I’m still around. More so on my Jan ‘16 board and Fb. Holidays were good but busy. Nothing new here. DD2 turned 2 Dec 23 and DD1 will turn 5 on Jan 30. My kids are growing way too fast.

Still here, miss Brachysira's threads and ability to start us talking about anything. (I'm formerly expatmama fyi)
My Feb13 kid is doing great and really thriving. We joke that most of his fussing and complaining as a baby is because now he is very particular about how his clothing bunches up underneath his snowsuit, how his socks feel in his shoes, etc and it is such a great thing to have him be able to say clearly why he is soo uncomfortable. I really thing this is probably like 65% of the things he would scream and cry about as a baby-toddler that we could never appease.
Where we live he won't start school for another year. Right now he loves music, he sings kereoke with our playstation and can do a killer Freddy Mercury and Tom Petty. He is in a scout like organization (less religion, more outdoors stuff), horseback riding, and mostly just hanging out with friends.

Hi! I'm around, posting a lot on General Discussion and in the Celebrity Blinds thread.
DS is super excited to be turning five. I swear I say it every year, but he's really turning into a real live person. We're on the hunt for his Kindergarten for next year and it's hard to believe that I'll be the mom of a school aged child. But I'll be making it rain with all the daycare $ we'll be saving next year!

I kind of disappeared for a while, and just made it bad recently. I usually hang around J15 because it’s semi active there.
All is well here. My Feb13 kiddo is amazing! He’s doing so well at school and has learned so much already. He does tell me he doesn’t learn enough though so he asked his teachers to help him research towers. He’s so excited to be turning 5 at the end of feb and asks me literally every day how many more days until his birthday. We’re starting to plan his party now since we’re inviting the entire class (ugh, but I don’t want to traumatize anyone by not inviting them so it’s all or nothing). As of now the plan is trampoline park and he’s pretty excited for that! My J15 guy is now 2.5 and he’s full on terrible twos. He’s way too smart for his own good and always on the move. I’m starting a new job later this week, part time so we can save money on daycare costs for the little guy, I’m excited to get back to floor nursing. H is considering going back to school so there could be some big changes in our future.

Hey I am still around, but it's has been forever since I looked in on this board. My Feb 13 little guy is doing well. He is the best easiest kid ever. He has his best friends, and he is helpful, kind, sweet. My kids are all great, but he is my easiest one by far, just a joy to be around. He is super excited for his birthday too!
He is in preschool now but excited to go with his big brother to elementary school next year. I am nervous about how busy next year will be as far as drop off and pick up goes. Our kindergarten here is half day, so I will have one kid in high school, one kid in middle school, one in elementary, one in half day elementary, and a baby... yikes, lots of driving!
Good to hear from you all, kind of crazy our bmb has stuck together for so long, our babies will be 5!!!

wineandcake I have a July15 also but I never really got into their BMB. sagen, we have half day kindergarten too, but they decided it would be a good idea to set up something called Kindergarten Enrichment which is like a glorified daycare for the 2nd half of the day and make you pay for it.

I'm still here, mostly active on Aug15 (my DD2) and lurking sometimes on GD. My Feb13 kiddos are great. They are loving their second year of preschool and our decision to switch schools after last year has been amazing. I only wish we had done it sooner. Their new school goes above and beyond in every way possible it seems. My DD2 (2.5) has really hit the terrible twos in the past month or so. Everything seems to result in a tantrum. I've had more days than I can count where I've had to carry her out of the house kicking, screaming, and half-dressed because we had somewhere we had to be (like picking the big kids up from preschool) that we couldn't take the time to finsih out the tantrum at home. It's really wearing on me but I'm trying to remind myself that it won't be this way forever. I'm so glad this BMB is still here and it's pretty remarkable that it has lasted more than 5 years now. I miss the days when it was more active and there was more discussion. Thank you to summer for starting this thread to keep us all talking!

I am so glad to see/hear from all of you! I miss our board and will try to remember to do more updates. Sorry I haven't responded myself until now!
Feb13 kid is doing well. He adores preschool and is actually making friends (I was afraid he wouldn't because he has shown no interest in most other kids up to now). He is really excited about turning 5 and starting kindergarten. We had kinder registration last week and all the kids went with me to the school to do it. His eyes were as big as saucers and he asked if he could stay and play. Hopefully that will be a smooth transition! We are still having a lot of tantrums and freak-outs over what seems like nothing; I'm just trying to be patient and talk him through it. He and I clash, both being first kids and wanting to be in charge all the time. :-) He seems so smart to me; I'm sure he's normal but he has a great memory and says things that just surprise me so much.
Dec15 kid is still my little angel. She just turned 3 last month and has the sweetest temperament, but has a fair amount of sass too. She is starting a pre-ballet/tap class next week and she is so excited. I'm excited for her to have something that is just hers; everything else seems to be shared with her brother. She can be sensitive sometimes but she's mainly just a joy. She loves to bake with me, and we are just starting to be able to do that again.
Baby girl is almost 4 months old. Her sleep continues to vex me. On the plus side, she is sleeping through the night in her RnP. On the other hand, she cries herself to sleep for 10-20 minutes before every nap and bedtime, no matter what I do. It is breaking my heart! Anyone I ask for advice just say to let her keep doing it, and that she's fine. DH is completely unconcerned. I'm trying to believe she's fine but it feels so wrong and stresses me out so much. Otherwise, she is a very happy, bubbly, chunky baby with the most scrumptious thighs. She loves her siblings and lights up anytime a family member walks into view. She still prefers to be held more often than not, but I can put her down for some fair stretches too.

Not much new to report here. DD is doing very well in her pre-K program and started swim lessons 2 weeks ago, which she loves now. She still struggles with anxiety sometimes but I think it’s getting slightly better. Once she can get past her nervousness over doing something new, she usually enjoys herself. Kindergarten orientation will be in March and I need to pick up the packet of papers and figure out when/how to get her registered. I’m simultaneously excited about her starting school, because she definitely needs the mental and social stimulation, and in denial that she’s already old enough for it.
DS is slowly but surely becoming a little less challenging behaviorally. He can calm himself down quicker now, although he can still be very energetic and hard to control in public depending on the setting or his mood. He had a seizure on Monday after being seizure-free for almost a year. He had a low-grade fever that totally came out of the blue which I am sure triggered the seizure. He’s been fine since but it was a little frustrating to have him doing so well for so long and then such a low fever causing a seizure again. He is still getting PT and OT for some minor developmental delays.
Our first niece was born almost 3 weeks ago, making me an aunt for the first time, and my kids finally have a cousin! That’s been fun. Good to hear updates from you all!

Hey! DD2 (Feb 13 kid) is doing fantastically. She reminds me of a little me in so many ways. DD1 is way different from me in terms of personality and interests, so I think it's even more noticeable how much DD2 is like I was when I was little.
DD3 just turned 2 (!), and she STTN most of the time, although she's up at 5 and if we want her to sleep longer one of us goes into her room to lie with her. It is the first time in 7 years that we have been able to consistently STTN, though, and it makes such a big different in energy levels! The past 2 weeks the kiddos have been sick with the flu, so there was lots of nighttime waking again, and it just sucked the energy out of me.
