What happens if you are up for a scheduled c-section and go into labor before the scheduled date? Does it get turned into an asap "emergency " CS or? Assuming going natural isn't an option for medical reasons. This totally is a Q I will ask my MFM obv but that appointment isnt until the 19th and it is question that keeps bugging me. Sidenote: we don't kniw yet whether I will be able to go natural, if they are advice against it a CS it will be regardless of whether I go into labor before the scheduled date or not. Hence my wondering heh. I don't think it becomes a complete emergency situation. But you'll need to go to the hospital and they'll do your cs that day.

Thanks, yeah I thought something like that but wasn't sure. I guess it may also depend on how fast labor progresses? Thinking about actually giving birth to this baby inside my bump has been so otherwordly for so long but ahhhh tis getting closer now and I guess I'm starting to freak out a little Especially since a lot is still unknown.. but I know it'll work out one way or the other.

I don't know who will be able to answer this. But anyone see any truth to heartburn = baby having a lot of hair? I have had heartburn maybe 5 times this whole pregnancy and maybe baby will be bald? I guess I will report my findings eventually. Just curious ... I didn't have any heartburn and the baby was born with a ton of hair. 😊

Hence my wondering heh. They told me to call and come in if I go into labor before the CS date - it won't be an emergency unless you wait long or your labor progresses super fast. They did tell me that with a breech baby labor can progress faster but even then they weren't super concerned about it.

With DD I had constant heartburn and she barely had any...although she had more hair on her body than DS did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do any of you suffer like I do with thigh rub, and if so, what do you do to combat it? It's like 90+ around here this week and I'm super uncomfortable.

Body GlideI use Body Glide when I run, and if I am going to be walking a lot. The only problem is that sometimes you get some dye transfer from denim shorts, but it works really well.

I am almost 10 weeks, and I feel like there are things I need to be doing, but maybe I am just impatient. Are there things I should be doing (aside from doctor's appointments-type stuff)? Is there some kind of checklist?

I will definitely try it. Usually it's only an issue when I am wearing dresses but once the 1st tri fatigue leaves and I pick up walking more it will come in handy

I got some cheap ones from Target in a size up. I have to roll down the waistband right now to fit under my belly, but they stay put all day.

Is there some kind of checklist? Besides doctor's appointments, I think just taking your prenatal vitamins and eating healthy at this point is the most important thing! I think I also picked up some pregnancy/baby books and started to read those. I read "the Mayo Clinic guide to a healthy pregnancy" and "Brain Rules for Baby."

Definitely this. ironunicorn you'll feel the urge to get everything done right this second, but really, you have so much time. I'm 33 weeks and we've just accumulated our things these past 4 weeks or so. And still have some other things to get. If you feel the urge to shop, getting some clothes never hurt anyone 😉.

To those who are having baby sleep in their room, are you getting a separate changing table? I don't think walking from my room to the nursery in the middle of the night sounds like the best option. But there's limited room in my bedroom.

I'm still wearing the ones I had pre-pregnancy at almost 39 weeks (they stretch and I keep them under the bump). These are the ones I have: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00827RTRU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But there's limited room in my bedroom. I have a roll-up changing pad I'm keeping in the storage on the Arm's Reach co-sleeper along with a few diapers and wipes and we'll just do quick changes on the bed middle of the night. If it's a full diaper/blowout situation, we'll get up and go in the room with the real changing station.

Thanks 😃 ETA: it's so easy to overthink these small things. Lol

Fun fact! Braxton hicks can happen if you sit to long. Like in orientation all day. Boo. Most of the things I read about BH said to stop them by walking, implying you were sitting to start with. Mine mostly start when walking, bending, etc, so that made zero sense to me. But then I got some after sitting at my desk for a long time. So basically they can come on whenever. Ugh.

Yea, they can come whenever and change in movement should help them stop. So if they started while you were sitting, get up and move. If they started during activity, take a break. Movement + not enough water were my triggers.

At 9 months old, we still use the changing station on our pnp for 1st floor diaper changes and it works great. DS is getting a bit long for it, but it goes up to 25lbs and is better than going upstairs for every diaper change.

But there's limited room in my bedroom. We just moved the changing table into our room, then moved it into the nursery when DS started sleeping in there. If you have limited space you could always just set up a little pad on the floor and keep some basic supplies next to it.

We don't change her overnight unless absolutely necesary. Even as a newborn when they apparently pee and poop a million times a day/night? She never pooped overnight. #blessed Pee? We double diapered. If it got out and she was wet, sure. But otherwise we really tried to avoid it. The diapers, the PJs, the swaddle. It was a whole thiiiiiing that I hated to take apart.
