Does anyone else have an octopus baby? Every time I go to nurse E It's like he gets 10 extra hands. They are in his mouth, grabbing at my chest, pulling on my shirt. It is a constant battle to get them out of the way.

I hope you got some sleep. I hope today is going smoothly too. Toddler stayed the night at ILs last night since dc is closed, but tomorrow may be my first solo day with both and I’m scared. Mil said they could come help, so I guess I have help on call. Yesterday I did both kids for several hours and I was exhausted. And sore because dd still tests not listening to me which means I sometimes have to pick her up.

Well, I had high hopes of pumping this morning. That didn't happen. Maybe I'll be able to tomorrow when my DH doesn't have to leave at 6:30.

I know three weeks ago I would have prayed for a nights sleep like this, but things got much better and now we are apparently enjoying a six week sleep regression and growth spurt and I want to break things. Yesterday, I wouldn't have been up to feed her once yet. This is time number 3 since trying to go to bed myself at 9:30, and she's a mess and will not go down without 40-60 min of rocking each time. And I want my husband to help but my toddler was being such a jerk tonight (and is sleeping like shit too, so that's fun/it's something in the water) that I know he isn't getting much sleep either, and he has to drive her to daycare tomorrow.
I was so sleep deprived yesterday I almost got into an accident, so given that I've had like two hours of sleep tonight, I guess I won't be going anywhere tomorrow.
*insert primal scream of sleep-deprived rage here*

Oh no officedronette! I hate growth spurts. They are great for baby but suck the life out of mom. Is there anyone who could come by for a bit, so you could get a nap in?

Husband is still on leave, thankfully. Unfortunately my mom/sister are back at work after the break. My issue is if I have to "get up" for the day, I have a LOT of trouble falling back asleep and it's worse the more tired and sleep deprived I am - probably something about all the hormones flooding to keep me awake, and then others to try to go to sleep, and I just end up feeling more like a hot mess. So here's hoping the toddler doesn't come into my room when she wakes up for the day and wakes me up (LOL forever, since that's what she seems to live for these days - not to see my face, just because she apparently wants to scream at my husband in our room first before moving downstairs).

I'm not a mapper either so I get it. But even if you could lay down for a while it might help. If not, there's always coffee.

All the coffee ladies!! I just had a bottle frappicinno and I'm debating making a cup of coffee.
Biggest fear for nights and going back to work. She gives me a great 5 hour stretch which is typical and gets up sometime between 2-4. But then struggles to go back to sleep. Example, last night got up at 3:30, didn't get her back to sleep until 5:30. Going back to work I will need to get up at 5:15 to get me and the girls ready with some built in time. So effectively I will be waking up at 3:30. Coffee, coffee, coffee

jenn83 what kind of job do you have? I'm a CPA by trade, but I'm in management now at a refining petrochemical company - specifically project controls.

jenn83, getting up for the day at 3:30 happened a lot with N so I feel your pain. I got up at 4:30 to pump every morning on those days he slept later. I consumed a lot of coffee then.

I got a 4.5 hr stretch earlier, almost hr sleep for me but my boobs were so full! He latched, then unlatched and Milk squirted all over his face and across the boppy. Good thing I had my Haakaa to release some.

Good thing I had my Haakaa to release some. My kid always takes both boobs at each feeding but the other night fell asleep on the first side and would not wake up for the other. By the next feeding, I thought I was going to explode.
