How many things did you register for ? How many things on your registry were bought for you ? And how many things did you have to get yourself ? I registered for about 60 items. I know many have more than that, to give a wide variety of items and prices. I'd say about half was purchased. I was luckily that most actually bought off the registry. We have been buying odds and ends ourselves. Our big ticket items were bought by family members fortunately. The crib, car seat/stroller travel set, bassinet. But we've shelled out $$ for most of the stuff.

We registered for about 40 items on Amazon and 25 items at Target. I'd say about 65-70 percent of the stuff on our registry was purchased for us, including some bigger ticket items (mamaroo, ergo 360, video monitor, travel system/car seat.). We purchased all the nursery furniture ourselves, and whatever was left on the registry after my baby shower. We received so many clothes and blankets - I'm glad I didn't register for clothes or buy any before my shower, because that might have encouraged even more clothes gifting. There were lots of newborn and 0-3 month outfits DS only wore once or twice, just because people went so crazy with the clothes.

pepperpottsj, I've just been wearing my regular bikini to the pool, my boobs are only a tad bit bigger so I'm not having any issues yet. 🤞🏼

No significant change since getting pregnant, but I put on a top that fit last year, and it was obscene. I guess bathing suit shopping is also on my list.

Question: for those of you who graduated from an RE, when did your OB first see you? I will graduate today at 8w3d, but I haven't scheduled an OB appt yet. I don't really care when, but trying to figure out when the OB visit will fall in regards to doing some testing.

I don't think I went to the OB until 13 weeks, but I was a speshul snowflake with how long my RE kept seeing me I would call for appointments asap, my RE promised to get me in with my OB since he kept me so long. What testing are you thinking of? panorama or Mat21? Those can't be done before 10 weeks, may make sense to ask you RE to do the. Draw if you want it as early as possible?

I wish IVF made my boobs grow! Lol good luck suit shopping.

Same for nursing bras - so many are wire-free. I have big boobs! Need support!

I got two to get through the first few weeks, then I have her card and I'll go back to her once things settle down to get more.

How many things did you register for ? How many things on your registry were bought for you ? And how many things did you have to get yourself ? We had two registries with around 70 things on each. Some were duplicates (one was Amazon and one was BBB, so gave the option to people who really wanted to shop in person). I'd say we got about half the things?

I'm so happy for you still 😊 I would call your OB asap, no matter HOW you got pregnant, they still want to see you on the same timeline. My RE released us after an early ultrasound at 6 weeks. I called my OB that day and they scheduled me for like later that week ish because they like to have your fist appt between 6 and 7 weeks. Seemed early to me (I feel like my first OB visit with DS was like 9 or 10 or something). So yea, once you get the boot, then I'd call.

ironunicorn I agree with what everyone said here - go ahead and call your OB to set up an appointment. I graduated from my RE at 7.5 weeks and had my first appointment with my OB at 8 weeks.

@starzia, I registered for 40 items and got about 32 of them at the shower. I've seen registries with 100+ items including every single tiny thing like $2 pacifiers. I did not do that, I only put on things $20+. I also made it known through FB posts that I was so grateful for all the hand me down clothing I had already received from friends- this was the perfect way of telling people not to fucking buy newborn clothes and it worked lol.

Anyone else leaking milk during pregnancy? I'm only 21 weeks, but when I was in the shower this morning, I noticed some white stuff coming out of lefty. Wasn't colostrum - seemed like the normal color of my milk. Anyone have leaking this early on?
I weaned DS about 14 weeks ago...in case that matters.

Mine still do occasionally and I have not breastfeed in seven months.

I leaked around that time during my first pregnancy, and a few times after that. This time I leaked a tiny bit around 28 weeks but nothing since.

I want to say with DS1, it started around 20 weeks and around 24 weeks with DS2. At 6.5 weeks PP, still occasionally leak. MW told me last year that some women will always have some milk that will leak, even months or years after stopping.

What happens if you are up for a scheduled c-section and go into labor before the scheduled date? Does it get turned into an asap "emergency " CS or? Assuming going natural isn't an option for medical reasons.
This totally is a Q I will ask my MFM obv but that appointment isnt until the 19th and it is question that keeps bugging me. Sidenote: we don't kniw yet whether I will be able to go natural, if they are advice against it a CS it will be regardless of whether I go into labor before the scheduled date or not. Hence my wondering heh.

I don't know who will be able to answer this. But anyone see any truth to heartburn = baby having a lot of hair? I have had heartburn maybe 5 times this whole pregnancy and maybe baby will be bald? I guess I will report my findings eventually. Just curious ... I think it's an old wives tale. I've had heartburn quite a bit and I think this baby will be bald. I guess we'll see in a couple weeks!

I guess I will report my findings eventually. Just curious ... I had lots and lots of heartburn with DS, and he did come out with a full head of hair. I also found below on CBS news...Johns Hopkins did a study on this old wives tale, and they actually did find a correlation between heartburn and babies with more hair. Not to say you'll have a bald baby though, and besides - your baby will be super cute, hair or not! MYTH OR TRUTH: Heartburn means a hairy baby. Answer: TRUTH! It's one of the oldest wives tales in the book: if you have bad heartburn during pregnancy, you can look forward to a baby with a full head of hair. Nonsense, right? Well, a study done at Johns Hopkins, published in the journal Birth, found that there is a correlation between severity of heartburn and the hairiness of a newborn. Heartburn usually strikes in the third trimester and is due to estrogen causing the esophageal sphincter to relax, which allows stomach acid to splash up into the esophagus. Estrogen appears to be responsible for hair growth in the developing baby. www.cbsnews.com/news/pregnancy-myths-exposed-31-08-2009/
