Hey ladies! Happy weekend! I'm flying home today, pretty excited to be back home. Vacation is always good, but nothing beats your home.

cythe How was the shower? We are taking DD to the zoo this morning. She was a little too excited about it and was up at 5:30 ready to go and screaming for "ZOO!" It's a small city zoo so we should be back in time for a nap.

danvers Shower was good! I was genuinely concerned that I was going to end up with 75 baby blankets (my family sews) and like 0 things from my registry. I wasn't terribly far off lol. I made it out with only 3 baby blankets but I got a ton of clothes and bibs. So. Many. Bibs! As much as I like to joke, I needed all the things so I cannot complain. Food was good, family was good and that's all I really had hoped for! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

You may still end up with more blankets yet in a family that sews! Now to start organizing and putting things where you want them for October. It just seems more real!!!

Glad you had a good shower cythe!! Morning! We're out shopping with the ILs before we have to take MIL to the airport and head home. I'm so happy our travels are over. I have to finish planning DD's birthday party, which is next Saturday. The location is booked and they do all the decorations, I just have to plan food. I don't think we're going to have a ton of people. It makes me sad when DDs little friends don't come. Especially because I make a point to go to all of theirs even though we're always having to travel like an hour for a 2 hour party. We also have 2 year photos next Sunday and I haven't chosen a location.

Morning, up early today so went to the garden center to get plants for my last two planters. They are all done, H is finishing up the front garden. My back is killing me so he gets to get down on his hands and knees to do the planting. Next we are off to the Spring Fair parade and then to the fair to meet some friends.

cythe So glad to hear you had a nice shower. We were gifted SO MANY baby blankets. Like, at least 30 of them. Lots of bibs too. We only used a fraction and ended up giving most away. C'est la vie I guess!

Our weekend has been going well so far. DS had a party at his school this morning, which was a little end of year celebration for parents and the kids. While I couldn't attend, DH said he had a fun time - they had champagne which I think he liked the most hahaha. DS also got to try marshmallows for the first time. I think it is the first candy he's ever had. They rocked his world and he kept trying to grab more to shove in his mouth. Oh boy...it starts.... Also - I was able to see baby kicks from the outside of my bump for the first time today. That was fun

I ❤️ R Kelly. Not the underage and pee stuff but his music reminds me of drunk college. This was supposed to quote blackmamba. Randoms title is from his song Ignition for those younger and/or less drunk than I was in college.

Our candy intake def upped when DS2 came and I needed some bribe helped by still. I'm impressed!

I was up this morning from 1:30-4 with heartburn and the had to be up for my flight to Pittsburgh. Rough night, but travel was great and I'm having a blast with the rest of the planning committee. Looking forward to the conference tomorrow.

Gaaaaah, I am so sick of throwing up. I shouldn't really complain, as the actual MS subsided weeks ago... but I'm very sensitive to smells this time around, and if I start gagging there is a 75% chance I will vomit. And a 50% chance I will end up peeing my pants while doing it.
Last pregnancy, I vomited once. ONCE.

DD just tried handing me a piece of poop. I....dont know where it came from.
Well I know it came from her diaper, but I don't know what kind of Houdini ish she pulled to get it out of there.

rebeccabunch I think we're just lucky that DS is a good eater! He loves veggies and fruits...and bitting into lemons. He's so weird. So I guess we've never really had a need to give him candy. He is pretty motivated by verbal praise and stickers, so we did that for potty training instead of m&ms or something. I think it's just luck honestly. Although now that he's had marshmallows, who knows if we've opened Pandora's box. 😅

seventythree So sorry about the nausea and throwing up. I was nauseous and throwing up for DS' entire pregnancy - up until the day before I delivered him. I know how much it sucks not to get a break from it. ☹️

So sorry seventythree. I'm still nauseous and having trouble eating regular food due to lingering food aversions. Every time I think I've beat it and try to skip a nausea pill, I throw up. I even had trouble eating Chipotle tonight. My body needs to get it together. Hopefully this passes for us soon!!! Like, REAL soon.

Curious since it's so different than your last pregnancy. It's another girl! I was kinda guessing boy since I started craving salty and savory food the minute the pee stick dried (y'know, before all food began to suck), and with DD I was 100% sweet tooth. Go figure.

danvers, Hope you had a great day at the zoo! We took DS today for the first time to the aquarium and he was out of his bed faster than the speed of light this am! Luckily he stayed asleep until his usual wake up time 6:45.

cythe, so happy for you that you're able to start enjoying planning to welcome your first baby! I think you'll be surprised by how much bibs you'll go through and will be glad to have them all! I thought my sister was crazy when she sent me all her stuff from her kids and there was a huge pile of bibs but I soon found out she wasn't nuts after all.

Had a busy week playing catch up with house shit and it was DS' birthday yesterday - I hate it when it falls on a week day, I know...they don't know and care. How is my baby 3 already!!! Luckily work has significantly calmed down and I am back to my PT hours so I managed to whip up a quickie cake for him yesterday since we're planning on having his party after we get our backyard landscaping partially completed - well at least the patio part will hopefully break ground in a couple of weeks and completed by mid July??!!. The rest will hopefully be completed by the time the baby shows up. We're also hoping to make some progress with the office reno ; In other words, the house is looking a little ghetto esp. our bedroom since we've had to move everything out of the office and most of it is stuffed in our bedroom and to top it off, the el cheapo blinds finally broke in our room so we have a blanket hanging across the drapery rod. Oh..the rod's been up for a while, I just never got around to making the drapes so am now int he process of sewing curtains and without an "office" I can work in, it's super slow since I can only sew at night on our dining table after cleaning up. Glad that I did finally order fabric like 4 months ago haha! so at least I don't have to spend time looking for fabric since that took like forever but I am on a mission now to get that done and start sewing drapes for the "formal" dining room which we don't use as a dining room - my folks use it as a 2nd living room for them. So lots of stuff going on in the duskymonkey houzz now. We did make it to the aquarium for the first time today with DS and he was sooooo beyond excited about it and we had a great time!

Taitai , I remember eating my first marshmallow when I was a kid and it was like biting into a sweet cloud of heaven, your DS has good taste I was about 10 or 11 I think and an aunt of mine brought it from Singapore and since it couldn't be bought in my home country - at least not in my village, maybe in the big city, I attempted to make it! LOL! It actually turned out ok since the ingredients were simple and pretty easy to make. Geez! Now I want some marshmallows! SaveSave

duskymonkey Hopefully your getting some help with those renos, it sounds like a lot to take on! cougarette Sending you all the coffee today. Hopefully your guys just have man colds. AFM I'm at work today, luckily upper management isn't around so I can dress more casual than business. The fair was super fun yesterday, DD had an amazing time. She loved seeing all of the farm animals except for when they got too close, that's the only time I've seen her scared of anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
