Venting a bit- H has a cold he was snoring most of the night. So I didn't sleep well. E is sleeping awfully I think it's teething no idea.
And the nanny is texting me advice about our cats.....
I am so over this cold weather. H still hasn't said anything about the Bahamas in March. It can be so exhausting being married to someone who can't make decisions.....

I hear you about the cold weather peaseblossom55, it's been brutal and is so unmotivating. I don't want to go out to do anything, fun shopping, necessity shopping, or social events for ds. My brother came to visit today. He just broke up with his girlfriend last week, who was my bridesmaid and a college friend of mh's, sooooooo that's awkward. She wanted to get married and have babies asap but he wasn't ready. It's as amicable as it can be at this point. They'd been together three years. I gave him a bunch of household stuff since he's not taking any of their jointly purchased stuff, plus it saves me a trip to donate it. |

Boo to the cold here too! Today is back to work after 12 days off. I am ready to get back to our routine but my brain still hasn’t caught on that I need to get a ton of work done. Oh and the sick baby who cries out multiple times a night. I’m thinking she might be headed back to the pediatrician tomorrow. The Bahamas sounds fantastic right about now peaseblossom55. That would be the perfect trip to look forward to. I think all of our vacations this year will be beach trips with our families - we’ve done a week with H’s family the past few years and this year my mom demanded that we spend a week at their beach condo too. I don’t love the idea of using 2/3 of our vacation time for that every year but it will be good for this year when extra hands for the kids are key. But now I want to plan a kid-free trip to REALLY relax for a few days! |

I'm curious as to what advice your nanny has for the cats... Lol She thinks one of the cats should have her own room in the house since the other cats bully her. They do sometimes but her own room is so not the solution. |

Lakes oh that sucks for your brother. carrots h and I were talking about it and he seems pretty sure that it will be pretty difficult to fly with her and we will have to fly with too much stuff. I really want to go but I worry too about flying with her and having to deal with all 3 of us sleeping in one room for a week.

We are going on a kid-free vacay in 3 weeks. I'm trying to get excited, but I'm mostly just stressing out about my 3yo being an ass for the sitter, and having enough milk for A...

judyblume14 I'm in a similiar boat. Mh and I are spending the weekend in the city later this month for my birthday. I'm not worried about the toddler because the grandparents are watching them but I'm worried about dd's milk, not sleeping through the night, and her crappy naps. Hopefully I'll forget my worries after a drink or two! Mine is just for two days and one night. How long is your trip?

B is 1 on Monday. Where did the time go? We are doing 2 smaller birthday celebrations for him instead of one massive one like we did for DD. We'll do family get togethers at my parents and my in-laws. I have some mom guilt over not going all out for B, but right after the holidays it just feels like too much. I did manage to bake and decorate a cake and do a cake smash photo shoot for B this past weekend. I'm glad that memory-wise I'll at least have the same milestone pics for him that I do for DD. I'll post pics in a minute. I'm no ashtog (girl, where you at?!), but I'm happy with them.  |

Shaping up to be a lazy day here. We have 3 inches so far but it's very windy. I can barely see down my block so we are staying home today. I might work on packing up Christmas decorations and purging stuff to donate. But only if I feel motivated. Right now I am too cozy to think about work. I got back into comfy clothes after showering, have a cup of hot tea, and am watching the brave little birds who are venturing to my feeder in this weather.
My poor h's office is still open. He decided to walk to the trolley stop instead of driving. He was bundled up something ridiculous for his journey. It's only a 5 minute walk but hopefully he doesn't freeze too much.

Corner neighbor just texted me. She is not in labor but asked me to be on standby because her h had to work in NJ and her parents are an hour away in good weather. She would drive herself to the hospital and have me watch her toddler. 😬
I could have driven the first hour or two after my water broke, the contractions were not that bad yet, but that does not seem ideal. My snow driving skills are A++ but I don't think we could get all three car seats in either of our vehicles. We have the same seats and basically the same car.

Eeek hoping that baby stays put Lakes! This weekend last year we were supposed to get a big snow storm and I’ve been thinking about giant pregnant ladies every time we have a weather event since. So much more stress! Double ear infection for baby M plus two top teeth have cut through. So so sleepy over here but the meds seem to be helping her! It’s almost spring, right? |

So we found water leaking down the wall in our basement. Mostly dripping but H thinks it's coming from the roof. So he is having roofers come by tomorrow to see what is going on. I foresee us needing to redo part of our roof. Sigh.

Any chance a bunch of snow got blown in some place crazy by the insane wind we've had and now it's melting? I thought I had a leak in my bathroom ceiling this summer but the crazy storm just blew the rain in through the venting stack. Fx it's not a big repair. |

I have been super productive today! Multiple loads of laundry (only half folded though 😉), dishes, January birthday cards ready to mail, ordered dd's invitations, finished a craft project, made art with ds, watered house plants, filled the various bird feeders, meal planned, and made my grocery list for tomorrow.
Now it's time for a little break and a cup of tea!
