H looked at the playroom and commented that we can't even keep it clean for a whole day, so I said I'd clean it up after the kids were in bed. He goes "but you've been cleaning and cooking and doing stuff all day!" No kidding. He spent the whole time on the couch, talking to his parents and grandparents while I ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off, setting out food and cooking, and tidying as I went. /end rant

dizzycooks - I hope you get a break soon! And TV in Montessori is about the complete opposite of the entire philosophy! crimsonandclover - I am jealous of your grown-up weekend-enjoy!! Glad to hear that all the birthdays are going well!! We went to Mass and are now at McDonalds play place while DH works at home. These indoor play places are life savers on rainy winter days! We also will get the results back from DS learning disability evaluation this Thursday. I am really looking forward to hearing the results and making a plan for him.

I also bought a sapphire ring and necklace to remember our September baby. They are both beautiful and I know they will be a comfort to me. The ring is getting sized for me - I will post a pic when I get it.

theoprah what a beautiful idea! Our angel baby was due on feb. 9, my second daughter was born feb. 10. I remember sitting through feb. 9 that year just praying she wouldn’t be born that day. However, ever year I can look around on her bday and see how much good has come since we lost her and I can remember that God has a plan. I’m convinced lost can bring more good and grace and patience to the babies you get to hold in your arms

theoprah, I'm just catching up and wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss. It sucks, plain and simple, but you are certainly not alone. Feel free to vent to us. I had a loss over the summer and, like others, I got pregnant right away (some articles I read even say that fertility can be increased in the few months after a miscarriage). That being said, definitely take the time you need to heal.
